Bupyeong-gu hotels & places to stay

The hotel is located in a peaceful area within 10 mins walk from Galsan subway station. The double room was a good size, was very clean and includes a large flat screen tv, fast wifi (throughout the hotel), and a full array of toiletries. My wife thought that the shower gel and shampoo were excellent. Furthermore, the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially the manager who speaks excellent English. There is the option of room service and breakfast with a Café Nescafe forming part of the hotel. Overall, we were very pleased we booked this hotel for our short stay in Incheon as it provided the relaxing break we were looking for, together with easy access to the restaurants and nightlife of Bupyeong and Rodeo Street, and was excellent value for money.

This really was an amazing place, the owners are so friendly and helpful, they greet you everyday and ask about your plans for the day, they give you suggestions and directions if you need it. They become like your Korean family. The room was small and homie, very practical place, the building is very cool and the coffee shop down below is so nice. It's a nice hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and offered their help. The room was very cold when I arrived but after running the heating for a bit I was fine. I spent the first few minutes in the lovely heated bed which was heaven after being out in the cold. It's a stone's throw to Baegun station which takes you straight into Bupyeong, Bucheon, or Seoul. Cons: Although they do offer free wifi as advertised, it seems to be available only in the lobby. Although it was clean enough for my tastes, I know some people who would expect a little bit cleaner.

the room is big actually which is not usual in hostel. But it is totally not enough socket outlet for charging your cell phone, and you cannot find one close to your bed too. Besides, I booked 2 nights 4 beds dorm room, but turned out stay in 10 beds dorm in the first night, and I was basically fine with that. However, when I back to hostel in the second day, they told me I have to change another room (still not 4 beds but 6 beds). And what is unacceptable is they moved my luggage and all the stuffs by themselves without noticing me before that.

I stayed one night at Hotel 9 Nine in Bupyeong. I had a standard room (Room #510) - for a cost of 40,000 Won. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. No reviews to guide me. I had thought it might be old and/or dirty. I have stayed at two other hotels in the past that were similar stars and cost – Hotel 9 Nine was much better than either of them. Checked in just after 2:00PM. Guy at the front desk spoke a little English but very friendly. Quick check-in. Room was small but very clean. New big screen TV with lots of channels – although most of them were in Korean – enough English channels to give me something to watch. Bed and sheets were clean. Bed was hard – but I prefer that. No windows at all in this room (#510) so nice and dark for sleeping. Room #510 is right next to the elevator but only heard a couple people talking in the hallway in the morning. Bathroom was clean. Had a rain shower although it did not work – that was the only thing that did not work in the room. Just used the handheld and that was fine. One strange thing. All the bedding said “Today Motel”. I think I saw a sign on the outside that said the same. Location is relatively easy to find – about a five minute walk from Bupyeong Station. The hotel is located literally steps away from the area where a lot of 20-somethings go to eat and drink. This area is known as an “entertainment area” - and is known for having lots of places for cheap eats and drinks. I met some Korean friends and we went to “Rooftop Bar” where they were having a special – 750ml bottle of vodka, rum or gin for 19,900 Won. Hard to beat that. Anyway, overall experience at Hotel 9 Nine was better than I had expected. I have stayed at other places in this area – but will stay at Hotel 9 Nine again if I come back.
