"Overall the room cost per night was definitely worth staying for 2 nights but however, the kitchen downstairs give me bad vibes as no one in the hotel cleans up the mess and therefore the housekeepers should also take more responsibility for cleaning the kitchen area. Despite being the only guest in the hotel room for 2 nights in a row, I would've much preferred to stay in a different hotel room with just 1 single bed for myself. "

"It’s not the newest hotels in Perth , but what you get for your money is brilliant . + location ( lots of Asian restaurant within walking distance ) + 10 minute walk to cbd + on-site Parking ( extra fee ) or parking on the street ( free on weekends or between 18.00 - 08.00 ) + Bar / Restaurant with happy hour every day ( 17.30 - 18.00 ) Most the times I booked this hotels I paid around 80 -100 $ per night . Compared to other hotels I stayed in the cbd + the parking stress this is why I review the great southern hotel like this . It’s a good budged Hotel , if you want a bit more luxurious this is not the one . "

"near to town, walking distance to train station (easy to get the train back to Perth city). big kitchen and happening cooking dinner together with other. We book room of 6 but upon check-in, we change our mind to the private room since the room is quite packed with other's stuff. I believe that the additional rack/ cupboard or other storage will help a lot in improving space usage in the room. From my observation, backpacker's hostel around Perth is more crowded than Asian cities like Bangkok or Bali. Maybe they tend to stay longer than other places."

"Only a couple of bad points. One being the shower head was too low. I didn't fit under it and I'm not a tall person. The bed was too hard and only had a think blanket on the bed which made it cold in winter. The person that had the room next to us was yelling and arguing with someone till 3am. This is not necessarily the hotels fault but when there are plenty of rooms available then there should be more separation. It was a clean hotel. And for the price I paid I couldn't really complain.
