"(+) - Great location. It is near the metro station, bus stop, convenience store (CVS), and bank. - The room is clean and the air conditioner is cool. - The beds are ok. We had a good night sleep. - There is drinking water in the kitchen. We can cook our food there or make tea. - The area is ok. It’s pretty quiet at night so my little one can sleep well. (-) The receptionist was very late. We arrived at 3pm for check-in and the receptionist was not there. We were very tired and wanted to rest but have to waiting until around 6pm. Luckily the room was ready and clean when we checked-in."

"I've taken to stopping over in New York on a Saturday night to take in a Broadway, when traveling from Europe to the US on business. Staying at the West Side YMCA Hostel has twice now been a good experience. The Hostel is on Broadway, and a 20 minute walk, or one or two NY Metro stops, to most Broadway or Off-Broadway theaters. "

"overall everything was great about the pod, the staff was great, except that the concierge wasn’t able to give me directions to Newark airport and only knew how to book a car there, which I found was odd for a hotel right next to port authority. The cleanliness was good, and the room had just the right amount of basics, and lighting was good too. WIFI was extremely bad - my data plan was used up because of that. Also, the pillows were worn and lumpy which was kinda disgusting. they should get new ones. It was also a bit noisy at night but can’t expect it to be super quiet when you are right at Times Square. Overall I thought it was a good stay. "

"This hotel was a joy to stay in, it has large rooms, mine had two queen beds with lots of room left. A large well equipped bathroom again with plenty of room for all your toiletries and a huge shower space. The hotel is In a very good location, a few minutes walk from Times Square and a a block from Macy's. The is an excellent staff culture and everyone was so friendly and helpful, Got some good tips from the concierge On where to dine. It was also a short walk to the airport bus terminal which saves $40 on a taxi fare. I would definitely stay here again when next in New York. "

"Room was small but adequate and clean. Although carpet had a little damp smell. Bathroom was great - besides the shower curtain. Not much natural light comes in to the room (no sunlight) as my room was facing inwards into a courtyard. The rooftop bar is great, as is the hotel's restaurant and bar downstairs. I was staying on my own, but the glass doors - although frosted might be an issue if staying with others for privacy. I would stay here again. "

"Was quite happy with the choice of the hotel. The rooms were quite spacious for NY hotel. The staff was excellent at reception and breakfast. The location is 2 mins from the times square and its on the main road. You can even walk down to central park. So i would say its great choice, if you get right price. Only minor downside - the rooms are a bit old style. In NY thats true for many other hotels..."
