Clarke Quay hotels & places to stay

If you are visiting Singapore & you are looking a cheap hotel that is nice & clean. I would really recommend Robertson Quay hotel to anybody who is going to visit Singapore. Although the room is a little bit smaller but cleanliness is 'five starred' & the location is pretty strategic. Behind this hotel you can see a river and there's this pedestrian walkway which leads to Clarke Quay, The famous spot for party goers (5-10 mins walk) & from Clarke Quay you can easily get an access to the public transportation like Buses & MRT.

We had 5 nts in Singapore and spent Christmas at park hotel. Got a good deal on Agoda and we really enjoyed our stay and would return again. Very new and good access to restaurants and taxis but quite far to walk to mrt. Especially in hot humid weather. I think if there are two of you, you are better off taking taxis as they are relatively cheap plus the drivers are honest and we have never had problems with being taken for a long scenic ride and they always give you the correct change. Very refreshing. Some taxis have slightly higher flagfall if they are bigger or newer but it is only 20 to 60c extra so don't worry too much. Just don't get the Mercedes Benz taxis as I think they cost a lot more. Save your money for the campagne brunch at the ritz Carlton instead! Quite popular so better make a booking. Also much better value than raffles high tea unless you prefer Darjeeling to bubbly. For seafood nearby try Jumbo seafood in Clarke quay. I think they are next to the micro brewery. You should order the chilli crabs and wash it down with tiger beer. Quite tasty. For lunch you cannot go past the $15 lunch specials at restaurants in Clarke quay. It includes service fees and gst. Cheaper than macdonalds in London! And if you want to spend even less then go to the hawker centres such as Maxwell food food court or Lau pa sat near shenton way. There are also coffee shops called kopitiams within walking distance. Read more in my review. Not noisy at all and best of all it has a big pool with nice lounge beds. Rooms are rather small but very clean and feature luxurious fittings such as bath robes and Sony flat screen LCD tv with lots of channels. I also liked the rain shower head as it had good water pressure and a separate hand held shower. We also received a Christmas gift but it was only a biscuit inside a pretty red bag! Oh well at least it was a sweet gesture. The hotel also arranged for carol singers at the lobby who actually sang pretty well.

Jayleen 1918 is tucked away in a quite lane, a stone's throw from Clark Quay MRT and the main buzzing area of Clark Quay. The location is fantastic and the highlight of this hotel is the view that you get from it's terrace. You need to see it for yourself to believe it!. The staff are very friendly and you get the feeling of being at a home away from home. The rooms are spotlessly clean, cosy and very comfortable. Overall, a great value for money option considering the location.

It was the best value for a nice Hotel in Clarke quay. My Son loved the swimming pool and The room is smartly designed and it feels and look spacious for what you expect in Singapore. Excellent location to enjoy the Clarke Quay and Singapore.The river and its attraction are across the road from the Hotel. MRT and Bus are walking distance from the hotel and takes you to almost every part of Singapore. We had a great and relaxing time.

On my table in the room, there is a form for me to do a daily feedback about the customers' need(s) within the room. I pointed out a few problems and I sent in the form at the reception counter when I went out for meetings in the early morning. When I came back in the evening, I found the instant changes and rectification. Later, there was a friendly personnel called me to ask for my level of satisfaction. Even though Miramar Hotel, Clarke Quay is a 4 stars hotel, however, I receive a 5-star treatments. The food in the restaurants are very good and value for money especially the Japanese Buffet at IKOI Japanese Restaurant. The sashimi platter and the seafood soups are fresh, delicious and good with the friendly, patient and helpful kitchen workers/ chefs and waitresses/ waiters. I will definitely come back again.

Fragrance Hotel-Riverside is in a very strategic location, right across the Clarke Quay MRT station. Literally 4-5 minutes walk tops from Hotel Lobby to the MRT station. Plenty entertainment close by in Clarke Quay and Boat Quay which is also a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. Best part of our stay was the service! We were in for 1 night. Our flight the next day was at 9pm.. Although hotel policy stated latest checkout was at 1pm, the staff allowed us to come back to the hotel before leaving to the airport for a swim in the hotel pool area and shower. This is exceptionally helpful, especially when walking around the whole day in the hot & humid Singapore weather! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will highly consider staying here again during 1-3 days trip to Singapore! Thank you to all the staff! Very highly recommended!

Very good hotel. New and modern design. Located in the central part of Singapore, 5 minutes walking to Riverfront and Clark Quay and from 5 to 10 minutes to Clark Quay or Chinatown MRT station, so location is great !!! Check point staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is also good, but we would like to add vegetables, such as: tomatoes, cucumbers, olives. Bakery products are delicious. Swimming pool and park on the roof are very nice, especially good after hole day tour in Singapore to jump in swimming pool. Very good hotel, just one thing: very noisy bathroom and toilet. So we will recommended this hotel to our friends with pleasure!!! Many thanks to hotel staff !!!

I recently stayed here with my parents and a toddler for our first trip to Singapore. The main reason I chose this place was the location and the comfortable size for entire family. I am so used to hotels in US where most places offer 2 double beds in a single room. When I was doing search, I quickly realize that is not the case in Singapore and usually the room sizes are much smaller. Since I didn't want to split the family into two separate rooms, I had very limited choices, and this was the best choice for the location and cost. I am very happy which my choice, since this place was more than I expected. It is located in UE square (shopping plaza, if you are going to take a taxi, you can just say this instead of hotel name). UE square has grocery store and convenient store other than few restaurants. Also, this place is located in between Clarke quay and Robertson quay, two trendy places along water with tons of dinning options. Also, it has 3 bus lines right in front, and Clarke quay metro is only about a 1 km (13min walk). UE square also offers a free shuttle to Dhoby Ghaut in the morning and in the evening. When I book this place, I didn't know but this place actually has complimentary breakfast. It is nothing fancy, but decent enough. They offer some pastries, fruits, cereal, porridge, and steamed buns or sticky rice with coffee and juice. Pool is clean and standard size. During afternoon it was under shade (since it is surrounded by high buildings), so it was very pleasant to swim. The staffs are fantastic here. They are very attentive, pleasant, and helpful. They offer cleaning every other day, and unfortunately my toddler wet the bed the first day. I requested to change bedding and they came right away and did cleaning with no extra charge. Another bonus is that they offer free cell phone. You can use it to call few countries for free (includes Singapore, US, India, Japan, etc) and use google map or internet. The location is right in the Clarke quay area without being next to the night clubs. Plenty of food and drink to be had within easy walking distance. Safe walkways from the hotel to Clarke quay and lovely to stroll along the river in the evening. The hotel is a longer walk to orchard road and the city (about 20 mins) but easy to find and get to and from visa taxi (<$10)

Hotel is located near Robertson Quay, great access to various restaurants & pubs. 10 min walking distance to Clark Quay. Hotel room is clean, spacious & interior designing is industrial chic, definitely aesthetically pleasing to most. Room is generally clean and spacious. Would like to highlight that the gym & swimming pool are great for exercise fanatics! Pool has a great infinity pool over part of Singapore River too. Overall, a fantastic stay that makes me want to return again.

I was disappointed at first, I arrived on a very early morning flight in Singapore, and had let the hotel know well in advance when I booked that I would be arriving early so would wish to check in early. I had previously visited a few places in Australia prior to my stay and none of these hotels had a problem letting me check in early. I arrived at the Grand Copthorne around 6am, greeted by a very rude and unfriendly receptionist, only to be told if I wished to check in early I would have to pay an extra $150. I declined early check in, but was offered no advice at what I could do at 6am in Singapore or asked if I would like to rest or freshen up. I wasn't very impressed that I had to ask if I was able to freshen up somewhere. I was taken up to an area where I was able to get a shower and sit down, which was very nice but I also wanted somewhere properly to rest like a couch or a sleep pod. While I was waiting in this area I spoke to some other guests and was disappointed to find out they were being allowed to check in at 11am instead of 2pm like me, they had not paid $150 or had one of the very expensive rooms yet they were being offered an early check in. I was pleased with the service offered by the bellboys they were very helpful, the hotel was also served well by taxis, the longest I ever had to wait for a taxi was about 15minutes. I had to get taxis everywhere as the metro was just too far away. The hotel advertises that it is in Clarke Quay but it is at least a 20-25minute walk from Clarke Quay. When I was finally able to check into my room I was very impressed, it was a beautiful big room, very clean, and had fantastic views of Marina Bay. I thought the minibar items were very over priced so didn't use the minibar but enjoyed the complimentary water bottles offered - great idea! I loved having the use of the mobile phone, I used it just like a normal mobile phone and was also able to call home for free - fantastic! I also enjoyed the pool, much bigger than

This is so far the best hotel that satisfy me with few trips to Singapore before even is only a night stay. With such pricing, I guess you will feel everything worth it the moment you step in the room. There is nothing bad at all that I can comment. Oh ya, the blanket are comfort. Staff wise, it just similar to the feeling on the room, satisfy as they all are too friendly. Location near to my favorite Clarke Quay. Even though cafe is small but with everything provided in perfect in term of services, room cleanliness, so cafe size doesn't matter at all. I had left a good memory at Clarke Quay & at the hotel's cafe. If thing goes well, I will be back in future to rewind the memory. This hotel is super recommended.

Its our first stay at this hotel and have selected it based on reviews. Joel at reception exemplifies a excellent 'front of operations' person displaying warm professionalism in making us feel welcomed right at the start. We were greeted in a relaxed but very efficient manner with our requests met without any fuss. The hotel is very well maintained and comfortable. Our room is spacious, clean, well-equipped has an expansive view of the Singapore River. House-keeping is timely and meticulous as well. The location is within walking distance of Clarke Quay and riverfront areas. Bus stops are right in front in both directions making it very easily to commute. 15 mins walk to Clarke Quay MRT & China Town. The coffee lounge terrace on the ground floor next the river is a nice place to chill out. We are very impressed and will definitely return next time we are in town.

The hotel has excellent location, less than 5 minutes walk to MRT Clarke Quay, very convenient to go around by MRT. Beside, it's near Clarke Quay shopping mall, China town. I had gone through a lot of review about hotel In Singapore before booking hotel Conforto and it's worth the money. The room is spacious enough for 2 of us and very clean and comfortable. Staffs are all friendly. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Singapore.

We really enjoyed our stay in a two-bedroom apartment. The location is excellent, within walking distance of restaurants, Clarke Quay, MRT, and Fort Canning Park. There is plenty to do in the vicinity and good nightlife nearby. For coffee snobs, the hotel is across the road from a shop with excellent coffee and pastries! Everything you could need in a home away from home is provided - washer/dryer, all the small appliances, plenty of bathroom cabinet space, wifi speakers, about a zillion tv channels, aircon in all the rooms. The room is not particularly modern but very comfortable. Thank you to the staff for going beyond expectations. I emailed ahead to see if we could leave our bags at the hotel after our 8AM arrival, they offered complimentary check in from 9AM which was very appreciated after an overnight flight. Also, my partner is a smoker, and the man at reception provided him with a container of water outside to use as an ashtray which was thoughtful!

My wife and kid (1 yr old) stayed at their double room. The space is just enough to accommodate us 3 with our luggage and stroller. You can't move much though, but it's the type of room that you need to comfortably sleep. Room is clean and the modern design is to be desired. Wifi is fast so it's a definite plus. Would've appreciate a breakfast inclusion though but there are lots of options outside as the hotel is situated in Clark Quay.

Excellent location (immediate access to Boat Quay, and within walking distance to Clark Quay, Merlion, malls, metro stop, Chinatown) with a nice seaside view out the lobby. The staff were friendly and amazing: they were incredibly nice and helpful, and very efficient. They actually offered me and my friend to switch from a shared queen bed to two single capsules at no charge, which made the experience much nicer as it avoided the awkwardness of syncing sleep patterns in close proximity with my non-romantically involved friend. Rooms were comfortable and new, with keycards for unlocking room and own locker, and AC. I stayed in the mixed dorm single capsule, and although I'm 6 ft 2 (188 cm), I fit the bed exactly. The mattress is a little hard but great for sleep, and universal wall plugs (2) were lifesavers. Pulling down curtain of capsule gives immediate privacy, and roommates are generally quiet and respectable. Bathrooms are a little cramped for showering as the stalls have a toilet, sink, and shower head altogether (and soap/shampoo), but I experienced no problems really. The lobby is very nice, and has cups and a water pitcher, nice seating/desks, and wall plugs. Note there is a lounge upstairs with desks, fridge, washer, and a computer. Since my capsule was a little cramped for laptop use/ journaling, the desks in the lounge worked well for my work! Tip: tickets to attractions (zoo, aquarium, gardens by the bay) are cheaper when bought at the lobby!

It was my luck when I was browsing through Agoda and found this new hotel in Singapore. It was the F1 that weekend and room rates went up by 300%! The rate for this hotel followed the increase due to the event, but was quite reasonable when compared to other 4 star hotels. This hotel opened up just 2 days before my stay, so everything was new as it could be. The room was spacious compared to many 4 stars in Singapore. The bed was very comfy, and I liked the bathroom. It had a shower door. The room contained many amenities which were unexpected. Well done! It has a safety box and a mini fridge. The best thing of all is that it provided slippers too! Staff were extremely friendly! A very well done to you all. The only disadvantage is the noise level created by the cars on the roads. I was on the 8th floor and I can hear cars at night so if you can't sleep with sound better plug in something in your ears! The hotel is situated in the residential area near Chinatown and Clarke Quay. Didn't try breakfast there so just walked outside to a local food court for cheap food. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and yes I will be back!

I am impressed with the hotel design. I check in early, around 1.00pm and the process took me less than 15mins. The room was spacious, the bed is king bed size and the complimentary mineral water and fruit on the table were ready for us. the bathroom was spacious with bath tub. The swimming pool was small but nice. its just next to the gym. The facilities are at standard. Its a definitely a 4 star hotel! As to the location wise, the other hotel nearby are robertson, riverview the only probelm is just that this hotel is quite far from the main attraction, riverside. It took us about 20 minutes walking to the nearest MRT, outram park before getting down to Clarke quay. But for me, I enjoyed the walking because it was shady and nice things to see along the way. The food centre also nearby, about 10minutes walking. other than, this hotel definitely good place to stay, worth of money and I would recommend it to my friends. I would love to stay again in this hotel!

This place is so comfortable to stay in despite it being a capsule. It has exceeded my expectations of what a capsule would be (being my first time staying in one). The bed was really comfy with thick comforter provided. The most important part, the toilet/shower room was clean! I hope the cleanliness of the shower room stays on like that. I'm bound to come back to Singapore and stay here. In terms of location, it is strategically located in between Clarke Quay and Boat Quay. Walking distance to eateries, 7-Eleven and the Quays. Place is pretty secure as you need to use a pin number to enter the premise, it is a daily generated pin! Best suited for solo travellers/couples who are looking for something stylish, yet comfortable and does not hurt your bank account. Be aware though, you need to keep your voices/noise level down to respect other customers. :)

My family and I were immensely impressed with The Quay Hotel. It's in a great location where it isn't crowded with tourists, quick access to the MRT, and has some really nice spots just to sit and be with your loved ones. With regards to the room, we were also expecting it to be tight for us (we've got 3 kids), but it turned out to be big enough to accommodate us with room. Air conditioning is fantastic, and you'll also find a water dispenser to refill your water bottles—saved us dollars from buying plastic water bottles during our trips. We'll definitely consider booking at The Quay Hotel on our next visit.

Great World City is your amazing home away from home. It is centrally located, relaxing, comfortable and spacious. We loved our stay as it was just the perfect home away from home allowing us to eat together as a family and cook our own meals and also big enough to order in and have friends over to enjoy a relaxing evening. I chose Jayleen because they had a good review rating, were cheap and located right where I wanted to be near Clarke Quay. I was glad of my choice. Buses run from the front door and the MRT station is straight across the road. The hotel service was excellent and personal (thanks Steven and Michelle). The facilities were more than adequate for the price of the room. The only issue I had was that there was no hot water was running at 6am on Sunday morning - I'm sure this was a glitch that was overcome since. I would definitely stay here again.

Fraser Suites River Valley was a great place to stay while in Singapore. It is located along River Valley Road, about 1 kilometre down stream from Robertson / Boat / Clark Quay. It is a little bit out of the way from the busy tourist area, but that good in a way. It is a little bit quieter. There is a Starbucks in the same complex, along with a Cold Storage for a quick shop and 4 or 5 small restaurants (Pizza, Japanese, General Asian etc). Great for quick eat if needed nearby. The facilities are great. The rooms are well appointed, with Bose Sound system, Satellite TV, Flat screen LCDs. Bathrooms are great as well - good hot water and lots of flow. I thoroughly recommend Fraser Suites.

I was hesitant at first to book such a small room, but it was one of the cheaper options in Clarke Quay for Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean, everything in the room was in tip top shape, and the location cannot be beat. The room was small, smallest I've ever booked, but there was still enough room for two to get ready for the day. For Singapore GP weekend it was the perfect room, since we spent all day out of the room anyway. Comfortable bed, towels, decent shower and bathroom area. A bit of a squeeze but very impressed.
