Where to stay in Hoi An
Hoi An hotels & accommodations

We have over the past years stayed at a few hotels in Hoi An town. Little Riverside is definitely on top of the list. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location just outside the old town (two minutes walk) and just on the river side (like the hotel name implies) - good breakfast with plenty choices, and the dinners were good as well. The spa service was really...

the sunrise is a fairly new hotel, the staff were very friendly and accomodating. they provided a free shutttle bus to hoi an, however one night it didn't come, we had phoned them they were happy for us to catch a cab back to the hotel and they pay for it.the beach in front of the hotel we were not able to swim in however they have a secluded beach next to the hotel wh...

We had such an amazing time at the Allegro hotel in Hoi An. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. The staff greeted us with smiles and helpful information at every chance. They were so friendly and fabulous with my son who was not feeling well the first few days we were there as he was getting over the flu. The hotel itself is charming and lovely. You feel...

This is my third stay at a La Siesta property and the first time in Hoi An. I continue to be impressed by this chain’s high standards in hospitality and professionalism, particularly when dealing with an issue we had - not with the hotel but with one of the restaurants they recommended. My friends and I will continue staying at La Siesta properties when in Vietnam....

Plenty of hotels are described as 'Luxury' but few actually make the mark: The Victoria does. The location is calm & quiet and the facilities are excellent. Be aware that you cannot really have a 'resort' or 'beach' hotel in Hoi An town itself (and it wouldn't have the 'calm' of the Victoria if you could). It has to be that short drive away, which is why the Victori...

Our stay in Hoi An was overall an excellent experience. Lasenta itself is a very new hotel (3 months from what the concierge told us) and it definitely shows. Upon arriving, we were given a cold towel and a cool herbal drink and then were given the run down of information before being taken to our room. The concierge were always attending to our needs whether it's cal...

I stayed at Hoi An River Town Hotel between December 25th and 29th, 2016. Before we flew to Vietnam we were concerned about the floods on the news in Hoi An; the hotel staff E-mailed us before our flight to let us know that the area surrounding the hotel was unaffected. After our arrival - and indeed throughout the duration of our stay - the staff were attentive, poli...

My wife and I are VERY happy with everything about this hotel. The staff is truly amazing and goes out of their way to make you feel special and have a great time during your stay in Hoi An. 1. First, let me say that I contacted the hotel to help me surprise my wife with a beautifully decorated room, and they did an AMAZING JOB. I asked for small cake, flowers and d...

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this boutique hotel and had an amazing time in Hoi An. The service was the best we received in our Vietnam trip and special mention to Elsa and Bella at reception who struck up a connection with our 2 young children and went out of their way to spoil them. My daughter was in tears on the last day and cried all the way to the airport beca...

this is such a lovely Place to stay in hoi an! a small, beautiful and very personal boutique hotel close to the city yet located in a more area of the town, so one can have a space to relax and recharge here. the breakfast is also great and the staff is keen to make you feel comfortable and that you have everything you need. pools are lovely too, there you can bo...

Staying at Little hoi an beach boutique was an a amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is brand new, very luxurious, and rooms are very clean. All of the staff were very kind and took an interest in getting to know us, going out of their way to tell us about local life, things to do in town, and helping us with any request we had. In particular, Joy...

i've stayed in a guesthouse in hoi an before, but really wanted a swimming pool this time. hoi an hotel is beautifully kept, with a great swimming pool area (though the jacuzzi is cold, which is a shame this time of year) and friendly helpful staff delivering at a solid four-star standard. this is a big resort, that clearly takes tour groups (who do crowd the buffet ...

Stop searching for a hotel in Hoi An! You've already found it!! We've travelled from South to the north and this absolutely is the best hotel in Vietnam. Why? Let me tell you: 1. Decor and style: it's a colonial style hotel that expresses in essence word "boutique". Increadibly charming and gives you that unique experience of Vietnam 2. Location: fantastic - 3 min w...

Excellent choice for staying in Hoi An. hotel is right on the beach, very stylish, modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were varied and good selection and you could sit outside appreciating nice gardens or inside in the air conditioning. Bedrooms were good size, comfy large beds with seating area, nice well equipped bathrooms with large shower. You could walk alon...

This hotel is absolutely mind-blowing. While we booked the hotel we did not have much expectation. However, as soon as we stepped into the hotel we were so fascinated. They greeted us with a warm smile. The stuff was so well motivated that they created a positive energy among us after a long day. We were absolutely blown away by the friendliness of the stuff. From the moment to arrive to the moment you leave everything was perfect. Gorgeous beaches, lovely pool, beautiful spacious, clean rooms with big comfy beds. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a huge choice from Vietnam to western, sweets, savouries etc. Several lovely restaurants and bars on site with delicious menus. The staff are fabulous, very professional, wel...

We stayed here for 4 nights when we were in Hoi An. We absolutely loved Hoi An Silk Village - it has been the best hotel we have stayed in during our Asia trip so far. The service was over the top - the staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us out. They knew it was our anniversary and the first day provided a cake and flowers for us in our roo...

Stayed at the Muong in Hoi An for 10 nights over New Years Eve (wife and 1 year old child). Wish I had stayed longer. Way better than the Van Pearl in Halong Bay (was a 5 Star island resort). Upgraded to Executive suit and definitely worth it. New Year Eve party was excellent. Swam in the ocean then pool every day. Food was safe and mosquitos where never an issue.Staff...

I read previous reviews concerning the Hoi An Beach resort, particularly that the rooms were old and in much need of painting. Also I read criticism about the staff, particularly the reception staff not being friendly. My experience from my recent visit (March 2010) was that all staff, including the reception staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The reso...

We were so glad that we picked Hoi An Eco Lodge & Spa for our stay in Hoi An. It was absolutely perfect and the staff was so service-minded. It's a fairly new hotel and they're still building here and there but nothing that'll annoy you for sure. We stayed in the biggest room - the Club Suite - and if you wanna spoil yourself this is really nice, especially with the ...

Our stay at Pho Hoi Riverside Resort was everything we wanted, the staff were friendly and helpful, our room had everything we needed but did wonder why no towel rails, bed was a bit hard but seems to be the norm in most places we have stayed in Vietnam (not a big deal ). We enjoyed the breakfasts but ate out the rest of the time as there were so many beautiful restau...

I would say the stay at Little Hoi An was one of the best throughout our whole Vietnam trip, well maybe even better than any we had in Singapore. They had the best customer service, which me and my bf were really happy with. We were greeted with smiles and lots of useful information when we first checked in. All the staffs were really friendly and smiley, especially Hi...

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was huge, super clean, and had an amazing view of the pool and river. We had a good size balcony with comfortable chairs and a little table. Breakfast was included and we always left full! The best part is the staff!! We call them our Hoi An family. Flower, first greeted us and took care of every little thing we neede...

This place is absolutely stunning. It was a nice & quiet change after visiting Hanoi for a few days and before heading on down to Ho Chi Minh. I was traveling with family and we had an amazing time. They have a shuttle that runs about 4-5 times per day taking you into Hoi An or a taxi is about $3 one way. Lynn at the front desk was an amazing host and helped us with ...
Cheap places to stay in Hoi An

The location was perfect. Under 10 minutes walking from the main area but was also suburb because this meant the location was nice and quiet. The pool was very clean and well looked after and the breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were amazing and couldnt do enough to help you with everything you needed. Moon gave us lots of information on further travel a...

Really enjoyed staying here. It’s within walking distance to Old Town (15 mins) yet located far enough away to be quiet and away from the tourists. My room was spacious and bed very comfortable with a balcony. Shower pressure great and the breakfast varied and delicious with fresh fruit every day. You can rent bicycles and scooters directly from the hotel at a fair p...

My boyfriend and I stayed one night at Melody. Because we had so little time in Hoi An, Vicky’s kindness and helpfulness allowed us to make the most of our short time. She showed us all the best places to visit, and she has bikes and motorbikes for guests to use. She even helped us book transportation to our next destination. Our room was very clean and the bathroom wa...

The family who owns the place are some of the most awesome people I've ever met in Vietnam, and that is a high bar because everyone seemed to bend over backwards for your convenience. The best thing about Skybird is that the rooms are huge and you get an actual bed, not a bunk. The place provides bikes for free, and the owner insisted that I take a book from their shel...

The staff was super nice, helpful and genuine. The family dinner they make every night is very tasty and it only costs 50k which is very cheap compared to when u go out for dinner in hoi an. Its a nice and quiet place and its only a 5 minute walk from the beach.

We stayed here in December 2016. Whilst it is not in the center of Hoi An, it is well situated between the town and the beach, so you have both options. There are free bicycles for use, or you can hire a moped if you are a bit lazier.. like us! The rooms are perfect for the price paid, in fact the best we have had in all of Vietnam. We opted for the first floor room ...

Sky and his family have a gorgeous house with a coi pond inside, free bicycle rental, and a wonderful choice of breakfast options. You can choose from 4 local noodle soups for breakfast, including beef pho, Quang noodles, cao lau noodles, and chicken noodle soup. Everything we ate was yummy. You could also get western options like toast, pancakes, or omelette. Drinks i...

Hands down best spot in Hoi An! Extremely comfy atmosphere, the host family is so nice and helpful. We arrived super early from an over night bus and they got us checked in two hours faster (i also fell asleep on the couch in their living room and its super comfy). The room is great size with a comfy bed, tv, a hot shower! and its nice and quiet! Bike rental for 100,00...

My stay at Villa Riverside was wonderful. We had stayed in the town earlier and found it horrible. Our host at Villa Riverside never tried to sell us anything or make us go to dressmakers for her commission, she was only there to kindly welcome us and make sure everything was up to scratch. The breakfast and coffee was always superb with her accommodating our vegetaria...

Villa Jolie Hoi An Homestay, simply put, is the gold standard in its class. Set in an upscale, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood just far enough distant from the hurly-burly of Hoi An and yet a mere ten minute, complimentary bicycle ride from the Old City, Villa Jolie provides all the amenities, while extending the courtesies worthy of a boutique hotel, at backpacker pric...

Ly is without a doubt the best host I have stayed with, at any point in my 3 months in Asia. She is kind, her food is amazing and she is so, so helpful. The location is out of Hoi An town, but I found it perfect - the village is a pottery village, you can look around at what the locals are making & selling and you MUST visit the pottery museum (literally on the corner...

We had a fantastic stay at this homestay, located close to the center of Hoi An. Our room was exceptionally clean, bright, and very large, an excellent value. The staff was incredibly friendly and warm, and really cared about how we were doing and showed interest in where we planned to go in Hoi An. Next door to the homestay is a vegan restaurant that was cheap and del...

I really enjoyed staying at RedRosa villa in Hoi An. The host was very welcoming and Tina at reception very helpful and informative. Rooms are clean and breakfast is great. Location is a big plus as you can reach the city centre in 15 minutes walking or alternatively you can take a bike (free to rent at the hostel). Buses to Da Nang stop opposite the hostel and buses f...

When my flight got delayed for 2 hours, I immediately contacted them to let them know about it as I also booked an airport transfer. It was already past midnight but just a minute after I exited the airport, the driver was already there. Room was very big. They had free bikes that can be used to roam around Hoi An. The whole family was very nice. Too bad we only sta...

Since the dorm room has only four beds there is a nice family atmosphere. Free breakfast choices are great and love the real Vietnamese coffee with it. Free bikes is a huge plus as there is so much to discover in and around Hoi An. The staff is very friendly. The room and bathroom are clean and the shower is the best hot & strong shower I had in one month in Vietnam. F...

New, clean accommodation with both fan and AC located in a quiet neighbourhood, 10min walk from the bus station. Bicycles free to use, old city and the beach a short ride away. The owner who speaks English was rarely around so sometimes we didn't have a chance to ask questions. The gate is closed early so not for those who like a night out.

Great family-run homestay near Cau Dai beach. Rooms are well-appointed, possibly the nicest we've experienced over 3 months of travelling. It's a 50 minute walk to Hoi An ancient town, though there are free to rent bikes for those averse to the walk (we enjoyed it!), and a 20 minute walk to An Long beach. Taxis to town were 80000 dong. The best part, for us, was the ...

When we arrive there, the staff told us their hostel is not available right now, beacuse they are doing some repairing and decoration work. Then the owner took us one by one to his sister's hostel by his motocycle, which is nearby. So we actually lived in his sister's place: Hoang Thu Homestay. The room is quite big and clean. The breakfast is also good, by the way, es...

If you are looking for somewhere clean and comfortable then this is the place! Warm and hospitable hosts and the location is great - short walk from Hoi An's busy Ancient Town but far enough for peace and quite. Rooms are well equipped with everything you might need. If you are working while you travel like me then Wi-Fi here is super fast. They have motorbikes and cyc...

Home farm villa is the place to be if you’re looking for tranquility our of the city city but still at a very convenient distance (and close to the beach as well). Phuc is an excellent host and makes sure you’ll have a fantastic stay. Always available, smiley and helpful with anything. One day she organized a mini tour to the fishing village in the early morning. Faci...

This is a lovely guesthouse about 15 mins walk from the old quarter. The owners are lovely kind hearted people. They gave us all the required information on what to see and do in Hoi An. They also let us have breakfast at 11 when we did the sunrise tour of my son which was so nice of them. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was absolutely amazin...

The staff are amazing. The breakfast was nice 2 eggs in a banh mi and it’s free. 5minute walk from old town. Only problem is there is a club next door it does shut at 12 but had to put 4/5 stars for location just as I had a train early this morning and didn’t get to sleep until after 12. I am a light sleeper although. Overall I was so so happy with my stay I booked ano...

At Hoi An Cottage Villa you will always be welcomed with a smile. We had booked for two nights and ended up staying one more since the place and staff were so brilliant. The rooms are also brand new and clean. After getting used to all the simple budget breakfasts in Vietnam it was an incredible surprise what we were served. Decent bread (not basic toast), butter, j...

We had planned to stay in Hoi An for 2 or 3 days, but ended up staying for 5 days because the location was so nice. The family was very inviting and friendly. I got sick to my stomach for 2 days (not from the hostel food!) and they were super caring. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and so much better than what we had come to expect in Vietnam. Everything was clean a...

the vinh hung riverside is likely the best hotel in hoi an, with a combination of location service and great rooms. it is by the riverside, very peaceful and yet just a 5 minutes walk to the centre of hoi an old town. the service was excellent. the laundry was quick and surprising cheap. we will definitely stay in this hotel again if we visit hoi an again.

Having previously stayed at more expensive hotels in Hoi An , booking this one was a slight gamble as it is considerably cheaper than others including the Hoi An beach resort next door. We have been coming here for 12 years to Hoi An this hotel is a new one for us but sensational. This is a new hotel in Hoi An. Close to town (5 mins walk) and they provide free bicycle to use (although I took the motorcycle across the hotel). We really enjoyed our four night stay at Ally Beach Boutique Hotel. The staff are extremely helpful, thoughful, some funny and most of them speak good English. Incredible hotel in a beautiful city. We paid $37 a night for a definite 4/5 star experience. We stayed in a junior suit and the room and bathroom was huge. I have had busy days with tough business in Danang city during last week. So, I have given myself a present of a free day in the peaceful town of Hoi An. Maybe one of the best hotel in Hoi An. Hotel is walking distance to Ancient town. It has only 3 floors, not too crowded, the room was clean. The bathroom might need a little work on the bathtub but if you don’t plan to use it then it shouldn’t be a problem. We traveled w 2 kids so the fact that this hotel has a clean big swimming pool, we give this hotel 10 points....

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this lovely hotel for what we paid. Being a little out of town is the only drawback but it’s a 15-minute walk to town and the hotel offers free bicycles. It was great to stay at a resort after being in Saigon and in the Mekong at a homestay. The resort is lovely and in a great location. It is not in or near the old town, but there is a shuttle bus about four times a day. If you don't get the shuttle, the taxi fare should be about 100 000VND. From check-in, the staff were absolutely amazing. At no other resort in Vietna...

Throughout our stay, we felt we were taken care of...

We found this hotel to be a great place to stay in hoi an . It is a reasonable distance into the city centre but after the hustle and bustle of the tourist centre the calm and tranquility of the resort style river frontage was a welcome relief . There are free shuttle buses to and from the centre so no great hardship in being a bit out of town. Staff were exceptional ...

This place is absolutely stunning. It was a nice & quiet change after visiting Hanoi for a few days and before heading on down to Ho Chi Minh. I was traveling with family and we had an amazing time. The hotel was nice but considering the price compared to other equivalent hotels in Hoi An, I would probably look at staying somewhere else next time. Beautiful old city, with great restaurant and pubs. You have to pay for entrance to the old town section of the city, it's around 120 000 VND.
Very interesting, historic town with seemingly endless places to eat. The Hoi An specialties are great and are different and tasty in every place we tried.
La ciudad antigua es maravillosa, pasear sin rumbo y dejarse atrarer por sus tiendas, puestos de comida, museos etc.
What a great city, totally third world compared to back in the states, you'll never forget how different the culture there is compared to United States, i'm from Seattle Washington if anyone reading is curious.
My husband and I only stayed for one night, which was much too short. Hoi An had more to offer than I had expected.
The area near the river is interesting with French influence but it is a little bit run down, while at night the area becomes quite vibrant and interesting.
Aside from the beauty of Ancient Town, one of the best things we did while visiting was to rent a scooter to explore the areas off the beaten path.
There is a down side to the ancient city....flooded with tourists, in particular groups that clog the narrow streets and ally.
We enjoyed the sights and the food (good morning vietnam for italian) not fond of bartering so shopping was limited
Hoi An was great and charming. The foods there were authentic vietnamese, unlike Danang which only served seafood.
A charming little city, with a vibrant market, good food, some lovely shops, and excellent tailors, I recommend going to the river at sunset and going out on one of the long wooden boats - you will see plenty of women offering you a ride for a couple of dollars.
I find peaceful to walk around the ancient town here. Then I may sit at a café on the bank of Thu Bon river to have sightseeing and enjoy my coffee.
One of the best places to sightsee and shop in Vietnam. Very original and well preserved. Everybody is very kind.
Hoi An is such a beautiful place to visit with a very nice beach and lots of options for dining and drinking in the evening , unfortunately it is spoiled by the large amounts of back packers who want their usual something for nothing .
Quaint old town, well worth seeing, especially the very old buildings. Some of the locals are very interesting to talk to, if you engage them in conversation.
for beaches and other sight seeing places one should stay at danang and 2 nights in hoi an aresufficient
I loved Hoi An, I live in Da Nang and it was my first trip outside the city. I love that it's a quick getaway and that I have many options on how I want to spend my time when I get to Hoi An, whether it's walking around, eating in new restaurants or cafes, going to the countryside or the night market!
A great town to visit. This was the first time we stayed at the beach and we loved it and would always do that in future.
Loved Hoi An. We stayed for 6 nights and did not want to leave. We will return again for sure. Not a huge amount to do but more than enough and great place to relax as well.
spend two days, try the street food by the riverside, everything;s good the chicken rice is the best i had, the bbq rolled in rice paper with veggies and herbs at Ba Le well, the Cau Lau, meat in skewers, soft tofu desserts, the vegetarian places by the fields in Tra Que.
Rent motorbike is best way to explore this city, very cheap and convinient, I did rent in Danang city than come to Hoi An by muself, can avoid many trouble for transportation between.
The ancient city is a must see, try to go visit at different times of the day and night as there is a very different.
Hoi An is good for those who want to experience history of Vietnam and enjoy evening walk or boat along the river.
The people here are so genuinely kind and friendly. They will invite you right into their homes if you need a bathroom or talk to you in their shops even if you don't want to buy anything.
Most people focus on the old town, but there is far more to Hoi An than just the ancient houses (which are beautiful) and the shops and tailors.
Hoi has so much on offer great selection of dining plus numerous cookery classes on offer Shopping is incredible with great array off goods not just your usual tourist junk Plenty of options when weather turns bad as it did for us, so that it doesn't hinder your stay
Great place to people watch very popular with tourists from Korea and China, also locals still buy and sell from the market in the old town that made it more interesting to me The river running through it is very much the lifeblood of the city.
Hoi An Acidnt Town is just brilliant. During the day you can see the history from its journey as an Acidnt trading port with Japanese features as well as the French influence.
It's great to stay here as well as danang. Enjoy the lanterns each night, and such. A great idea to block off the traffic to allow people to enjoy exploring the city by night.
Beautiful historical city, however, very busy and hectic. If you don't mind crowds you will love it.
