This review is actually for my first day solo stay and the succeeding stays with my family. I arrived at 12 AM from an overseas flight. The front desk staff that accommodated me was quite alright, except that she wrote down the wrong room number on my room key card (she wrote 299 when it was supposed to be 229). So I was a bit confused looking for a room that didn’t exist. I eventually figured it out on my own when I realized rooms do not go beyond 240. The next day I checked out, left my bags, picked up my family and went back. The managing staff was there and realized what had happened, and, probably because of this, upgraded us to a better room. This was unexpected but very much appreciated. Overall, a nice touch to the small inconvenience that happened. The rooms I stayed in were relatively clean. The walls were a bit thin though, as I could hear noise from next door. But other than this, everything about the room was fine. The filtered faucet was a nice addition. Oh, but the toilet was surprisingly missing a bidet. Breakfast, in my opinion, left a whole lot to be desired. I would recommend just eating out for breakfast. In spite of the negative things that happened, I’d come back. The value for money is quite good, especially considering the service and the location. I just would do away with the breakfast.

Me and my friends stayed here for about 4 nights and it was an amazing stay. From when we entered the building to leaving, the staff were extremely kind and accommodating. When we checked in, the person asked about our trip and gave suggestions for food and activities, as well as tips on how to get around and the locations of all the public transit stops. When we were checking out, we had a late flight and they held our luggage for us during the day for free and even offered us a room to shower and freshen up in when we came to collect our luggage before heading to the airport. The hotel was in a great location where amenities were within walking distance and the subway stop was only a couple of minutes away. The bus stop was even closer and there wasn't a part of the country that we travelled where we couldn't take a single bus to or from our hotel. Not having to transfer busses was extremely convenient with tired first time travelers. This was my second time in Singapore and this hotel beat my first stay infinitely based on location and service. In general, the rooms were cleaned and well kept. Our only complaint might be that the rooms are small. However, in such a dense place like Singapore, you're not getting large rooms without paying the premium for it. As someone who is used to small hotel rooms, it didn't bother me much, just means you have to be generally organized throughout your stay to maintain the space. 10/10 would definitely stay here again if I come back to Singapore.

We arrived early at the hotel and requested an early check-in. After a red-eye flight, we arrived in Singapore early in the morning and really needed some rest. The hotel receptionist, Yash, was very helpful and understanding. He allowed us to check in early without any additional fees. The next day, we requested a late check-out, and once again, the receptionist Firdaus was very accommodating and allowed us to check out slightly later than usual. The hotel rooms were small but very clean. The best part is that it’s just a stone's throw away from the MRT station, making it incredibly accessible. Honestly, I had some doubts about the hotel at first and was even considering canceling. But now, I must say I made the right choice staying here during my transit in Singapore. The hotel staff made our stay very pleasant.

The staff were really friendly and the hotel was really near the MRT which made it very convenient. The room was also kept clean upon request and it was nice to come back to a clean unit. Will surely consider this place again should I come back to Singapore. :)

“Clean, Strategically Located Hotel in Singapore”
Mi Bencoolen is a strategically located hotel in Bencoolen area. There are about 3 MRT Lines around this hotel, the closest one is Downtown Line - Bencoolen which only a few steps away. One block away from the hotel is Circle Line - Bras Basah. And if you are looking to go to Orchard area, walk a few hundred meters and you'll find Dhobby Gaut MRT Station with access to 3 different MRT line. The hotel is also a 10mins walking distance to Bugis area. All in all, the neighborhood is surely a nice one. As for the hotel itself, it was a very warm welcome from the staff, from the greeters to the receptionist. Check-in process was seamless as I already booked and paid via Agoda. Was offered a room with bidet but after further check, all rooms with bidet was sold out. But, it's a no probs from me. The room allocated was small, yes, but it's Singapore where space is premium. The room was bright with window view to pool area, clean and smelled nice. As for me, the only downside was that the Aircon is not cold enough, I already tried to lower the temperature, but still it went back to normal room temp. For anyone looking for accommodation to watch concert in Singapore, I would recommend Mi Bencoolen. Walk one block, take the Circle Line from Bras Basah and take the train bound to Harbourfront and get off at Stadium. Or if you're an avid shopper coming to Singapore to shop till you drop, the Dhobby Gaut with direct stop at the underway passage in Orchard is only a few hundred meters from Mi Bencoolen.
