Hotels near Central

This hotel is located centrally in, well, Central district of Hong Kong Island. It's some 10 minutes walk from the MTR station and in the heart of HK nightlife and dining area. There are connections to anywhere in the city by MTR, buses and you can get a taxi right in front of the hotel at any time of the day. Many boutique shops around it and no more than 10-15 minutes walk to the nearest mall. Many convenience stores, supermarkets, galleries are just around the corner. Airport express (MTR) is one stop away. To and from airport takes some 30 minutes from this hotel. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Room service was quick and very helpful when we needed something that wasn't already there (wine cooler, ice, glasses, extra pillow...). The internet was really fast and stable. The room is small-ish but that's standard in a city like HK and it was very cosy and didn't feel cramped. Front desk was particularly efficient and helpful every time we stopped there. Check in took less than a minute and check out two seconds, it doesn't get any better than that. They helped us to figure out the neighborhood and suggested a number of places to visit and do while there. We suggest you walk around Central and take MTR to anywhere else you need to go. If going to Ocean park you can take a bus not far from the hotel. All in all it's one of the best boutique hotels in Hong Kong - thumbs up!

The location could only be more convienient if the MTR opened into the hotel room door. Take the Airport Express (24 min) to Hong Kong Station (seemlessly joined to Central Station), look for the blue line toward Kennedy Town and Sheung Wan will be the first exit only a couple minutes away. Exit via the Wing Lok (A2) exit, turn right and you will be looking directly at the 7/11 and just beyond Homy Hotel Central. Wing Lok supports a variety of small restaurants, merchants and great sites. Should you want to go to the ferry docks, exit the hotel turn right, turn left into the small alley past the MTR, turn right on Des Voeux Rd (major road) walk down to the crossing point and cross the street, turn right, cross the next street (Rumsey St.), turn left and walk toward the water, do not walk across the street, but take the stairs on your right to use the skywalk. At this point if you walk along the water you will encounter all the major piers. (15 minutes) The bathroom lighting was not the best, the room was small, we were safe, the room was quiet, and it even had windows and AC that worked. If you are looking for a great value and don't need constant pampering, this is a great find.

For my needs, which were to seamlessly move from the HK airport express Central station to a good night's sleep to the Central ferry terminal in the morning, this hotel was a gem; the location was perfect. I took a taxi from the train station, but easily could have walked it (which I didn't realize - the ride was less than 5 minutes, more than half of which was a long detour to get to the other side of the street; The ferry terminal was about 10 minutes walk, very convenient. The value was great (for Hong Kong, that is). I was just sleeping one night, so didn't get to test the facilities, but the desk staff was prompt with a converter plug for my medical device. My only suggestion for improvement is to mark the entryway and the way to the front desk more clearly (even when I arrived, just going in the door and taking the elevator to checkin was not very clear. All in all, really solid value and a good experience.

The staff are extremely professional. The rooms are VERY clean. The location is absolutely perfect. This hotel is walking distance to some of the best bars and Michelin starred restaurants in Central, HK. It is only 1 block away from the sky bridge which will lead to everywhere in Central without crossing the street. I will highly recommend this Boutique Hotel! I traveled during Chinese New Year, the hotel provided proper advisory to all their guest in regards to traffic closure and new year festivities. FANTASTIC! I will definitely stay here again when I travel to Hong Kong.

After doing research, we booked this hotel due to feedback which all turned out to be true. The staff will do anything to help you including giving you umbrellas to use, good directions, making afternoon coffee, and snacks. The breakfast buffet provides plenty of variety to fill up (cereal, lots of fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bakery items, juices, coffee, tea). They upgraded us from a standard to a deluxe room for no charge. To get there from the airport, buy tickets for the Airport Express (vending machine or customer service at airport) to Hong Kong station on the island, then take the shuttle bus to Hotel Ibis. I recommend some currency exchange at the airport also. The hotel is a short walk from there (go to nearest cross street, turn left, walk 1 short block, turn left, go 1 more block and hotel will be on right near intersection. Cabs are cheap but most don't know this hotel but they do know Hotel Ibis. The bed was king size and was a typical firm mattress found in Asia hotels, reasonably comfortable at least for us. There's a great Vietnamese restaurant on nearby Possession St, the variety platter B feeds 2 easily. Antique district and also a great little park are nearby on Hollywood Rd. Sheung Wan subway station is a 10 min walk and Star Ferry Pier to Kowloon side is about a 20 minute walk. Not the best location if you came to Hong Kong to go shopping for clothes.

I have stayed at Lan Kwai Fong Hotel three times, both on family and business trips, and I plan to book it in the future. It is a reasonably priced and service-minded place in a central location. (More than half of my meetings were within easy walking distance.) Although it is in the Central district, it is sheltered from heavy traffic and hectic crowds but close enough to walk to all main destinations, and to the Metro and airport express train stations. The antique shopping district begins immediately behind the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. (Despite the name, this hotel is not in "Lan Kwai Fung", which is a sort of Alcohol Alley about a ten-minute walk away). It takes about 15 minutes to wak to the airport express trains, taking Wellington Street to the pedestrian bridge and following it to an escalator in the IFC Mall. The train takes 25 minutes to or from the airport. One very nice feature of Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a self-service lounge on the fourth floor, partly enclosed and partly open, with free coffee, tea and Wi-Fi. (Internet in the rooms is not free.) Pleasant place to work. I had some problems connecting to Wi-Fi in the lounge, which the staff tried to be helpful about, but with mixed results. Rooms are small, because it's Hong Kong. Each floor has one "mountain view" room, which is what you might get upgraded to, but in my opinion it's not worth paying extra as the rooms are the same size. If you have trouble walking on steep streets and sidewalks with steps in them, you will probably want to stay somewhere else, unfortunately. I recommend the French bistro in Pak Tsz Lane Park, which is in a hidden courtyard between Aberdeen, Gage, Peel and Hollywood.

Superb hotel with amazing facilities. Attention to detail for the 4 yr old was great (smaller dressing gown ant turn down time, with his own slippers for example). Not sure the great view across the harbour justified the price premium over other 5* hotels in Central or Admiralty areas to be honest as it is located all the way down in Western so you dint see much of the TST skyline from the room. Would stay there again - really easy to get around, connected to IFC mall for food, shopping, transportation and right above the Airport Train.

It was my third time to visit HK. But first time with my mom. So booking hotel was the issue that i have rly considered location and hotel condition. It takes only 2min. From sheung-wan station. You can take a walk to get to the Soho and central. Things from Akvo was just perfect and there’s nothing to complain. My mom rly rly liked the hotel so i was happy too. Definitely will choice Akvo next time. If reception was more fancy loke hote, would be nice tho! Thx!

My wife amd I stayed here and thorouhly enjoyed the stay , from the beginning the young lady that checked us in was just a pleasure to talk to and was so friendly with a super smile she offered a early check in as the room was available > from there as we entered the room it was so fresh looking and smelled nice. The showers and ammentities were perfect in everyway we could not fault the room the Harbour view was perfect with a large window size to enjoy it. The bed was so comfy and we both slept beautifully the room was quiet with no noise noticed from other rooms. The location was the best with the tram a 1 minute walk and the MTR train was 5 minutes we found the tram was the best way to Central and everywhere. I could right a book as to how good this Hotel is > study it and check it out > we will stay again as it was the best choice for us eg Value, View , Location, Room size great and roomy. I would rate The IBIS Hotel a 10 stars if I could.

We have been there for the second time already. Both times we felt the hotel as exemplary. From the lobby to the guest rooms everything is very nicely decorated and exudes luxury and comfort.The hotel is overall large. It has unobtrusiveness although it shows luxury. At the breakfast, lunch and dinner is a very large selection of dishes from east and west of the world available. Everything is fresh. In addition, the hotel still has in-house restaurants which present further more dishes on the highest culinary level. The entire staff works very well, even in situations of strain. Personal wishes are taken into account immediately. Taxis for the mobility of the guests are available immediately. Very good is the direct connection to the shopping mall Pacific Place, one of the best addresses for shopping in Hong Kong. The only disadvantage : There is no free Wifi in the hotel .This should be improved from the hotel in the future because already the most hotels in Hong Kong have free offer for Wifi. There is hardly any better place for a hotel stay in Hong Kong. A lot of the city attractions are nearby. Also the accounting process was carried out highly reliable from the hotel after we finished the stay.

very good location, can't be better! very near to lam kwai fong, near to central mtr, near to ifc and the exchange, walking distance to alot of shopping malls! easily accessible and not far from food places also. downside that the rooms are really small but yet clean and nice. if travelling with family, do get a few rooms, price is also very cheap, considering hotels in central are expensive. couples might find it abit squeezy but lovey in the rooms.

My wife and I stayed at the Murray for a few days and I must say everything was absolutely perfect. The service was outstanding. Each and every employee was helpful, kind and courteous. The hotel itself was very well done and comfortable. Rooms were exceedingly clean. We didn't have an opportunity to enjoy Popinjays but the other restaurants had great food and room service was very good (room service at most places seems to be hit or miss). Drinks were tasty and the lobby bar has a decent crowd at happy hour. The hotel is centrally located to everything and makes walking around Central very simple. A nice bonus is being able to get to Victoria Peak tram in literally one minute. Getting a ticket at 7am and being first one on the peak is truly a treat. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel was rather easy to find once you past the Wing On building if coming from Hong Kong Airport Express station. It was a bit of a walk as the overhead walkways did not connect directly into the nearby buildings. The staff were professional and polite. I had quite an unpleasant experience as a couple cut my queue to check in as I was waiting for the staff to finish up with another family. The front desk staff promptly attended to me after realising the situation and politely requesting the couple to wait for their turn so that made me quite impressed. Check in (and check out) was efficient. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. It was clean, spacious and very modern. The toilet and shower area was a bit cramped (though just right for solo travellers) but well stocked with clean new towels and amenities. Shades in the room were already drawn down due to the lack of views (hotel location is facing other office buildings) but the lighting and whole feel of the room was like a 5 star hotel. There was also free wifi and an adapter in the room. The hotel is very close to Sheung Wan MTR station, just turn right once you exit through the front doors, turn right at the corner and just 1 block down is exit B of the MTR station. Takes maybe 3 mins to walk there. Train fare to Central MTR station is HKD4 and Causeway Bay is HKD5. However, if you fancy a walk instead, you can take a 15 stroll up to Central (due to the window shopping that I was doing and the lunch crowd at that time) if not it might take only half the time to reach the Central shopping centres/mid-level escalators. Very good value for that price to stay at Hong Kong Island. I will definitely recommend it to other travellers. Also as I booked through Agoda, check in and check out procedure was simple and fast with the voucher. As I was checking out that day, there was another couple who had gone to the bank to draw cash as their overseas credit cards were not accepted

Service is superb. Kudos to the front desk, housekeeping, waiters and concierge! One of the best I have come across. Would have taken the time to personally thank each of them if was not in a rush. Room size is big compared to most hotels in Hong Kong. I booked the 2 double-bedded room cos there were 3 of us. The room was clean and the housekeeping team constantly kept it clean. The hotel is connected (through an underpass) to the Admiralty train station, which is just a stop away from the Central station. It is also walking distance to a tram station. Overall, loved the hotel and will certainly come back again if i have the chance. Pricing is a bit steep though but for the service we got , it's worth it

This was one of our best choices in many hotels night booked. Perfect when it comes to everything to do with the hotel, the room is great and the facilities completely fit the 5 star rating. The staff was nice, however in general, quite cold/distant. Probably just a matter of culture. Nothing to point at, but you don't fell exactly a warm welcome. But understanding that, the hotel is great, perfect location allowing you to go wherever you want by walking or get into the metro. Very good breakfast, which for the price of the hotel should always be inclusive and not charge additionaly (my mistake doing the reservation, for sure).

1. Food was lackluster. Dinner in Cafe Gray was disappointing. Room service breakfast options were extremely limited and dull. 2. Snack items in the mini bar were all sweet. Maybe mix it up with some salty treats as well? 3. Outlet in bathroom was 2-prong but blow dryer provided was 3-prong with no adapter. We ended up having to blow-dry our hair by the writing desk in the room (with no mirror) since it was the only area with universal outlets. 4. Need accessible universal outlets by the bed. Hate it when hotels don't anticipate that people usually charge their phones by their bed side at night. 5. No bidet spray/hand held bidet in the bathroom. 6. Airconditioning was centralized, we couldn't control our own temperature in the room. Also, motion-activated so when we were asleep, the room would get quite warm which woke us up a few times. Everything else was excellent!!!

Just got back from HK and we had the best hospitality experience so much so that I usually don't write reviews on platforms however when one has such an awesome experience it should be shared with the rest of the world and the team involved should be recognised. Stayed at 99 Bonham for 2 nights/3 days and from the time we checked in till the time we checked out it was all great! The location to start with was great - centrally located to all the great restaurants, cafes and boutiques. The best feature was the smartphone available for in house guests to take around which already had google maps,information about all the things to do and see in HK as well as the option of making free international calls to a select number of countries. For us though it was the team at 99 Bonham that made our experience in HK that much more memorable. A very special thank you to Kamen who was an absolute star when it came to making sure we had the best possible stay in HK which we did! We'd definitely be recommending 99 Bonham to all our friends and if we do come back to HK theres no question as to where we'd chose to stay! Thanks again for a great weekend!

Only one note for the hotel: no room service and no restaurants or shops nearby late night, so make sure to stock up on snacks. Otherwise, it's located at a prestigious residential area, both central and wanchai is accessible by taxi. Hong Kong locations can be busy, noisy and polluted, so I truly value such good location. I have stayed there for two weeks. I will stay there next time. If you are staying in HK for party, they you may want a more central hotel, at the price of sleeping with the noise or bars, honks, helicopters and sirenas.

The Jervois and it's sister properties at One96 and 99 Bonham are my favourite places to stay in Hong Kong - and the Jervois is my favourite of the favourites. The rooms are all actually suites with a separate living room and the amount of usable space you have is high. The design is outstanding - modern and stylish. Also love the location in Sheung Wan, which is much more fun than the more business-y areas of Central and Wan Chai. Great restaurants and cafes are nearby. You realise you don't need many of the things that a full service hotel offers (like room service) and would much rather have the location and space and privacy of the Jervois than the tiny tasteless room you'd get at even a high-end chain hotel. If you're hungry at Jervois, just order Deliveroo from Chachawan and in 20 minutes you'll have some of the best Thai food you'll ever eat! Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. It is incredible value for money.

Pros: • A quiet and private hotel (if you don't like noisy). • Front desk staffs are very service oriented and went the extra mile to do things for guests. English language is definitely no problem. • Suites are immaculate and clean. I was a solo guest, so the size of the room is perfect with kitchenette and dryer. • Lift go to your level suite only. And you're the only one on the floor. • Housekeeping is efficient. • Location is perfect. In the heart of central but tucked away from the busy roads. Cons: • No room service but they allow deliveroo (lots of choices and very fast delivery) and there are nearby cafes. • There is only one lift to all levels. Waiting time can be 4 mins long. • The lounge area isn't well stocked with refreshments. Don't bother going. Overall I would definitely repeat come back to this hotel again.

Staffs are quite friendly and helpful.. what i was impressed is there's a Hollywood lounge at level 3 in the hotel that provide snacks and beverages for free..even 5 stars hotel didn't provide such free flow beverages n snacks like madera hollywood.. if you are a party goers, than this place is suit for you.. easily access to bars and lan kwai fong, if you want to go to the mal, just turn left from the hotel and walk up to the bridge, then you'll connected to the malls.. the hotel is quite near with kau kee (the famous beef noodle in Hk).. i'm staying at madera for 3nights, the first night when i checked in, the Air conditioning is not functioning well, i called the reception and they said that the Air condition is the central aircon and they turned on the heater during winter.. but as in korean, winter is not really cold, so i felt so hot inside the room.. first night was almost give up and moved to another hotel, but surprisingly on the second night, the aircon went well and really cold and i like it.. overall, i really enjoyed my stayed at madera..

My trip was 1 more stay to Hong Kong because of the typhoon, which delayed my flight. I reserved City View but upgraded to Harbor View, and the staff were very kind and didn't say anything unnecessary. The sauna was small but clean, and the amenity quality was great. The amenity inside the room was a Bottega Veneta product. The Harvard view room was really the best. It is expensive room rate but minibar is not free, so I felt sorry. The indoor pool was rather small. Although the room view was good, I wonder if I will visit next time because the room rate is too high. But it was one of the best hotels I've ever used.

The main thing that impressed me the most with this hotel are their staff who were very attentive and accommodating to our needs especially the hotel manager William. We really appreciate all their help with our last minute requests even before we arrived and during the duration of our stay as well. The hotel is located very near Lan Kwai Fong which is very good for those who wants to go to bars at night, very near restaurants and some shopping areas. Their room is very cozy and comfortable, similar to 5star hotels, bathroom is quite big as well. What's also nice is the free use of wifi, free breakfast and best of all their free mini bar, replenished daily, comes with the rate. Overall, this hotel is excellent and i would highly recommend it if your're staying in Central, Hongkong.

and it’s exactly that way. I changed my plans last minute and booked this one on AGODA. Never heard of OVOLO hotel but the location and the price suited me so I booked it as my usual picks were full. Overall experience was wonderful. This is probably one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in but this is one of the best nights in 40 years of travel. Upon check in, they great you with a smile and offer you a glass of wine! Then they tell you to relax in a sofa while doing the registration. After all is done a nice lady take you to the room which is unbelievably small but surprisingly warm and cozy and explains you how to handle all the gimmicks. Everything is design, ultra-modern and functional. Free wifi and this one is definitely a first FREE MINI BAR still wonder how they managed to insert a mini bar in a mini room. The second floor reception/lounge has drinks, snacks and fruit and it’s all free. I felt like in the first class lounge at the airport. I am not a big believer in spiritual things like “feng shui “ but if this exist they definitely used it in the OVOLO I felt like a strange calm and relaxing atmosphere in addition to the staff being extremely friendly. I have met thousands of hotel staff these ladies were especially nice, Again “Feng Shui” maybe? If you are a couple with two suitcases you will have a problem with this room seems they are all identical in this property, but if you are a solo traveler that just needs the hotel for the shower and the bed this is the best value for money in Hong Kong I will definitely be back.

It is hard to come across good deals on Hong Kong accommodation. Mingle at the Eden is a great option if you are looking for something a bit less expensive than most hotels in the city. The room my friend and I stayed in was larger than I expected, and very clean and nice. The location is outstanding because it is near Lan Kwai Fong, the Mid-Levels Escalators, and two metro stops. I would definitely stay here again.

a well known hotel that provides the best service they could...at our arrival,they showed us the hotel as well as a very beautiful piece of artwork(biggest piece of art in HK)... we spent our Xmas holiday in HK and the staff gave us a box of chocolate with a very sweet note...very tocuhed and surprised... the hotel is located near the central which is a food and shopping heaven... Good location, wonderful staff.... No regret...best choice in HK island

We had a fantastic stay at Sohotel due to the extremely gracious and accommodating staff. They looked after us like family. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean. Although small, they attention to detail in the design makes everything very efficient to store your belongings. Large size showers and plenty of space in the loo, which is rare in smaller locales. It was very quiet, with super comfortable new beds. I have a bad back... I slept great. Elevator and wheel up luggage ramp provided. Breakfast was v good...egg, croissant, juice, tea/coffee. We recommend adding it to your booking. Lovely modernist floral displays. The hotel is situated in an excellent location within the Sheung Wan-- there is so much to do in terms of art galleries, small one-off boutiques, and dining options are endless. A bus from the HK Express terminal stop brings you right across the road complimentary. Take a quick 5-10 minute walk to SOHO, Hollywood Road, and a short tram ride or metro to Central, using your Octupus card. Very efficient. There are so many patisseries, brunch spots, organic food, French, Italian, Thai, craft beer spots.. you will not run out of options. Walk the hills and explore street by street. We will definitely return to stay at Sohotel and the staff will retain a special place in our memories.
