Where to stay in Pokhara
Pokhara hotels & accommodations

This is a must-stay-for-one-night-at-least hotel in Pokhara. It would take you a bit of hiking up to the top of the hill but you'll know it is worth it when you reach there. Unbelievable view of the Himalayas! The best view comes at sunrise and sunset, there's no where else to get the amazing view other than Raniban. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I do need t...

We stayed in Temple Tree Resort for 3 nights. We planned 1 night after our trek but that changed due to weather and we decided to go back earlier to Pokhara and we booked another 2 nights here which was the best decision ever. Our stay was just perfect. After getting engaged in the mountains we wanted to treat ourselves a bit. The food in the hotel was so good and they...

We kept coming back to the Dahlia throughout our stay in Pokhara, finding it by far the best hotel in terms of value for money. (Not much different from hotels almost twice the price!) The staff were consistently so friendly and helpful, the rooms were well presented and the breakfast was fantastic! A wonderful buffet selection of nepalese and continental food. Very in...

Spent 2 delightful nights at Hotel Barahi. It's definitely one of the nicest hotels around Pokhara Phewa Lake. I am most impressed by the amazing mountain views of our rooms - you can see the Fish Tail / Machapuchre Mountain just from your balcony. Also, they have a really nice swimming pool - definitely a great way to relax after a day of hiking / trekking. The travel...

Very nice Hotel in Pokhara. We ended up in the Honeymoon Suite, which is very spacious, clean and well decorated. Check in was nice thanks to welcoming staff. Nice terrace on top floors. In the room: clean and hot water. Bed was very comfy. Bathtub was supposed to offer jacuzzi and hydraulic mechanisms (big asset for the room), but it was not working and the hotel d...

The hotel is near Phewa lake and the shopping area. The shopping area is across Phewa lake. My room is on the fifth floor (the first floor is not the ground floor). I have two balconies. My room faces the lake and the mountains. The hotel is nice and clean. I really like the hotel. However, the staff made my stay there outstanding. One staff in particular, Ms Ameera S...

Pros: very clean, very nice and helpful staff, walking distance from shops and restaurants, nice view of mountains Cons: limited hotel parking, a/c wasn’t cold (probably just needed servicing), bathroom floor stays wet because tile is sloped the wrong way I’ve stayed in more expensive hotels in Pokhara, and I am willing to put up with these minor things to save $50-7...

The setting is beautiful - waking up to that view in the morning is amazing- everyone is so helpful - from the second we were collected it was perfect - the rooms are lovely and so well mad with the biggest beds!. The dinner was delicious the variety was great - I have to say the mushrooms we had were insane I would love to know how to make those! we went to trek up ...

My father and I got many complimentary the other hotel in Nepal could not give us. Free airport shuttle, snacks during the day, and even free espresso because we checked out too early. If we ever have a chance to return to Pokhara, Pokhara Grande will absolutely be our place to stay.

Well I stayed here for 2 nights during a stay in pokhara. I wasn't let down really. The rooms are large, clean, with a refrigerator and balcony. The bathroom was a little worn and the hot water was only warm. The breakfast and food was of good quality and changed on different days. You can have eggs any way you like, there is a buffet of pancakes, naan bread, lentil...

We stayed this hotel from 5th Nov~ 9th Nov 2016 and we spent really nice time. Although it is a little far from Pokhara city (takes 30 minutes from Pokhara airport by taxi) and wifi connection is not so fast, the view from the hotel and hotel staff are awesome! You can enjoy very beautiful mountains, lakes, and good atmosphere. Hotel staff(Mr. Sujan and Mr. Vino) ...

We stayed here four days. The hotel is located right on the lake with easy access to everything in Pokhara. We had a first floor room with stunning views from the balcony where we sat and watched sunset over the lake. On clear days, the Annapurna peaks can be seen behind the hills. The hotel organized a tour, taxi and flights for us very efficiently. The front desk...

There are two tuki resort one is a new building having deluxe room and above and other is old building having standard room. The two buildings are facing opposite to each would request any one who is booking a room their to thoroughly check the rooms and in which hotel buildings are they going to reside.

The suite room was spacious and a good home away from home. Service was excellent and management was flexible in changing our booking when we arrived 3 days early. We have stayed in this property 4 times in total and would go back if we went to Pokhara again. Room needs a little refurbishment tho. Nothing major.

We stayed at the Tara hotel for 11 days. We were very happy we chose this hotel and will return again later this year. The entire hotel is clean and comfortable. This would easily be one of the nicest hotels in Pokhara. The showers were so good, very hot and fantastic after a long day out. Easily the best showers we had during our stay anywhere else in Nepal. Th...

This is the second time I have stayed here (first time December 2015). For about $19/night (a bit less if you just show up and can bargain well), the City Inn is fine value. Water pressure (in early November when I stayed for three nights) is excellent; hot water = excellent. They have a generator so during critical hours (6am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm), you will have elec...

I want to say thank you again to the staff of Da Kuti. 1. When I arrived Pokhara it was dark in the night, I cannot find the hotel. I called them and they send a car to pick me up. 2. I threw an old bag but I did not notice my credit card is still in that back. But the staff doule checked the bag and find it. They gave it back to me. They are more thoughtful even than ...

We were traveling with a group of five friends in Nepal and Pokhara served us as a base for our trekking and rafting trips. The Hotel the Coast was an ideal place to stay and we booked this hotel three times. A very good decision. The hotel is very hospitable. It is clean and we got a lot of attention. I felt very free as a guest. The owner Tek and his young and very h...

Very close to all the nice restaurants on Lakeside, this hotel is an ideal pad to explore Pokhara. The staff is helpful and friendly, the breakfast is tasty and the rooms are big and clean. My tip - please take the club room; it is big and has an awesome bathroom. Try and take the lakefacing one because construction of other buildings on the mountain facing side makes ...

I've visited in nepal the coldest season, december... Before the this hotel, i stayed some hotels that were more expensive than this hotel. But, room was very dirty, some lights already broken down, staffs weren't kindness. But, this hotel is absolutely ditterent!! At first, staff whose name is buspe is very kind. Always kind and smile. He always ask to me what happeni...

It was like in a dream, couldn’t believe that it came true in undeveloped Nepal full of bad hotels and services. Breath-catching views from multiple big windows, huge and nicely decorated rooms, some interior design details were also hypnotizing, beautiful garden to walk and look around from the hill top, very helpful and competent staffs. I will definitely come back, ...

The staff is kind as they helped a lot on my itinerary which helping avoiding redundant time, especially during the last day where there was a "Banda" which means Local people having a strike due to political issue. It is greatly influenced on tourism as shops are closed and transport are all prohibited from operating. Thanks to the staff I got catch the plane on time....

First of all very good staffs very polite and helpful. Good property 10 on 10 for cleanliness. Property located in a high up Pokhara and if the weather is Clare view is absolutely amazing unfortunately when we were there it wasn’t in our favour. The WiFi is very poor you only get the connection in lobby area. And on the website says free transfer for airport so I emai...

We stayed in 2 other hotels which were nice (pokhara choice & the coast) but this was even better! Everything is clean and the staff are great. They have pour over organic coffee which is awesome and the breakfast was really good - lots of fresh fruits etc Showers had warm water all the time (seems rare for Nepal) and the room was a good size. The location is ideal,...

We’ve spent a wonderful time here. The staff here is really friendly and helpful, and I’m really impressed with their sincere smile and service. One of the most Clean and cozy hotel in my 2 month of journey. And it was my 2nd hotel in pokhara. (Cherry garden hotel was my first. But i think here is more more better. 10min by walk from main road. But if you rent motorcycle or bicycle it is not a problem! I recommend this hotel to you. It was really good.

This place is amazing! The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming and made sure my stay in Pokhara was a success. He helped me plan my Annapurna hike and transport to Besi Shahar. They even did my laundry after I came back from my hike for a great price. Considering how dirty it was this was much appreciated! Everything came back clean and neatly folded. They happil...

The bed is comfortable. Toilet is very clean and they provide hot shower, which is all you need the most after few days of trekking under very cold weather. The place is quite remote from the main street but the lake view make it worth. Never fail to locate nice and cheap/average price restaurant around this hotel area. The quilts were found stains. Staff took immedia...

our room (no.5) was very nice and clean also very close to lake. good value for money really. room is really insect proof however this all goes in vain because there is a huge gap between door and floor that is enough for a fat rat to pass through. mosquitoes are frequent visitors and also roaches from outside of there is any left over food. overall its a really pleasa...

I really love the location of this hotel. It is not on the main road of Pokhara , Fewa Lake.... it's about 5 minutes walk to the main road where all the cafe's and shops are located at . This makes the hotel a really peaceful place and not noisy at all. Perfect if you are trying to chill in Pokhara! It is also near the organic cafe which serves really good food , near ...

I stayed at lakeside backpackers before trekking Annapurna Circuit and again on completing the trek. I was able to leave my backpack securely at the hostel and it was well looked after. The hostel is under new management and they keep making improvements and have a great team who will help you with anything you need. The staff were so friendly and are what makes this p...

A bit about the place, it’s a very big property, one of the most beautiful hostel. There is plenty of space to accommodate all moods and people. If you are a backpacker visiting Pokhara, please visit here, from one backpacker to another, this is the place. The location is perfect, you’re not far away from the city centre, yet in the right place to have unobstructed vi...

Great, beautiful and big mountain view can be seen from the rooftop and our room. At night, we could see so many stars on the rooftop. So we decided to stay one more night at New Pokhara Lodge. We had a perfect time in Pokhara because manager introduced nice guide for us. Owner and manager told us about nice mountain view point and sightseeing area. When we went out...

We stayed here twice for two nights. The Guest House lies on a quiet spot in Pokhara near the shops. The owner (Ram) took very good care of us. He arranged a very good guide for tracking, borrowed us some walking sticks and took care of our laundry. Furthermore the ambiance in the Guest House was very good, there were nice people to hang out with and we had a great par...

The place is quite new with clean rooms complete with hot shower and tv at very affordable price. They offer freshly cooked food from their resto and also drinks at the bar. Nice staff and they offered to tour me around Pokhara at a friendly rate. I even got a free dinner with one of the owners while showing me his beautiful place in the nearby village. Amazing experi...

This guest house is in a nice area of Pokhara and is close to the lakeside, which is the main travelers area filled with gift shops, restaurants and nightclubs. The room was clean and comfortable, with small toilet and hot shower. The owner found us the best price for a day trip to Bandipur. This guest house is worth considering for budget travelers.

We enjoyed our stay in KC hotel very much! The boss was very friendly and hospitable! We went back to the hotel after the check out timing and we thought we had to pay extra like how it works in other hotels. To our surprise, the boss was very understanding and even gave us time to prepare for the check out without any extra cost! He even chatted with us! The chef actu...

We are two young girls arrived the hotel late at ~9pm without notice, as the flight delayed. The manager was still there, thank you for that. As we started the trekking in the next morning at 7am, he even helped us about what things we actually needed to carry up hills, where to buy needed stuffs. He offered us to leave some stuffs at the hotel as he thought we carried...

here is quite near lake side just walk around 10-15 minute but if you come here in late night this area quite dark and silence no street light...on the first night that i went to here i just follow from google map but the map is wrong....it's so scarry when u walk in the dark and never know where u should to go. i call to the hotel and try to explain to the owner now...

We were originally only going to stay 2 nights here, but due the the extremely friendly owner and his cute fluffy puppy, we had to stay another 2 nights. It was clean, the breakfast was great and on request they also provide a great Nepalese dinner. There was hot water for the shower and WiFi in the rooms. The only negative was that the bed was a little hard, but a...

Pros: There are so many pros. The location is excellent, it's right on Lakeside. This is an entire strip of street that is filled with restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, pharmacies, bars, etc. This place is also about 5 streets away from Centre Point, right across from Pokhara Disneyland. You can walk through Pokhara Disneyland to get to the beautiful Fewa Lake. Puspa...

My fiance and I spent one night at Harvest Moon after we wrapped up a five-day trek. That night coincided with the Pokhara Street Festival, which evidently turns the town on its head. Prices for a room were marked up just about everywhere, Harvest Moon included. Our room was 30 US dollars, but that seemed to be a fair rate all things considered. The hotel is off the la...

We stayed for 6 nights at this hotel & would highly recomend it to anyone looking for a well priced & super clean place to stay in Pokhara. The beds were particularly comfortable & the water always hot. We stayed in room 503,lake view, but the balcony outside the room (ideal for smokers) had a fantastic view of the mountains, weather permitting. A few metres down the ...

I have said it before and I will say again. This place is the best hotel in Pokhara. The beds are uber comfy, the bathrooms are nice and the staff is beyond amazing! oh and the food is great and the rooftop views are incredible. Come , stay you will not be disappointed! I personally can not wait to return!

This spanking new hotel has a free range baby owl that just hangs out on the porch! If you're lucky you might catch this beautiful creature. Hotel Queen's Park was the first place we stayed at after our 5-day trek in Annapurna, and we were SO satisfied with the room's level of comfort that we extended one more night. Lift was in operation when we were staying here, but...

it was our first visit to nepal and we were looking for other city to visit apart from the capital city, kathmandu. we found pokhara as the second most visited city in nepal. we then made a research on accommodations in pokhara and found begnas lake resort & villa. despite it's location of 12km away from pokhara city centre and airport, choosing this resort was the bes...

We stayed at Atithi Resort and Spa while in Pokhara for 5 nights. We booked a luxury suite with king size bed, separate living room, balcony and jacuzzi, but on arrival were put in a deluxe room with twin beds. They upgraded me to the lakeview room upon my request even the low room rate I paid, but there aint any other guests else. The balcony was full of bird poos, looked like noone ever clean it.Reception did...

The hotel decor, staff and facilities are ok but the rooms need to be improved. We have stayed here two times now both times the wifi in our room didn’t work at all, second time we asked to change. Real reviews for hotels
the city is close to himalaya and have good view in morning to see golden view in early morning and then silver colour view in late morning.
Nepal has issues, political. The other main issue is pollution, extremely bad, main reason emissions.
First of all Is a good place to relax ; a place to enjoy nature at its best : forests , lakes mountains , people of all ages trying to enjoy life in different ways they can .
This is probably a must go city in Nepal. It provides many things for tourist. It is less noisy than Kathmandu, and very enjoyable place to stay.
Pokhra is a decent place. The mountain view is the best part of the city. However the food and transportation cost is very high.
I would recommend Pokhara cause I love to stay there more days. the people there are nice, there's a club named 'Club Amsterdam' is a bit cool restaurant & bar.
It's a beautiful city surrounded by the himalays.it's a must go place in nepal.there are alot of activities like sky paraglyding, trekking, hiking etc.
Pokhara is so different from Kathmandu, it is so quiet in comparison and a nice place for a short get away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, a must see place.
The mountains are fabulous, the lake is pretty but ordinary. In the end, the noise, dust and garbage chased me away.
Town is dusty, the local council need to do improvement. Electricity national problem. However, many fantastic place to see, example sunrise, anapurna range, caves, rivers.
Take Greenline bus though its a bit costly to reach Pokhara from Kathmandu (7 hours beautiful road trip) and if time permits spend a day or two at Chitwan which is mid-way between Pokhara and Kathmandu.
Absolutely amazing. I wanted a trip where I could hike alone for a while and enjoy nature and it's exactly what I got.
Pokhara is a very nice and clean city with beautiful natures to see, highly recommend to stay away dusty Kathmandu and get some quiet and relax moment in Pokhara, recommend to do the paragliding and join a half day city tour too.
Its Nepals "chillout" city as well as being the stepping off point to Annapurna treks as well as others.
I vote Pokhara to be one of the most friendliest cities in the world. Everybody here is so helpful and happy.
Pokhara is a tourist town. The local residents were friendly and helpul and i ejoyed trekking in the surrounding mountains.
The main activities here are: Sight-seeing, boating, paragliding, hiking. We did not do hiking, as we only stayed for 2 days.
First of all, what you have heard about Nepal about political issues and other things, is not your problem.
Quite touristy in the town itself, with lots of shops and restaurants. Take a few steps away from the shopping street though and you're right by the lake - lovely!
a nice place to relax after trekking and a lot quieter than kathmandu. beautiful lake and good shopping and of course the fantastic nepali people
There is a lot of things you can do around Pokhara. Paragliding, boat rowing, trekking and shopping. A lot of good food in Pokhara, Lakeside.
Really nice place for sunrise watching, shopping, sports and the most important thing is Pokhara has the bes restaurant in there.
pohkara is better than kathmandu if u prefer relax and nature. must try the paragliding. hiking is nice, but i will try next time !
It was worth to visit world peace pagoda for sight-seeing, sarangkot for viewing of himalaya mountain during sunset or sunrise, and Tibet Village for history.
Don't miss to visit the sunset and sunrise at Sarangkot. There are more activities such as Paragliding, mountain flight.
very nice city, cleaner and more relaxed than Kathmandu, lots to see in the area, including the Himalayan Golf course which is spectacular, even if your not a good player i recommend a round here.
Our objective was to relax. So we took things slow. We only had half day on our first day so we just walked around and shopped.
one of best place for shopping and find tracking attribute, many places to visit such as white pagoda, tracking to one of himalayan peak, good food, fine tea and fair price for so many kind of pashmina
Pokhara has CLEAN AIR which after coming from Kathmandu is a God-send. Lots of things to see and do in the locality, from adventure sports to just chilling around the lake, enjoying the restaurants and maybe reading a book, or chatting to the very friendly local people.
It is a great city with a great view of the lake and near by mountains. Para Gliding/river rafting/boating and trekking are your day time activities.
