The room was dusty. They changed my sheets but they really didn't clean it because the mirror, and the items on the table were dusty. They did clean my bathroom which I appreciated. Location - it was a very good location. The main reason I booked it was the location, there was a 711 right beside the hotel entrance. It was walking distance to restaurants and bus stops. You can even leave your luggage after you check out. I left my luggage near the reception so I can eat and then go to the airport afterwards, that was very helpful that I didn't have to bring my things just when I needed to eat. Overall, a good stay. Will consider staying here again in the future.

The location was strategic at the heart of Bugis. Very near the MRT and bus stations. Walking distance to Bugis street and nearby restos. The room was cramped. Bed was big enough for 2. The bathroom does not have a separate shower room. The make-shift shower was placed in-front of the toilet bowl and sink. It was very cramped. Airconditioning cannot be regulated. It was very cold. The AC control is not functioning well. Ended up turning it off. Staff were nice. Cleaned our room daily. Over-all, if you want a budget hotel near the Bugis station, that is clean, you can stay at this hotel.

“Expectations vs reality”
We had a nice stay in Hotel 81 Bugis, the location was superb. Close to a train station, beside a convenient store and in the center of attractions. No problem in getting there because its only 15min ride from the Airport via Grab. Staffs are great too! Very helpful and always polite. Approachable and friendly. They clean our room almost everyday. Heater is good too. I love that they are eco-friendly. Although we had a great stay, I didn't expect that the hotel looks and feels old. The room given to us doesn't look like picture. Not spacious for the Queen room, but good at Triple Superior. Toilet and bath is doesn't have a divider so when we took a bath, the toilet is wet-everything is wet. The mini ref is not cold enough to make our drinking water cold. All in all, our stay is good.
