    “Worth It”

The location is great, close to train station as well. Central location allows access to Bugis, Sim Lim Square and Little India. You'll have access to Chinese, Malay and Indian food. Given the location, you'll have an abundance to Indian food. The hotel allows you free access to their microwave oven located at the lobby, and each room has a bar fridge that serves it's purpose. The toiletries are not adequate unless you're staying for a short period of time. They're tiny bottles of shampoo and shower gel which is to double as hand soap. It's best to bring your own. The kettles are really clean and ideal to bring and drink. The room with a window can be slightly noisy, as I heard drilling noises every now and then. It didn't disrupt my stay though or sleep. I could see Old Chang Kee from my room and that's not much of a view, but it helps if you're claustrophobic. I stayed in a room with and without window, and they were both clean and good. The single room did not have access to Netflix, but the queen room had a couple of accounts that were signed in. My only concern and complaint is how it's not clearly indicated on the map that the lobby is located at the 5th floor. As soon as you arrive, you'll be at an elevator and no idea on where you could go since most of the levels require you to have an access card. The lobby has a ipad that'll use to speak to someone who'll guide you on how to activate your room. There is no physical counter or receptionist. The staff who clean the room and vicinity are around and will be able to assist you. You could also scan and register online that'll save you more time. Since there is only one location to activate, if you come across a family or people who are not tech-savvy and decide to do the whole process through the iPad live person check-in, be prepared to wait. They'll have to show each passport and take an selfie, one by one. So this can be time consuming. The washing machines are also at the lobby, you'll need to pay to use them. There is a coin machine to change your notes. Overall, I was pleased during my 2 days stay. I'm Singaporean so I'm also more familiar with the area and this hotel does have high standards especially in terms of cleanliness. Everyone was friendly during my stay too.

“Convenient & Peaceful Stay Near Little India – A Self-Service Experience”

The location is great—just about a 3-minute walk from Little India MRT station, making it super convenient to get around. There’s a halal Chinese restaurant right downstairs, an Old Chang Kee across the building, a bus stop nearby, and even a 7-Eleven for late-night snacks. It’s in a residential area, so it’s peaceful both day and night, which I really appreciated. The only slight downside is that there’s a construction site nearby, so you might hear some machine noise, but it wasn’t too bothersome for me. The room was standard but comfortable—had a TV, working AC, and a functional shower and toilet. I specifically requested a room with a window and got it, which was a plus. One of the lamps wasn’t working, but since I mainly used the room for sleeping, it didn’t really affect my stay. The hotel also has a common area with seating, a coin-operated washing machine and dryer (SGD 5 per use), and an open space where you can sit, enjoy the view, or even cook. This hotel operates mostly on self-service, with a virtual receptionist handling check-in and check-out. It felt a bit unusual at first, but once I got the hang of it, the process was smooth and easy. I was initially worried about luggage storage since there’s no traditional concierge, but they do have a hidden space where you can store your bags after check-out, which was really helpful. Soap and shampoo are provided, but in very limited amounts and not refillable as far as I could tell. There’s no water dispenser, which would have been convenient, but they do provide a kettle, jug, and glass for drinking water. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for budget-conscious travelers who prefer convenience and a peaceful environment. The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable enough for a short stay, and the self-service system, once you get used to it, is pretty efficient. If you don’t mind minimal interaction with staff and can work with limited amenities, this place is definitely worth considering!

    “Zero Personalization”

As a loyal guest who has stayed at Dash on Mackenzie on a weekly basis for five months, totalling more than 50 nights, I can't help but express my disappointment at the consistently lackluster experience in terms of personalized customer service. Despite my weekly visits, it seems the staff remains oblivious to the concept of familiarity. Every week, the check-in process feels more like a monotonous ritual than a welcoming gesture except from Adale after I complained. Despite my regular presence, the front desk staff has yet to grasp the simple details of my stay, such as my name. It's disheartening that, after months of patronage, I am still subjected to the same mundane verification process and treated as if it were my first visit. The lack of effort in recognizing and acknowledging regular guests is evident in the disinterest displayed by the front desk staff and they obviously don't talk to each other. There is a noticeable absence of the warmth and familiarity one might expect after an extended period of time. It leaves me questioning the hotel's commitment to building lasting relationships with its guests. Throughout my numerous stays, the indifference from the hotel staff has become increasingly frustrating. The check-in experience, which should be an opportunity to make guests feel valued, has turned into a repetitive and impersonal routine. Despite being a regular face, I am consistently met with the same detached attitude, making me feel like just another transient visitor. Even though the accommodations themselves are clean and comfortable, the lack of personalization in my experience is disheartening. I had hoped that, over time, the hotel staff would recognize and appreciate my loyalty, but alas, the familiarity remains elusive. In conclusion, the only reason I stay here is because it's near my office but the persistent absence of personalized customer service for a guest who has stayed weekly for more than five months is a significant letdown and why I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to be treated like a stranger.

“For travelers who are looking for cheap and accessible accommodation”

PROS: - Near MRT Station (Little India Station), approximately 3 to 5 mins walk. - Near cheap restaurant. There is a good local restaurant just outside the building. - Near Little India, Bugis, and 7/11 store. - The washroom has a bidet. CONS: - Provision for bottled water is not available. If you want drinking water, you need to get it in your washroom sink. Water from Singapore is potable, however, getting water from the washroom sink is not hygienic for some. - Cleaning of your room (including changing of your linens) is only available during weekdays, and only once a week (if I remember it correctly). There is a cost if you avail additional room cleaning service. - No in-person receptionist. - There were times that we experienced an intermittent wifi connection. - All outlets were Type G (Common outlet type in Singapore). No adapters were provided. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here due to its accessibility and location. This is the cheapest accommodation that we found during our trip. High value for your money. Even though they don't have an in-person receptionist, they were very responsive and accommodating to your queries in their IG account. Please make sure when booking to not forget to bring an outlet adapter.
