"The location is great - a stone's throw away from the Central MTR station, and Hong Kong MTR station, and also the ferry piers. The rooms, as expected from the hotel name, are squeezy. For two people to sleep on the one bed, it can get a bit uncomfortable. "

"we stayed for one night in the ywca hotel garden view on a weekend break from macau. it's not easy to find a nice, comfortable, clean and affordable hotel in hong kong but this hotel is just it. we asked for a non-smoking room and it was actually a non-smoking room, usually in hong kong it means a room stinking of tobacco mixed with anti smoker spray. the rooms are not as small as most of the rooms in hong kong, they are very clean, very bright due to the great windows facing the harbor and the views are stunning. the front desk staff was very efficient and friendly. would definitely recommend to stay here if you are looking to spend less then hkd 1,000."

"Was catching up with work during my long stay in Hong Kong at 2 MacDonnell. While it is sure a bit off the city center, we WALKED to the Central and Admiralty MTRs instead of taking the shuttle or taxis. Taxi fares are inexpensive, ~$40 HKD (~$5 USD) to Causeway Bay for 4 adults+baby. ~$60 HKD to Hong Kong Station with 3 huge suitcases, stroller, and 2 backpacks. There are a couple restaurants across the street and in the building next to Fusion supermarket. The property is right across the street from the Hong Kong Botanical Garden, and close by the Hong Kong Garden on the other side. There's a shortcut to walk down to the city center through the basketball court and children's playground. The Champion Center is ~8 minutes by foot, and has Starbucks and a nice food court. Staff is attentive and friendly. Engineering staff came within 10 minutes on a late Sunday night to help me hook up my laptop to the TV so I can use it as my 2nd monitor. However, there is some mildew in the bathroom and the maintenance people weren't very good with caulking. Otherwise, the Junior Suite with kitchenette was roomy and very comfortable for my 1-week stay!"

One of the staff named "Brandon" and he is super friendly. Efficient, helpful and smiling. The other is the security staff who also very kind. The room is unique and modern. Maybe people said its small but hey it's Hong Kong. You'll get free mini bar items, free Internet, free breakfast, free laundry, free happy hours drink. The price is quite cheap consider the location and freebies. Will come back again :) "

"First and foremost, the staff in this hotel is outstanding! From the porters who stored my luggage all day to the front desk and maids, everyone went above and beyond! Competent sized room for a mid-priced Hong Kong Hotel. Everything was extremely clean and in good working order. Grocery store right at the entrance. Many restaurants and convenience stores within 5 minute walk. Best is the location only a short walk to the Hong Kong/Macau Ferry and very close to Hong Kong MTR Station for fast airport transfer. Sheung Wan MTR Station also close by."

"The location is superb! Exit A2 of the Sheung Wan MTR station is just 1 minute walk from the hotel. 7 Eleven is just few shops away in the same row with hotel. Tourist attractions like PMQ, Tai Kwun, Graham Street Art, Lan Kwai Fong, SOHO and Jenny Bakery (Sheung Wan branch) are within walkable distance from the hotel. We grabbed chances to try classical Hong Kong style breakfast in few restaurants nearby like Shui Kee Coffee (for ham egg instant noodles+ french toast + coffee) , Lan Fong Yuen (for pork chop macaroni + famous milk tea) , Maxim's Palace (for Dim Sum) and Sheng Kee Congee (for Fish Belly + Beef Conggee). Homy Hotel Central definitely is the best choice for travelers who are planning to depart to Macau by ferry. Ticket counter and ferry terminal which located at Shun Tak Centre is accessible by walking underground from exit A2 to exit D of Sheung Wan MTR station. Staffs are very helpful. The rooms we stayed are comfortable and cleaned daily."

"we don't spend much time in the room when we are in hong kong so hate to throw a lot of money away on simply a bed. hotel room was very clean albeit small (thats hong kong unless you want to spend more than a night) lkf kau u fong was perfect for the three of us. staff went out of their way for us all we had to do was ask politely. one minor irritant was the very loud air conditioner we had to put up with the noise all night but we endured. overall very good value and we loved the location, hk mtr 5 minute walk, and public transport makes hk easy to get around. excellent nightlife and dining we love hong kong! we will stay here again as long as we can continue to get the room for less than us per night. we consider it a prime location for not so much money."

"Rooms were well appointed and the hotel was extremely well located. We were able to walk to the cafe district of Sheung Wan (5-7 mins walk) and to shopping mall IFC and Hong Kong MTR station (10 mins walk). However there is currently some ongoing construction and the piling noise begins at 8am each day, so it was impossible to sleep in later. A wonderful stay nonetheless."
