"I booked a pod in a 5-pod room. I must say I was lucky to have very considerate roommates because no one made a sound in that room (no loud snoring). However I felt very uncomfortable moving around and organizing my things because I was extra cautious of the noise that I was making (yes, our room was THAT silent!). I ended up packing my stuff outside the room so as not to disturb my roommates. I stayed for one night only but as I went for a week-long business trip in KL, I had a suitcase of clothes and some souvenirs (in plastic!). And I made a mistake of not segregating only the stuff that I would need for the night. I also happen to check in while someone was sleeping, got back at 12.30am when everyone was sleeping, and woke up at 7.30am when everyone was still asleep :-) I guess I was not prepared for the fact that I'll be sharing with 4 strangers and I was too cautious not to disturb them. Apart from that, I can definitely say: 1. Location is good, around 10mins walk from Bugis MRT (if you take the Raffles Hospital exit) 2. Breakfast was ok, a few treats, noodles, fruit juice and coffee all you like. 3. Value for money - definitely, especially if you just go to you hotel to sleep, and if you don't mind sharing space with others (hopefully you won't have the issues that I had) 4. Cleanliness - no complaints here, the place actually smelled pretty good!"

"This is not a 5* hotel so one should not compare. I had a great stay as always. The receptionists may not smile much, but they are friendly n check-in is a breeze! The standard rooms are not very small or cramp, in fact, is a reasonable size. They provide almost all the basic necessities, except for toothbrush & toothpaste n a mini bar/fridge - Standard room. But the rates are worth it despite its an old hotel. But the location is excellent. A walk to the nearest MRT is only less than 5mins! I have stayed her quite a few times, which i enjoyed staying; more than my current place (having to squeez in a roon with my sister). Not forgetting there is also a food court just behind the hotel n it take a mere 3-min walk! Will be back again n its 1 of my fav 3 star hotel to rest n chill with lotsa privacy. Take note: The aircon temp can be really cold - Which is good! Those who are afraid of the cold, remember to have ur jacket ready. Late check-out i got was only til 12.30pm, never once had 1 or 2pm check-out - Could be due to high occupancy. No room service but lotsa eateries around, so no complains. There's also drink vending machines and free ice machine located on certain floors. - Thumb up! "

"This is my 2nd time to stay here and I'm still pleased with the stay! Just a carpark away from Little India station and away from all the noise of the city. The neighborhood is mostly condos and renovated shop houses, with a snack store just beside the hotel where you can buy goreng pisang (something like a banana tempura). The only down side that I can think of is the nearest hawker opens late in the morning so if you want to have a big breakfast you'll have to take it in the hotel (I have not tried this) or walk around to find an open hawker center (I walked to Bugis' direction until I found some noodle stalls). Overall it's super value for money in my opinion, just book well in advance!! This is not MBS or Hilton so don't expect 5 star service and facilities but you get more than what you pay for (not their walk-in rates though, book in advance). Will stay here again when I go back to Sg!"

"I'm a frequent backpacker so I've stayed in a lot of backpacker hotels around the world. This was a good one i must say as its well equipped and clean. I've booked 1 double bed capsule & 1 single bed capsule for my trip. Double bed was spacious & clean for 2 person. Each capsule is comes with towel, bottle water, a small packet of snack, toothbrush & toothpaste inside the cabinet which most backpacker hotel don't provide. It also has a place to hang some clothes inside, a small cabinet to put your belongings, charging points, a small mirror which was really good and a passcode enable storage for your valuables. My booking also came with a free breakfast - cereal, toast & coffee at the balcony. Toilet has body & hair shampoo including hair dryer (thumbs up for female travelers) and clean. You will need to check in beside the building, NuVe hotel. Staff was friendly. And you can use the rooftop of NuVe hotel for free. Location was great. Overall, I enjoyed my stay! Will be back. "

"my boyfriend and i decided to book this place because it looked pretty cool and we’ve never stayed in something like this before. so i had pretty low expectations for sleeping in a pod. i would say i’m a little high maintenance and like my own space and hate sharing common areas, but this space pod was pretty good. the room was air conditioned well, the pod itself had some fans that could blow (very minimal air into the pod) it did help to use it as a white noise. bathroom had four stalls that had toilets and showers in each one. they were cleaned daily in the morning by a staff member. the bathrooms were not air conditioned so it was pretty hot when you went into that room. the place itself is also only stairs so keep that in mind as well. the location was great. close to haji lane which had cute restaurants, bars, and shops. some negative points i had though was that the bed in the pod was really hard. it was a super thin layer of mattress just on what felt like the floor. the pod itself was pretty noisey bc of the material it was made out of so it’s easy to hear your neighbors. there was also a light in the pod that doesn’t turn off on the fan that is pretty bright if you don’t take the key out of the power. but overall i liked the experience!! would i do it again? probably not unless i was a solo traveler.
