First day of Say Hello Singapore Trip Year 2. I chose to stay here at Hotel G Singapore. I chose the G Great King Room + BF. The room is cute, spacious, and comfortable. The price is friendly, only 4,950 baht (on Saturdays, it's 300-400 baht more expensive). The room feels warm and cozy, like being at home. The bed is soft and almost sinks (or maybe it's because I'm chubby 😂😁). The bathroom is clean with a separate shower. The amenities are well-proportioned. The highlight is the restaurant downstairs, 25° Fast Food, a dream menu for chubby kids like me (just kidding 😄). The food is delicious, especially the beef burger with melted cheese. It's so satisfying and delicious that it brings tears to my eyes. I used to dislike burgers because they're hard to eat, but this place changed my perspective completely. I ordered the Cookies and Cream milkshake, and it was sweet and refreshing. Thumbs up and 5 stars for sure. Anyone who comes to visit must not miss it. 25°, the name says it all, only delicious fast food 🍔🧁. As for breakfast, there are different sets to choose from: English dish, American dish, Chinese dish. You can order whatever you like. I chose to be a good English person and ordered the English dish (actually, I wanted to try everything, but they said I could only choose one 😉). When it was served, there was boiled white beans with sauce, a sausage, a poached egg, and an extra hash brown. I was a bit confused about what I ordered. But I didn't mind because as soon as I tasted the hash brown, I was transported to another world. It was the most delicious hash brown I've ever had in the past 12 years. The taste was so amazing that it filled my mouth completely and made me forget about time. I almost missed check-out time. As for the bar, there are various fruits, milk, fresh orange juice, brownies, cookies, bread, and fruitcake, all arranged in a row. You can scoop as much as you want. Especially the fresh butter from the kitchen, it's so creamy and delicious. I took 4 small pieces. I highly recommend anyone who comes to stay here for at least one night. It's close to the MRT, only 330 meters away (actually, it's almost 1 km, but it's a comfortable walk and there's a guest temple and a nearby Chinese temple to visit and take pictures). But for me, I just took a bath and relaxed because I was hungry. I arrived on May 15th 😃😅

The area is also a food lover's paradise, with numerous dining options easily accessible nearby. The staff were notably friendly and attentive, always ready to help when needed. While the room was compact, it was well-designed and provided adequate space for a solo traveler. However, there were a couple of minor issues: the TV only offered Chromecast functionality without any built-in channels or cable options, and the bathroom had some drainage problems, with water tending to overflow during longer showers. Overall, this property's prime location and helpful service make it a solid choice, particularly for travelers who prioritize convenience and plan to use public transport. The abundance of food options in the neighborhood is an added bonus. Just be mindful of the shower situation and perhaps keep bathing time brief to avoid flooding.

I liked that it was located near bus stops and the Bencoolen mrt station. Pillows and bed were comfortable. The hotel was under renovation when we checked in so there was occassional hammering heard. The main issue we had was the bathroom. When someone was taking a shower water leaked through the wall out to the bedroom floor. We decided not to transfer and was able to manage the leak by redirecting the shower head. There was no bidet either. On our second day the lights went out, but was restored when we came back. Also, tv was seemed useless. There was no cable channel. You can only watch a program by streaming an app through your mobile phone and screen-mirror it to the tv which was a bit of a hassle. There was a mini ref in the room, but was not working. Ice was available at the 2nd floor pantry. No cabinet to put our clothes in, just clothes rack with 4 hangers. If not for the good location and comfortable sleeping amenities, I would only give this hotel 3 stars.
