"The way to this reviewers heart is through his stomach. This hotel's breakfast was absolutely amazing. You will never get as good a breakfast in the fanciest places in Thamel as you do at Tulaja - and breakfasts in Thamel that attempted to come close to Tulaja's would charge you at least 400 NPRs. The praise doesn't end with the food: there was lashings of hot water and the room/bed was just perfect. To top it all off, the young friendly staff were an absolute delight - attentive whist not 'lingering' behind you whilst dining. Bhaktapur itself reminded me of Rhodes old town (in Greece) but with an abundance of temples for you to ponder over for hours. You also get far more bang for your buck (value for money) than in Kathmandu and prices for everything seem to be a lot lower in Bhaktapur. "

"The hotel is tiny and cozy. Nicely decorated with Nepali cultural elements. Lighting is very sufficient, hot water is strong. I am lucky to enjoy a big discount due to system error which was actually not agreeable by the hotel, but the owner just generously welcomed me to stay. All the staffs I met were helpful and cheerful. It’s an enjoyable experience. Beware you will need to pay the Old Town tourist entrance fee (around USD15), or you will need to google-mapping for another local route to skip the entrance fee - I succeeded a few times, but that’s really a steep slope.
