"I was a solo business traveller and found this property to be very central on Hong kong Island in the area called "Central" which is the hub of all transport for moving around Hong Kong, Airport Express, Metro, Trams, Buses & Ferries are only a few mins walk away. Hotel was very trendy/chic with modern and new fixures. Bed was a double bed which was very comfortable with a doona. Hotel was 5 mins walk from all trendy eateries in SOHO and 2 mins walk to LKF. Wifi worked very well in room. As are all the hotel rooms in Hong Kong, this hotels rooms were small as well."

"My wife and I lived in Hong Kong twice, for a total of four years. For most of that time we lived at mid-level on the Victoria side, and we loved the view we had, day and night. There are many more luxurious and famous hotels in Hong Kong, but at Bishop Lei we can have an excellent hotel, at a very reasonable price. We like the small but functional suites which have a bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows. In the daytime we can look down on the Governor’s house and Central, with lots of greenery too. At night we have a fabulous view! The staff is efficient there is a good outdoor swimming pool, and the location, at the top of the Hong Kong escalator is perfect. In the morning we can take the escalator down, and in the evening or afternoon take it up. There are many good restaurants in the lively Lan Kwai Fong area along the escalator path, so it is easy to go out for dinner without having to go very far. The hotel also has a regular shuttle service to downtown and airport express."

"Don't be fooled when you see "YWCA." This is an actual hotel, located in the midlevels in Hong Kong. It is pretty conveniently located, about a 15 minute walk to Central down the hill. Warning: the hotel is ON a hill, so it takes a bit of time to walk up, but does not require any extraordinary effort. From Central you can get anywhere on the island. If you are coming in from the airport, you can just take the Airport Express train to Hong Kong station, and catch a cab up the hill. Shouldn't be more than $35 Hong Kong dollars for the cab, depending on how much luggage you have (each one costs $5 extra). The free buffet breakfast (which was included on our fee) was a great selection of dim sum and other dishes. I thought the western fare tasted a bit better, and they have great coffee. Only downsides are the climb up the hill every night. Also, the AC was amazingly cold in the common areas (lobby, elevator areas). Lastly, it would be nice to have free wireless or internet in the rooms, but the great clean rooms and location more than made up for it."

"It's only 5 minutes walk to Sheung Wan MTR station, only a stop to Central MTR Station which connect you to Hong Kong Airport Express station. One of the staff named "Brandon" and he is super friendly. Efficient, helpful and smiling. The other is the security staff who also very kind. The room is unique and modern. Maybe people said its small but hey it's Hong Kong. You'll get free mini bar items, free Internet, free breakfast, free laundry, free happy hours drink. The price is quite cheap consider the location and freebies. Will come back again :) "

"For my needs, which were to seamlessly move from the HK airport express Central station to a good night's sleep to the Central ferry terminal in the morning, this hotel was a gem; the location was perfect. I took a taxi from the train station, but easily could have walked it (which I didn't realize - the ride was less than 5 minutes, more than half of which was a long detour to get to the other side of the street; The ferry terminal was about 10 minutes walk, very convenient. The value was great (for Hong Kong, that is). I was just sleeping one night, so didn't get to test the facilities, but the desk staff was prompt with a converter plug for my medical device. My only suggestion for improvement is to mark the entryway and the way to the front desk more clearly (even when I arrived, just going in the door and taking the elevator to checkin was not very clear. All in all, really solid value and a good experience."

"The location could only be more convienient if the MTR opened into the hotel room door. Take the Airport Express (24 min) to Hong Kong Station (seemlessly joined to Central Station), look for the blue line toward Kennedy Town and Sheung Wan will be the first exit only a couple minutes away. Exit via the Wing Lok (A2) exit, turn right and you will be looking directly at the 7/11 and just beyond Homy Hotel Central. Wing Lok supports a variety of small restaurants, merchants and great sites. Should you want to go to the ferry docks, exit the hotel turn right, turn left into the small alley past the MTR, turn right on Des Voeux Rd (major road) walk down to the crossing point and cross the street, turn right, cross the next street (Rumsey St.), turn left and walk toward the water, do not walk across the street, but take the stairs on your right to use the skywalk. At this point if you walk along the water you will encounter all the major piers. (15 minutes) The bathroom lighting was not the best, the room was small, we were safe, the room was quiet, and it even had windows and AC that worked. If you are looking for a great value and don't need constant pampering, this is a great find."

"I have stayed at Lan Kwai Fong Hotel three times, both on family and business trips, and I plan to book it in the future. It is a reasonably priced and service-minded place in a central location. (More than half of my meetings were within easy walking distance.) Although it is in the Central district, it is sheltered from heavy traffic and hectic crowds but close enough to walk to all main destinations, and to the Metro and airport express train stations. The antique shopping district begins immediately behind the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. (Despite the name, this hotel is not in "Lan Kwai Fung", which is a sort of Alcohol Alley about a ten-minute walk away). It takes about 15 minutes to wak to the airport express trains, taking Wellington Street to the pedestrian bridge and following it to an escalator in the IFC Mall. The train takes 25 minutes to or from the airport. One very nice feature of Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is a self-service lounge on the fourth floor, partly enclosed and partly open, with free coffee, tea and Wi-Fi. (Internet in the rooms is not free.) Pleasant place to work. I had some problems connecting to Wi-Fi in the lounge, which the staff tried to be helpful about, but with mixed results. Rooms are small, because it's Hong Kong. Each floor has one "mountain view" room, which is what you might get upgraded to, but in my opinion it's not worth paying extra as the rooms are the same size. If you have trouble walking on steep streets and sidewalks with steps in them, you will probably want to stay somewhere else, unfortunately. I recommend the French bistro in Pak Tsz Lane Park, which is in a hidden courtyard between Aberdeen, Gage, Peel and Hollywood. "

"We stayed in the Butterfly on Wellington for one night to break the journey from Melbourne to Paris. On our previous visit to Hong Kong we stayed on the Kowloon side at Mongkok, so we picked the Butterfly on Wellington because of its location on the Hong Kong side, and good reviews on TA. The location is excellent. It is easy to get to and from the Hong Kong Airport Express Station by taxi or walking. We went taxi to the hotel for a cost of 40HKD, but walked back the next day with our cases without any problems. The hotel is within 100 metres of the Mid-Levels escalators. The check-in process was smooth, and we were given an upgrade from an Executive room to a Butterfly Suite on the 2nd floor. Although close to street level, it was quiet and we heard no street noise in the morning. The room was large (it was a suite) and very comfortable. We were allowed to have a late checkout until 2pm, and then the hotel stored our luggage until we were ready to take it to the station in the evening. Both the reception and door staff were friendly and efficient. The Butterfly on Wellington is definitely value for money if you want a comfortable room in a great location without paying for all the other 5 star items you might not use, e.g. gym, pool, lobby, bar, etc. There were many restaurants around, so breakfast was not an issue. We would definitely stay at the Butterfly on Wellington the next time we pass through Hong Kong. "

"How should I begin to write? This is not my first time staying here. I'm very picky person and has stayed in many five stars hotels in Hong Kong but none others could match this one. That's why I keep coming back. This trip to hotel I forgot my Mobile phone on the taxi. Soon after I checked in I realized I've lost it! The concierge kept calling my cellphone and finally reached the driver after 4 hours of attempt on calling the driver. They managed to get my phone back the next day! Everything in this hotel is spotless, the cleanliness, the check in and out process, they even walk you to the car and greet you upon departure. Oh and the room that I was upgraded was very spacious. All this make me feel like coming back home every time. I visit Hong Kong. What more can I say?"
