Hotels near Arab Street

Location: Excellent. It is very near the MRT station. It is literally a few steps away :) Bugis/Arab St/Chinatown are few blocks away so if you prefer to explore, then these places can be reached by walking. Hotel Room: Good. The room and the bathroom is quite small. Limited floor space, thus when we have to fix luggage we need to put it on top of the bed. As for the beddings/toiletries, all are new and comfortable to use, also the aircon would automatically switched to room temperature. But despite this, the room is well maintained and very clean. Facilities: Good. The gym is good cardio exercises only as it only have treadmill in the area. Water bottles are also readily available thus we do not have to worry about hydration. As for the pool, it is clean and not crowded. Staff: Excellent customer service. All the staffs speaks english fluently thus we were able to have the information that we needed/requested. Overall: Highly Recommended! :)

This hotel, while basic and 3 Star, has everything you'd need. Good size room, very clean, great shower, tea/coffee facilities and fridge. The location in Bugis is fantastic and we were able to walk to most places, however a very significant road, Bas Basah, was 50m away with a bus stop that catered for >30 routes right on the corner. Also 400-500m away were two train stations the catered for 5 lines. Bas Basah becomes Orchard Road about 500m around the corner. Easy walk to Little India and Arab Street and Haji Lane. Across the road is a 7/11 and Food Republic and around the corner an Irish pub. The legendary Raffles Hotel was only a couple of blocks away. We will stay here on our next visit

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with wife and 5 y.o. daughter. When we mentioned about the V Hotel Bencoolen, the taxi driver didn't know where it's at. Check in process was quick. Check in time is after 11 am and checkout time is before 1 pm. We arrived there at 10 am, so we kept our luggage and went for a walk. There were 2 convenience stores nearby: Cheers (next to the hotel lobby) and 7 Eleven (less than 50 meters to the left of the hotel lobby). There was also a Kopi Tiam food center within less than 5 minutes walking through an alley. More local food can be found at Waterloo Street, which is located behind the hotel building. Even more food stalls can be found near the apartment complex across Sri Krishnan temple. For those who love shopping, Bugis+, Bugis Junction, and the famous Bugis Street are just within 10 minutes walking. There was an entrance to Bras Basah MRT station (Circle Line/Yellow Line) at Waterloo Street. Another MRT station alternative is the Bugis MRT station (East-West Line/Green Line) which is located underneath Bugis Junction. Lots of people complain about the room size in this hotel. But since I've traveled many times to Singapore, I found that this size is very common at any hotel at this price. What I care most in Singapore hotels are hotel facilities (such as free WiFi in room), distance to public transport, and abundance of food choices. V Hotel Bencoolen, in my perspective, wins them all.

Lovely hotel within walking distance to city hall, bugus and arab street areas. MRT also just a few blocks away. Amazing plus with a free loan smartphone (I guess) in every room, that one could make local & overseas calls and free data. Only strange thing is the duplex type room that i had, slightly inconvenient if you had to get up a few tjmes to go "downstairs" to the restroom that I had.

Our group of 5 people stood in this hotel for 3 nights from April 29 till May 1 of 2018. The hotel room itself is spacious enough for 2 people with limited storage space. The hotel is very clean and fresh through out. Located in just walking distance to main shopping Orchard street and multiple bus and MRT stations. The pool with Jacuzzi is an excellent addition considering Singapore's weather, however there is a room for just 6 chairs at the deck. We booked the breakfast too. The meal is good but for Westerners is too limited - no yogurts, salmon... The cost of booked breakfast is overpriced comparing to what's offered. There is a courtesy cell phone in each room that you can take with you for your outside city trips and communications. Overall we are very satisfied with the hotel cleanliness and staff - they go above and beyond to respond to your needs. For us they reserved transfer from and to the airport, helped us check in to our flight etc...

I really love the place because they were able to accommodate my family (We are a big family of 5). The place was near Arab Street (7-10 mins walking) and near the MRT Station. It was so convenient travelling because it is also near a bus station that can take us downtown :) However, the breakfast buffet spread was too limited, and it doesn't change every day (unlike other reviews that have different breakfast spread everyday). Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

My short 2 night stay was just to break my journey into manageable 7 hour flights . The location was very good, on the edge of the shopping district, but also close to Bugis Street, Arab Street and markets. The check in was speedy, and the staff friendly and efficient. My large room was on the sixth floor and very quiet. My only complaint was that it was a bit dark and the view obscured by the Chinese wooden trim on the outside of the window, so difficult to see down to street level. I would recommend this hotel to anyone just needing a quick stopover at a budget price in a good area.

This is not a 5* hotel so one should not compare. I had a great stay as always. The receptionists may not smile much, but they are friendly n check-in is a breeze! The standard rooms are not very small or cramp, in fact, is a reasonable size. They provide almost all the basic necessities, except for toothbrush & toothpaste n a mini bar/fridge - Standard room. But the rates are worth it despite its an old hotel. But the location is excellent. A walk to the nearest MRT is only less than 5mins! I have stayed her quite a few times, which i enjoyed staying; more than my current place (having to squeez in a roon with my sister). Not forgetting there is also a food court just behind the hotel n it take a mere 3-min walk! Will be back again n its 1 of my fav 3 star hotel to rest n chill with lotsa privacy. Take note: The aircon temp can be really cold - Which is good! Those who are afraid of the cold, remember to have ur jacket ready. Late check-out i got was only til 12.30pm, never once had 1 or 2pm check-out - Could be due to high occupancy. No room service but lotsa eateries around, so no complains. There's also drink vending machines and free ice machine located on certain floors. - Thumb up!

This nice hotel, little but clean... the staff were friendly & helpfull... Although my room was small with limited facilities in toilet (tooth brush & liquod soap availabe), but the toilet was so clean. Sorrounding area were so many restaurant, majority are not Halal... but we can walk around 10 minutes to Bugis junction & Bugis food street to find Halal food. Just 15 minutes walking across the road to reach Suntec city mall.... 10 minutes walking to Haji Lane & Arab street... It’s also about 15 minutes walk to Queen street bus terminal , the way to reach Johor Bahru by bus. .... It’s my second time stay at Marrison Hotel Bugis, I’ll be back again...

thought that it was one of the most convenient location, i booked this hotel just 2 days before my trip to singapore. it really is (just 5-10mins walk to bras basah mrt station). but just a friendly reminder-- there is a construction going on the bencoolen street, mainly in front of the hotel. so, it is a must to walk towards/from bras basah rd or prinsep link to get/drop off from public transpo (which is very inconvenient when bringing luggage with you.) the time we arrived in sg, it was raining so we don't have any choice but to ride a taxi just to get to nearby hotel, still walk around 25m before we get into the hotel itself. me and mum are very embarrassed since we have our luggage with us. the good side is checking-in was very smooth, the receptionist, concierge and a guy (maybe a waiter/maintenance) in the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. the room (king room) is nice, spacious and clean. bathroom is relatively spacious, bathtub doesn't have rubber mat, so your risk of falling/sliding is high. breakfast is good however, the food are just placed outside the hotel (although it is covered) as well as the utensils are exposed to the street with construction outside and public just passing by.

Well, Actually i never planned to choose this hotel while on Singapore. but it turns out to be one of the best things that happen on my trip. Location : very near from bugis location, surrounded by a very interesting street such as Arab Street and the most instragramable street on SG , Haji Lane. for moslem i highly reccomended this place coz you cant found a lot of tasty and halal food around, with a view of the biggest mosque in SG. Cleanliness : Room is very compact as i can tell, very comfort with a new interior there. Staff: Well they are exceptional. very kind and broad smile on their face. never bother us and always provide everything that we need . Facilities : Room is very modern. they provide us a phone that allowed us to make a call or browsing. and the best thing is they rent it for free and we can use it outside the hotel. they provide a still and sparkling water near the receptionist which is very good deal cos a bottle of water can cost you 1 dollar there. Overall, i am very satisfied on my first visit on nuve hotel. i will go back for sure. and i very recommend this place for a solo or couple traveler, who want to save money but not feeling ease to living on hostel. this is 3 star hotel that feels like a 4 star hotel. Conclusion : Highly Recommended !

First time using Citadines group facilities, which satisfying enough. We are family with 3 children, booking 1 bedroom executive and stay for 4 night. 1. Room: Spacious and clean 2. Facilities: Gym, Laundry coin, water dispenser in each floor for free. It will be better if you have swimming pool 3. Location: 5 -6 minutes walk to Bencoolen MRT, Rochor MRT. 10 minutes walk to Bugis MRT, Little India MRT. Close to Bugis Junction, Bugis+, Sim-Lim Square. Lots of singaporean street just cross-by the hotel. 4. Good and helpful staff Note: Just wondering, my friend stay at the same time with us with same room type, charged with same price/night, (but booking it from other application). Fact that they don't get charge for sofa bed arrangement is quite shocking. We've been charge $50/night which confusing us since it's inside the room and should be free facility. Repeat Order: yes for sure, but we will try to order it from other application since they include sofa bed arrangement ^__^

I enjoyed my stay at the Fragrance Hotel. The staff were friendly and always welcoming. They also helped me book a ticket for the Night Safari which was convenient. I asked for an adapter ti be able to plug in my charger and they lent me one free of charge. On my last night I was also able to borrow a scale to weigh all my luggage. In terms of location, it is very convenient and budget friendly. I was able to walk to Bugis Junction, Bugis Street, Arab Street, Haji Lane and the Singapore Art Museum. Catching a taxi to Merlion Park and Gardens by the Bay wasn't an issue as it was within close proximity so I didn't spend much on transport during my stay. I'd recommend this hotel to the lone traveler who needs a central location that is easy to navigate from and around. I would also recommend it to those who are seeking an adventure on a budget. In terms of cleanliness, the cleaners do a pretty neat job and did well in continuously re-stocking coffee, tea, water, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. My stay at Fragrance was great!

We ended up in Singapore unexpectedly overnight after our flight was cancelled, so we needed a room for the family of 4. The room was ideal, with 2 large clean beds and a very nice clean bathroom. It had all we need and was close to some amazing cheap eats near Arab street. The demolition across the road and the road traffic meant for some noise but it didn't bother us too much. A nice place.

we were very happy with this hotel and would stay there again. the lobby was not at all impressive but the rooms were modern, clean, very quiet and comfortable. feather pillows and duvets as well as a large flat screen tv made it pleasant to spend some time in the room relaxing. most of the time though we toured the city and found hotel royal centrally located for all the major sites. we could easily walk to little india, little arab street, clarke and boat quay and raffles. if we didn't feel like walking the mrt subway line was just a few steps outside the front door. we were more than satisfied with the breakfast and internet and found the price reasonable.

Hotel location is perfect, right in front of MRT station DT 21..Bugis street/junction & Kampung Arab/kampung Glam are also nearby, less than 1km walk i suppose..there is mosque on the right side of the building & malay restaurant on left side, which is just perfect for me.. Hotel room is spacious(1 bedroom apt),perfect for traveller with 3 kids for me..next time i travel to singapore, i surely back to this hotel but i will take 2 bedrooms apt.

The air conditioning in the first room we were given was not working,so we were quickly given another room when we asked. It was overlooking the street corner,so we were able to watch the world go by. It was also a much larger room. The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean. We did not eat in the restaurant as there are so many places to eat near by. The hotel is located in a very interesting Heritage area around Arab Street and the Sultan Mosque and also close to the MRT and shops. I would definitely stay the again and recommend it to other travellers. I would definitely stays there again and would recommend it to other visitors to Singapore.

Hotel is walking distance to great restaurants in Little India, Bugis, and Arab Street. Great for those who want to explore exciting restaurants. Room was small, but that was expected, and it was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom floors get really wet after a shower though (no door for shower stall). The gym was tiny and not well equipped. But the pool was really nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again when I return to SG.

We are Malaysian. The fact that we don't have any buying power anymore due to our currency exchange towards Singapore is shameful. However, this hotel gave us hope in order to live in Singapore for a short while. We are not a couple who like to waste so many time up and down the bus at the immigration. The time consume are too valuable for us. Ok, back to the hotel review. It is located at the Bugis Area itself. From the Subway station Bugis is around 5-8 minutes by walking. We took it longer since we have trusted WAZE too much (waze my time!). It share same intersection road with North Bridge Road. The landmark should be; Bugis Junction, National Library, 7 Eleven x 2, Parking Area. The place is good. The staff is friendly (thank you!) unless you are some stingy, fussy and feel-rich person this hotel is not for you. This Hotel is near to National Lilbrary of Singapore (The reason why we came), Bugis Juction, Bugis Market (Tourist Attraction), Arab Street (Halal food available here, as well as Zam Zam Murtabak, try it there), as well as Bus Station to go back to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The Staff may help you to clean your room daily IF you put the key card at the reception counter. The map is available at the counter (English, Chinese). For facilities, they provide towels, kettle, water heater as well. Water heater need some time to get their heat. Maybe need 10-15 minutes per person to enjoy the heat. Furthermore, If the air-conditioner is not so cool, you must inform the counter via phone to make it cooler. Hey, what do you expect? Do not afraid, no ghost available here. The hotel is near haji lane and arab street. You have to walk a little going to mrt and its near the bus station. The staffs are nice. They also have free water, its warm si if you like cold water theres 7 eleven nearby where you can buy ice and put it on hotels fridge just talk to them if you can put it there before buying. Overall it was a good stay. I just have a comment on their bathroom it was smelly i think because its too old they need to maintain cleanliness on their room

You get what you pay for, and more. My boyfriend and I were looking for a budget hotel that meets our requirements: budget hotel, close to MRT, close to the city, quiet neighborhood, clean and with private bathroom. This hotel met all our expectations! It is spacious enough for two guests, we booked the one with windows (402). The sheets are clean. There was a fridge, a table, kettle, TV, closet, towels and 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. Coffee, biscuits and tea are also free. The TV has few channels ut it's okay since we're not there to watch TV anyways. The hotel staff are friendly. We got USS tickets from them for $68 with free $5 meal voucher compared to tickets purchased from the USS gates which cost $76. The neighborhood is quiet even during the day. There are two restaurants just outside the building, one at the ground floor and the other one across the street, near REX cinema which serves really good chili crab dish. It is a 2min walk to Little India MRT.

Pros: got water spray in the toilet, enough room space, very strategic location just few minutes walk to suntec city to hop on duck&hippo bus, bugis junction shopping mall & arab street. Bus stations are also nearby. Our check in was really fast. I think it was less than 5 minutes. The staffs were friendly and helpful. I also love the hotel cafe design tho' its not halal. Cons: non-halal hotel restaurant, no laundry shop nearby, can be a bit noisy at night. Probably because the room door was not soundproof. What stands out: price wise its really worthwhile. It fits my expectation. I hope you maintain your great service. Thanks.
