Gwangan hotels & places to stay

Hotel Homers is located right at the front of Gwangan Beach, and thus has a great view of Gwangan Bridge if you get the beach view room. We are avid photographers and it was great having such a great shooting point in the comfort of our own room! The hotel itself is grand, and the room is spacious, well maintained and very classy. I loved this hotel, but there are two downsides. One - despite its grand appearance, this was one of the few hotels without its own wifi access. We had to go to the cafe next door in order to message our friends. The second con is the long walk from Gwangan Station to the beach and hotel. Taking a taxi would be much better with luggage. Overall, great hotel!

This hotel is AMAZING!!! I fell in love with the pictures at first, but once I arrived there I was in AWE. It’s brand new, (only been one month since opening) so everything is white, clean and beautiful. I initially chose the standard capsule cause it was so cheap, but my friend and I upgraded to the deluxe oceanfront capsule which was not that substantial of a price difference. It was amazing waking up to the beach view in the morning! The rooms are not that expensive either, especially the capsule rooms. When you check in, the friendly staff politely prompts you to take off your shoes before entering, it’s a no shoe zone indoors. They provide you with an electronic room key that gives you access to the elevator and your locker, which upon opening receive a nice care hotel package of pajamas, towels, tissues, a mini razor, and a small water bottle. It’s very modern which is nice. What really sold me was the karaoke system that’s in the lobby cafe area, it’s free to use as a hotel guest. The owner is super friendly and cool, he owns a very well known karaoke bar chain that is located in several areas in South Korea apparently. That’s why the karaoke sound system is such nice quality. I absolutely loved singing to songs overlooking the beach! I anticipate the karaoke being a popular thing amongst hotel guests in the busier summer months. The decor of this hotel is exceptional. Full window oceanfront views, squeaky clean white floors, gorgeous modern interior design is only a minor detail of this beautiful hotel. I loved being able to look at the beach waves while eating breakfast in the hotel cafe. The Room Rates are very reasonable for the quality, grace, and luxury of Gwanganli Hotel 1. It felt like paradise staying here. This hotel stay is a must if you ever visit Gwanganli beach in Busan!!!

This was my second visit for Gwangan Hound Hotel in about 8months. I had a great time with my friends last September. The ocean view is amazing, compared to other hotels in Gwangan with this view, value is the highest I think. So I booked again for my family from US, and they just couldn’t stop talking how clean this place and has great value with amazing view!!! I will definitely stay this hotel for my mext visit for sure. Oh and we stayed with 3 years old little lady too and she loved the place as well, and there’s no problems staying with baby.

The hotel is like 50m away from Gwangalli Beach, a lot of cafe, pubs and restaurant in close vicinity; overseeing the beautiful Gwangan Bridge at night. However it's not so easy to find the hotel at the first time as the main entrance is facing the street uphill from the beach. The main lobby is on second floor and first floor there is a Vietnam restaurant. It takes around 10 min walks to/from the Geumnyeousan Subway Station - it's even further from the Gwangan Station.

I've written a review for Wood House Hotel before and said I would return here - and I did. The place is still excellent and this time, I even got breakfast here which was simple but good: very good coffee, made with a proper espresso machine, not an automated one, toast, butter, jam, fresh cherry tomatoes and fresh bananas. The lobby doubles as cafe/breakfast lounge and it's lovely. The place is actually very clean. I only gave it one star less this time around because the bathroom, while clean, needs a bit of a deeper clean. Korean bathrooms often don't have windows and however much one cleans, brown edges where the wall and floor tiles meet are sometimes inevitable. Nothing to lose sleep over or feel uncomfortable but it was noticeable. I will definitely return here again and chose the place for the second time although I got a bit of a more expensive room rate than the first time around. Still highly recommended. also for the good communication via text, with directions etc.

The view from the hotel and lobby is magnificent. It has best view of gwangan beach. The room is spacious, clean, bed is comfortable, big. Free mini bar items. There are cafes , bars and restaurant or convenient shop surrounding the hotel. The only downside is it is about 10 minutes walk from subway. During cold or windy weather is it really tiring. I'm staying at 14th floor , there are 2 great massages chair with the beach view that we can use for free !! This is really superb!

The view near the hostel is wonderful. located by the beach and surrounded by high buildings and many restaurants and nice cafe. The room was really clean, even it's a bit small but still enough for 3 people in the room. the bathroom was really nice too, nice design and big mirror hahaha. Ahjussi or the staff is really nice person, he drove us to the nearest bus stop and to Busan Modern Art Museum. The breakfast also the best, they provide egg, bacon, sausage, bread, cheese, cake, banana, coffee, tea, orange and apple juice also. we could cook at the kitchen by our self. The room is almost like a hotel facilities. Overall it is a very nice stay at Bexco hostel. Kamsahamnida Bexco Hostel :)

We enjoyed our stay in this B&B. The price is okay and the breakfast is delicious. The place is about 5 mins walk from the Gwangan Line 2 subway station and it takes less than 10 mins to the Gwangalli beach area where there are a lot of restos and cafés. There are also convenience stores, restos, cafés and other commercial establishments along the Gwangan-ro which can be easily reached from White Island. Most of all, tourists can enjoy a spectacular view of the famous Gwangan Bridge by just taking a short walk any time of day.

perfect choice for solo traveler .i book for three nights for the mixed dorm. Hosts are nice and friendly with nice English.location is great, two mins walk from station. but it located at 4F(or maybe 5 floor?)of a building without elevator or any sign. kinda hard to find at night. everything is new, chill and peaceful in the living room,great bridge view at night. quiet beach just in walking distance. no locker in dorm room.

I get the feeling this is a new guest house. The facility is absolutely amazing, but the owners were MIA. I had some trouble finding it, as well as entering the property. If these issues are addressed, this could become a very popular guesthouse. This is a good guesthouse to visit if you are Korean or are fully confident in your ability to navigate the city without any suggestions or help. The brand new facility is great to relax in after a day at the beach.

The hostel has a cafe in the same building, which helps to find it in the first place, but it's really nicely situated. A short walk from the beach, but at least 10-15min from the subway. The facilities seemed quite new, so everything was super clean and the rooms have contained bathrooms. Friendly staff and I would definitely stay there again or recommend it to friends.

It was a great room, but one of the elevators was coated in sawdust because it was being used as a service elevator for construction. We were on the 12th floor, so if we walked down the stairs to the 11th floor, it felt like we were going to get cancer or something. The stairwell was unbelievably filthy. It was just sawdust, cigarette butts, and spit everywhere and it was very poorly lit. The actual room was really nice, but it would be nice if someone cleaned the outside of the windows. Overall, I felt it was nice, but the building it's located in is not.
