We have made several request prior to the booking and received response within 2 days with all our questions answered. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by their friendly staff at the door that carried our luggage into the lobby, a caring gesture offered by the hotel. Served by friendly staff who conversed in proper English, everything was done orderly and fast, they really know their stuff well. Had some hiccups with the air-conditional unit and were offered to change room without us asking (Many other hotel required us to asked for a change). The new room was heaven and really comfortable. My 5 days stay in Hong Kong was really enjoyable and memorable by their service standard. As from the name speaks, it is Hollywood theme, you will be welcomed by a series of camera flashed when u walk towards the lift lobby. Furnished with a Hollywood theme backdrop and a director’s chair at the lift lobby, you could take some photographs while waiting for the lift. With the Hollywood theme and excellent service standard by the hotel staff you will feel like a star there. Definitely will go back again or explore other hotels from this hotel chain.

The location is superb! Exit A2 of the Sheung Wan MTR station is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. 7 Eleven is just few shops away in the same row with hotel. Tourist attractions like PMQ, Tai Kwun, Graham Street Art, Lan Kwai Fong, SOHO and Jenny Bakery (Sheung Wan branch) are within walkable distance from the hotel. We grabbed chances to try classical Hong Kong style breakfast in few restaurants nearby like Shui Kee Coffee (for ham egg instant noodles+ french toast + coffee) , Lan Fong Yuen (for pork chop macaroni + famous milk tea) , Maxim's Palace (for Dim Sum) and Sheng Kee Congee (for Fish Belly + Beef Conggee). Homy Hotel Central definitely is the best choice for travelers who are planning to depart to Macau by ferry. Ticket counter and ferry terminal which located at Shun Tak Centre is accessible by walking underground from exit A2 to exit D of Sheung Wan MTR station. Staffs are very helpful. The rooms we stayed are comfortable and cleaned daily.

One of the best hotel experiences we've had, with fantastic value for money. We stayed in a suite, which was better than the picture reveals. In fact, perhaps the worst thing I can say is that the hotel undersells itself - I stared at that picture a long time trying to size it up. As it turned out, the living room and bedroom were modern and comfortable, with all the same amenities in both rooms save for a normal bed in one and sofa bed in the other. Both had great showers, TVs, separately controllable aircon, etc. Added bonus were outlets built into the desk for USB phone charging or connecting to the TV with any number of cables you might bring. Staff was friendly, well spoken and readily available. However, I did need to request a couple of included items such as a free portable WiFi and breakfast vouchers. On that note, breakfast is at a nearby restaurant with only once choice on offer. It was OK for free, but you can do much better. It's in a very convenient location with an eclectic mix of old and new. All in all, if you're looking for a value place to sleep and stay, this one is hard to beat.

The staff are extremely professional. The rooms are VERY clean. The location is absolutely perfect. This hotel is walking distance to some of the best bars and Michelin starred restaurants in Central, HK. It is only 1 block away from the sky bridge which will lead to everywhere in Central without crossing the street. I will highly recommend this Boutique Hotel! I traveled during Chinese New Year, the hotel provided proper advisory to all their guest in regards to traffic closure and new year festivities. FANTASTIC! I will definitely stay here again when I travel to Hong Kong.

After doing research, we booked this hotel due to feedback which all turned out to be true. The staff will do anything to help you including giving you umbrellas to use, good directions, making afternoon coffee, and snacks. The breakfast buffet provides plenty of variety to fill up (cereal, lots of fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bakery items, juices, coffee, tea). They upgraded us from a standard to a deluxe room for no charge. To get there from the airport, buy tickets for the Airport Express (vending machine or customer service at airport) to Hong Kong station on the island, then take the shuttle bus to Hotel Ibis. I recommend some currency exchange at the airport also. The hotel is a short walk from there (go to nearest cross street, turn left, walk 1 short block, turn left, go 1 more block and hotel will be on right near intersection. Cabs are cheap but most don't know this hotel but they do know Hotel Ibis. The bed was king size and was a typical firm mattress found in Asia hotels, reasonably comfortable at least for us. There's a great Vietnamese restaurant on nearby Possession St, the variety platter B feeds 2 easily. Antique district and also a great little park are nearby on Hollywood Rd. Sheung Wan subway station is a 10 min walk and Star Ferry Pier to Kowloon side is about a 20 minute walk. Not the best location if you came to Hong Kong to go shopping for clothes.

lovely hotel in a great location - hidden in a historic district full of old buildings, temples, markets smacked in the middle of Central (the financial and luxury shopping district in HK). the district is also the area where you find trendy restaurants and bars mixed with old style chinese cafes and restaurants. the hotel is wonderful. service is great. one could say the price is too reasonable. you get more than you pay for. there's also a great chinese restaurant in the hotel. (only locals go there. it's considered one of the best restaurants in hk. 2 michelin stars)

We appreciated all the superb facilities offered by the hotel, you may think it's expensive but if you are able to take advantage of the facilities available it's very good value for money & it should meet your expectations, it certainly did our; it won't let you down. The location is perfect for the Central area, the MTR is five minutes walk away & it's easy to get to the ferry quays for Kowloon etc. the hotel has a range of restaurants from the lounge to Michelin star French cuisine restaurants. The swimming pool is definitely worth trying, there can't be many other pools in HK with such views.

I was worried to stay here due to some of the neg. reviews but I was incredibly satisfied with my stay. The room was fairly large for HK standards, the living area w/ dining table was large, so was the bathroom (tub + shower). Bedroom area was also a decent size. Only small call-out is that some neighboring buildings are quite close to the hotel so you have to be cognizant in keeping the blinds down for privacy or they'll be able to see you. But I love that each floor is dedicated to one hotel unit/room so you really feel like you own the floor. There was a restaurant (viet/pho) on the ground floor, but I haven't tried it. Only gripe was that the A/C unit was a bit too loud and the shower drain got clogged easily but the management fixed it right away. Who cares about the small reception area, it's a boutique hotel in HK! Would absolutely stay here again if the price remains consistent! Please don't jack up the price please! Nice touches = Dyson hairdryer & B&O speakers.

This hotel is actually in an excellent location. To reach the hotel, you can take the airport shuttle A11 and drop off at the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal. The journey time will only take around 35-40 minutes, and you will save loads of money by not taking the airport express. Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal is only 3-5 minutes walk away, making it easy to get to Macau for a short day trip. Instead of walking to Sheung Wan MTR, take full advantage of the cheap and excellent tram system, there is a tram stop right next to the hotel. It is a great way to access most of the attractions on Hong Kong island, you can easily reach Sheung Wan and Central, or even Wanchai/Causeway bay/North Point if you have all the time in the world. Did I mention that it is only $2.30 per trip? The hotel is new, which is a blessing in itself as compared to the old and decaying buildings everywhere in HK. The rooms are small, but reasonably spacious by HK standards. The saving grace was the high ceiling which helps to create alot of room space in spite of the limited floor area. For those who complain about poor TV reception, click on the HDMI button on the remote control and you will get to watch all the local channels in full HD glory. There are both cantonese and english channels for your viewing pleasure. Booked a city view room, but was pleasantly surprised that there is a narrow view of the ocean. On the surface this might be the dead boring part of the town, with all the dried seafood shops but there are lots of hidden gems and good food in the vicinity.... there are many boutique cafes and eateries along Hollywood street and further up the hill, I would recommend people to take the mid-level escalator up, then walk down... it will be an easier walk! we made the mistake of walking up from sheung wan on the first day and it was a treacherous hike. In short, take the effort to explore the vicinity and you will be rewarded :)

We have been there for the second time already. Both times we felt the hotel as exemplary. From the lobby to the guest rooms everything is very nicely decorated and exudes luxury and comfort.The hotel is overall large. It has unobtrusiveness although it shows luxury. At the breakfast, lunch and dinner is a very large selection of dishes from east and west of the world available. Everything is fresh. In addition, the hotel still has in-house restaurants which present further more dishes on the highest culinary level. The entire staff works very well, even in situations of strain. Personal wishes are taken into account immediately. Taxis for the mobility of the guests are available immediately. Very good is the direct connection to the shopping mall Pacific Place, one of the best addresses for shopping in Hong Kong. The only disadvantage : There is no free Wifi in the hotel .This should be improved from the hotel in the future because already the most hotels in Hong Kong have free offer for Wifi. There is hardly any better place for a hotel stay in Hong Kong. A lot of the city attractions are nearby. Also the accounting process was carried out highly reliable from the hotel after we finished the stay.

Best $ value : cheap hotel right at the central area. Best location : few meters away from Lai Kwai Fong (ie. Hardrock cafe, many bars..). Near central, Worldwide bldg etc). Use Exit D. Expect to walk going uphill since this is located at hillside and stiff stairs but good for exercise. Others best : cleanliness is good. Aircon is good. With free use of local hand phone / smartphone (Alcatel). Which can bring outside with free mobile data.. Very useful and one of the best thing in the hotel. Downside : small room is expected with the cheap price. No space for your extra luggages. No table for your laptop or chair/spool provided. Very small sink for washing of your hands or during toothbrush. But overall the experience is good. Rate : 8/10. Thanks.

The hotel was rather easy to find once you past the Wing On building if coming from Hong Kong Airport Express station. It was a bit of a walk as the overhead walkways did not connect directly into the nearby buildings. The staff were professional and polite. I had quite an unpleasant experience as a couple cut my queue to check in as I was waiting for the staff to finish up with another family. The front desk staff promptly attended to me after realising the situation and politely requesting the couple to wait for their turn so that made me quite impressed. Check in (and check out) was efficient. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. It was clean, spacious and very modern. The toilet and shower area was a bit cramped (though just right for solo travellers) but well stocked with clean new towels and amenities. Shades in the room were already drawn down due to the lack of views (hotel location is facing other office buildings) but the lighting and whole feel of the room was like a 5 star hotel. There was also free wifi and an adapter in the room. The hotel is very close to Sheung Wan MTR station, just turn right once you exit through the front doors, turn right at the corner and just 1 block down is exit B of the MTR station. Takes maybe 3 mins to walk there. Train fare to Central MTR station is HKD4 and Causeway Bay is HKD5. However, if you fancy a walk instead, you can take a 15 stroll up to Central (due to the window shopping that I was doing and the lunch crowd at that time) if not it might take only half the time to reach the Central shopping centres/mid-level escalators. Very good value for that price to stay at Hong Kong Island. I will definitely recommend it to other travellers. Also as I booked through Agoda, check in and check out procedure was simple and fast with the voucher. As I was checking out that day, there was another couple who had gone to the bank to draw cash as their overseas credit cards were not accepted

Of all the 5 star hotel Iounge/ Club room facilities I have been to...JW Marriot offers the most exciting and bountiful spread...great food that includes steaks, a good variety of wine and a surprising bonus of belgian chocolates! The food is simply abundant and prepared with care and with utmost consideration for the needs and wants of business travellers like me. Upon arriving in our room, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a basket of premium tea and fruits. The bed is the most comfortable I have laid on. And the harbour view of Hong Kong in the glass window of our corner room was simply breathtaking. The remote-controlled window-drapes is a great example of the management's being keen of making sure that their clientele's are pampered and spoiled! The jacuzzi is also sufficient in size. There was even a solar bed! My JW Marriott experience is the best!

For the price (from Agoda), it's definitely one of the good hotels out there in Hong Kong Island. Despite the fact that it is relatively far away from the MTR station, it is within walking distance to the mid-level elevators (approx. 5mins). Not only that, there's even a bus stop right outside the hotel. There's also a hotel shuttle bus service to the Airport Express and other locations. Other than that, the hotel has a fantastic swimming pool with a great view of the city below it, and it's definitely one of the must-do if time permits to relax. You also spend one of the day having a decent breakfast buffet at the Sky Terrace cafe, overlooking the city as well. Great service provided by the hotel staff and housekeepers. Most importantly it provides free Wi-Fi - just check with the lobby for the password. Despite room being small, the newly renovated room makes it feel cosy and nice to stay in without feeling claustrophobic. What's more, the bathroom has a interchangeable shower head... Room takes a little while to cool up since it uses a single air-conditioning unit type. But if you are lugging a big suitcase along, this isn't really a place for you since there isn't much space to even put my bagpack. The cupboard is pretty small and tiny, but has a good handy-dandy safe in it. It has plenty of wall plugs on the table, and thus usefully for people like me carrying lots of gadgets. Overall, the room is pretty good for its price for a travel light person like me.

This was one of our best choices in many hotels night booked. Perfect when it comes to everything to do with the hotel, the room is great and the facilities completely fit the 5 star rating. The staff was nice, however in general, quite cold/distant. Probably just a matter of culture. Nothing to point at, but you don't fell exactly a warm welcome. But understanding that, the hotel is great, perfect location allowing you to go wherever you want by walking or get into the metro. Very good breakfast, which for the price of the hotel should always be inclusive and not charge additionaly (my mistake doing the reservation, for sure).

Upper House is one of the 3 House Brands (the other 2 are Opposite House in Beijing and Temple House in Chengdu) of the Swire Group and Upper house is the best! Pros: Very stylish and modern design. Down to detail care and service from the extremely friendly staff. Very spacious and clean room with gorgeous mountain view and harbor view. Tasteful restaurant offers delicious western food and spectacular view of the Kowloon Peninsular. The hotel was right above the Pacific Place shopping mall with easy access to numerous shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and grocery stores. Shangri-La HK Hotel, JW Marriot HK Hotel and Conrad HK Hotel are all within 5-minute walking distance from the Upper House. Cons: There is no elevator on the ground floor. We had to take the escalator to the 1st floor to take the elevator. We travelled with a baby. The baby must be taken out from the stroller every time we get in and out of the hotel. There is no Chinese restaurant. We found it hard to find supplementary food for our baby in the hotel. Conclusion: A very stylish, high end, luxury boutique hotel that is more suitable for a business travel or a romantic vacation than a family travel with young children. Will come back again but most unlikely with a baby.

i have the pleasure to be one of the first to stay and review 99 bonham, which is really more of a serviced apartment than a hotel. i usually book my hotel stays based on customer reviews, but i took a chance with this one since i needed one night in a hotel in hong kong, and the photos and website were very attractive. and i'm so glad i took that chance! i've stayed in various places in hk (i'm from hk originally), and if you've never been to hk before, you'll be shocked by the high prices and extremely small rooms typical of most hk hotels. space is probably the most expensive commodity there! but to my surprise, 99 bonham offers per-night bookings for their service apartments. their standard studio suite is really more of a glamorized hotel room. the difference is that there's enough space for a dining/hangout table with two chairs and a booth sofa, and there's a small kitchen counter area with a stove, sink, pots and pans, microwave, etc. it's probably perfect for a single or couple staying a few weeks here. in fact, the room is so nicely done up, i felt like i wasted it by only staying one night here! when you first enter the building (may be hard to find; if you're taking the mtr, exit at a2, turn right, cross the street, turn left, then right onto bonham), you get the feeling that you're in the wrong place. it's just an empty lobby with a sofa and a counter. reminds me of the movie men in black. but as you approach the staff behind the counter, you're greeted with hospitality, service, and a friendly smile. check-in probably took me 3 minutes. the odd part was when i had to fill out my credit card details on paper myself, but no big deal. then, you're handed a key card for the lobby door and elevators, a metal key for your apartment, and an info packet. the elevators and hallways are small, but once you step into your room, you're greeted with modern furnishings that are edgy, sleek, but not cold at all. love this place!

I was surprised at the quality of this hotel as it is listed as a 3 star. I have stayed at 5 star hotels that weren't as good as this one . Our room was at the uphill side of the hotel so we didn't get the great views but next time we may get better views. This is not a complaint as i realise that u can't always get the best rooms and the quality of the room made up for it. The resturant was quite good too. I chose this hotel for its proximity to the botanical gardens - a good choice, well worth visiting. We will be staying here again .

Was nice to have an apartment with more space and full kitchen during out stay in Hong Kong. The views of the city and tons of natural light added a exciting element to staying in the middle of downtown. We were also walkable to most of the locations we wanted to visit - malls, IFC, restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to any leisure or business traveler.

The Jervois and it's sister properties at One96 and 99 Bonham are my favourite places to stay in Hong Kong - and the Jervois is my favourite of the favourites. The rooms are all actually suites with a separate living room and the amount of usable space you have is high. The design is outstanding - modern and stylish. Also love the location in Sheung Wan, which is much more fun than the more business-y areas of Central and Wan Chai. Great restaurants and cafes are nearby. You realise you don't need many of the things that a full service hotel offers (like room service) and would much rather have the location and space and privacy of the Jervois than the tiny tasteless room you'd get at even a high-end chain hotel. If you're hungry at Jervois, just order Deliveroo from Chachawan and in 20 minutes you'll have some of the best Thai food you'll ever eat! Couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. It is incredible value for money.

I am so impressive since the first day I arrived. The service is beyond my expectation.The staffs are very helpful, full serviced minded and friendly. The room is clean and quiet.The facilities in the room are all you need. The location of the hotel is perfect since just very short distance walk to Sheung Wan Station and not that crowding so we can take the full rest for my business trip. . It was also my birthday during the stay. The staff and management team was so caring and surprised me with a cake in the refrigerator. It is one of the most impressive stay I have ever experienced from many many trips I have taken. I would definitely recommend my friends and colleagues to choose this place whenever they travel to Hong Kong especially those would have the businesses or want to stay on Hong Kong Island.

This is a hotel for young adults. It is wonderfully located on Hollywood Road, which is the center of one of the most trendy dining areas in HK. There are at least 100 restaurants and bars within walking distance, ranging from really cheap eats to Michelin star-studded eateries. You would never get hungry (or "thirsty") during your stay. The hotel room is beautifully and colorfully decorated with a retro Hollywood theme. The room is spacious and very comfortable. I would love to stay here again.

My trip was 1 more stay to Hong Kong because of the typhoon, which delayed my flight. I reserved City View but upgraded to Harbor View, and the staff were very kind and didn't say anything unnecessary. The sauna was small but clean, and the amenity quality was great. The amenity inside the room was a Bottega Veneta product. The Harvard view room was really the best. It is expensive room rate but minibar is not free, so I felt sorry. The indoor pool was rather small. Although the room view was good, I wonder if I will visit next time because the room rate is too high. But it was one of the best hotels I've ever used.

i want to just start my review off with "stay at this hotel." just in case you don't read the rest of my review. i absolutely loved this place. first off it is a beautiful and clean boutique hotel in a great location of the city. there is dining, shopping, and nightlife around every corner. the rooms were incredibly clean and they provide a complimentary mini bar. of course they have free wifi with good connection speeds. our room had apple tv set up on the television which was a nice change from the $10 old movie selections i have come to expect from hotels of this caliber. the bed was comfortable and the shower was spacious. but after saying all of this the best part of the hotel is the staff. william, ada, and another gentleman (who's name i regrettably can't remember, i'm sorry) were always there to suggest the most amazing things to do. please speak to the staff about any questions and ask for their recommendations. i feel i have said enough and i would once again suggest staying here while in hong kong.

and it’s exactly that way. I changed my plans last minute and booked this one on AGODA. Never heard of OVOLO hotel but the location and the price suited me so I booked it as my usual picks were full. Overall experience was wonderful. This is probably one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in but this is one of the best nights in 40 years of travel. Upon check in, they great you with a smile and offer you a glass of wine! Then they tell you to relax in a sofa while doing the registration. After all is done a nice lady take you to the room which is unbelievably small but surprisingly warm and cozy and explains you how to handle all the gimmicks. Everything is design, ultra-modern and functional. Free wifi and this one is definitely a first FREE MINI BAR still wonder how they managed to insert a mini bar in a mini room. The second floor reception/lounge has drinks, snacks and fruit and it’s all free. I felt like in the first class lounge at the airport. I am not a big believer in spiritual things like “feng shui “ but if this exist they definitely used it in the OVOLO I felt like a strange calm and relaxing atmosphere in addition to the staff being extremely friendly. I have met thousands of hotel staff these ladies were especially nice, Again “Feng Shui” maybe? If you are a couple with two suitcases you will have a problem with this room seems they are all identical in this property, but if you are a solo traveler that just needs the hotel for the shower and the bed this is the best value for money in Hong Kong I will definitely be back.

It is hard to come across good deals on Hong Kong accommodation. Mingle at the Eden is a great option if you are looking for something a bit less expensive than most hotels in the city. The room my friend and I stayed in was larger than I expected, and very clean and nice. The location is outstanding because it is near Lan Kwai Fong, the Mid-Levels Escalators, and two metro stops. I would definitely stay here again.

the best thing about this hotel is the service. the staff are very friendly, accommodating, and very efficient. it is located about 4-6mins away (by foot) from sheung wan mtr station and hkd20 cab ride away from lan kwai fong and soho. there are circle k outlets, a 711, and a welcome supermarket nearby. it is surrounded with coffee shops, bakeries, and restaurants as well. there's a bazaar near wing lok st. every sunday. the rooms are very clean and the hotel smells really good. i've been traveling to hong kong since i was a child and this year alone, i flew to hong kong 4 times and i have always stayed in kowloon hotels -- and sohotel made me feel that tsim sha tsui hotels are overrated. this may not be the biggest and most beautiful hotel i've stayed in but it sure is the best in terms of cleanliness and service. did i mention that there's free wifi internet service in every room and you can call as much local numbers you want -- for free?
