Hotels near Raffles Hospital

Been trying out countless of hotels in Singapore for staycations, as compared to other 5 star establishments, Hotel G is comparable in terms of comfort. Though it is a 4 star property and rooms are rather small, I do not have any major complains, rather I have good feedback to give. Staff: Jacob at the front desk was a man of few words, but he has a smile on all the time and he does his best to impress. He made my 2nd or 3rd (I don't remember) stay with Hotel G much better than my first when it was still named BIG hotel. Rooms: Toilet could be done cleaner and more spotless. As for the room/desk area, no complains as of now. Keep it up! Restaurant: With the introduction of Ginett (I don't know if I spelt that right) The restaurant has been a great addition to the establishment. Just that, breakfast selection feels lazy and bland, nothing special and could be improved. So much potential in the breakfast choices. Overall, there is so much room for improvement even though they are already doing well. Keep it up Jacob and the rest of the staff at Hotel G!

This is a new hotel so everything is clean and tidy. All the staff are helpful, efficient and polite. The rooms are small and okay for a solo traveller. I think they would be too small for a couple. The shower is hot and has good water pressure and the bed is reasonably comfortable. There is a 7-11 and Food Republic (a food court chain) opposite. A taxi rank is at the door and the MRT is 100 metres away. Raffles City is an easy walk as are some art galleries and museums. I would stay here again.

My trip was for conducting medical Check up in Raffles hospital which is few blocks away from the hotel. Plus points of the Strand hotel: 1. Closed to MRT 2. For sahur time, there is a 24hour resto closed by 3. Closed to the mosque 4. Very polite n friendly lady cleaner 5. Old hotel but convenience room, tolet, etc Bottom line: I was happy with this old hotel. Thanks Strand

I was on a Medical evacuation and had to stay some where close to the Raffles hospital. The V hotel Bencoolen is only 15 min walk from the hotel and 8 min taxi ride. There is a construction going on right in front of the hotel but as long as you get a room in the upper level facing the other way you wont hear a sound! The breakfast buffet is very simple and its only 12 SGD but there is also a starbucks and a food box within the 5 min walk from the hotel. Friendly employees and very helpfuld. The rooms are veey clean ans well talen care of. I would stay at this hotel again.

this is my second time at this hotel. i have stayed at many other hotels in singapore, but this one is in a great location. the rooms are new, modern, clean and smoke free. the staff are really friendly and helpful. the hotel gives you easy access to the mrt, restaurants, little india and you can arrange transport to the airport. great value for money. it is also close to raffles hospital- a short taxi ride away.

Beautiful modern hotel that holds heritage. Great location. Convenient MRT. Please kindly pass on my gratitude for the outstanding hospitality which was shown by Marco Caraan. During the staycation, we were able to experience his genuine cheerful services at the Sunroom. Marco greeted us with a warm smile, the service he provided was top. He helped us took a photo which we were very satisfied with and was genuinely sweet with his compliments. Even though it was crowded especially during Andaz Lounge Hour, he never got discomposed and showed sincere dedication in his services. Throughout his long hours, Marco kept his energy and great hospitality, he would still come by to our table and the table next to ours, whom we got to know, to make sure everyone was having a good time. Marco is truly a credit to your hotel and he exemplifies what 5 star service is about. He truly does have great hospitality skills, especially in the way he genuinely communicates.

When I booked the hotel I saw there’s a swimming pool facility but didn’t realize it was an infinity pool so nice even though the backdrop is not as good as MBS, it’s still a stunning view of the city. Staff are very professional and very helpful especially when I requested to deposit my backpack for a month while I travel away and everything was intact and safe. The location is superb and WiFi connection is very good! One of the best connection in the world. The only thing I don’t quite like is the shower and toilet room design are too small. It’s silly to separate them making it harder to go in and out of shower. Lastly the cleaner is quite stingy in issuing the toiletries especially only give one shower gel bottle every day even though I was staying alone in a 2 persons room I booked for 5 nights. The cleaners did not issue standard toiletries. I also have to ask for moisture lotion as well. There are 2 standard water bottles everyday which is very pleasant and nice of the hotel.

I have been to many hotels in Singapore and this is the best so far. It's spacious compare to many with the same value. Not many come with swimming pool with the amount paid as well. It comes with complimentary parking and just located opposite of Bencoolen station, DT21 (blue line). It opened on 1st Nov 2017 so pretty new and some renovation is still on going at time of writing however it doesn't cause me any inconvenient. Orchard, Esplanade, Marina Bay, Garden by the bay just nearby. There are Food Republic and Din Tai Fung next to hotel and do try the restaurant (The Glass Onion) opposite the hotel if you do not want to travel far, the food is quite nice. The only con could be the sound proof however only when you are unlucky to stay next to some people who are not considerate and shouting till 2am which is in my case and the hotel is fully booked thus I am not able to change my room. Will be back if I am going to Singapore again.

This hotel is really clean with decent size rooms, great pool, very friendly staff. It is really good value for money for Singapore, as I got it in a pretty good deal with breakfast. Breakfast is mostly western-style buffet and it is ok, nothing amazing. Some things can run out if you eat late. The hotel is located about 4-5 minute walk from Nicolle MRT station, with last train at about midnight. Taxis are easy to use too. The hotel is not located in the most touristy area in Singapore, but it is also not as noisy. There are a few hotels nearby, an office biulding, hawkers markets just across the road, a few resturants, 7/11 a few minutes walk- so you will see a mix of locals and tourists on the street. Overall this is a good and safe area, and it is about 2 km from Marina Bay so it is all very close. This hotel is good if you’re looking for an affordable option for a decent 4 star hotel in a great location and willing to compromise for the luxury and famous hotel strip experince.

We stayed here on three separate occasions and stayed in all three rooms, Deluxe, Superior and Premier. The Deluxe room spacious and very clean with a heavy oriental décor and the fixtures are dated. The Superior room is very spacious and clean however the decor and fixtures are dated. The Premier room is the best, a very modern theme suitable for business travellers, slightly smaller than the previous rooms but benefits from a host of modern amenities. The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating and the hotel is in a great location with local transportation and food outlets on the doorstep with a short walk to Suntec City, Bugis Shopping area and Raffles City. As for internet connection, this is available via wired connection at a $10 per day charge and a $10 deposit for the cable. Parking is available but you have to pay exorbitant fees. We liked this hotel and returned to it on three separate occasions. A coin operated laundrette is available within the hotel which is ideal for long term stay travellers.

This is not a 5* hotel so one should not compare. I had a great stay as always. The receptionists may not smile much, but they are friendly n check-in is a breeze! The standard rooms are not very small or cramp, in fact, is a reasonable size. They provide almost all the basic necessities, except for toothbrush & toothpaste n a mini bar/fridge - Standard room. But the rates are worth it despite its an old hotel. But the location is excellent. A walk to the nearest MRT is only less than 5mins! I have stayed her quite a few times, which i enjoyed staying; more than my current place (having to squeez in a roon with my sister). Not forgetting there is also a food court just behind the hotel n it take a mere 3-min walk! Will be back again n its 1 of my fav 3 star hotel to rest n chill with lotsa privacy. Take note: The aircon temp can be really cold - Which is good! Those who are afraid of the cold, remember to have ur jacket ready. Late check-out i got was only til 12.30pm, never once had 1 or 2pm check-out - Could be due to high occupancy. No room service but lotsa eateries around, so no complains. There's also drink vending machines and free ice machine located on certain floors. - Thumb up!

I visited Singapore to attend a Faculty Seminar at the National University of Singapore & used the spare time touring. The nearest Bras Basah MRT station is just a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel and the next Dhoby Ghaut MRT interchange is only 1 station away which conveniently allows transfer to all 3 MRT lines. Eateries among others such as American fastfood Wendy's and Kopitiam offering a wide variety of Asian and Western food are just within the hotel vicinity. Since the hotel is situated in the heart of the Singapore business and shopping district, places of interest are also near such as the Singapore Museum, Orchard Center, Raffles Place, Esplanade, Merlion, etc. The hotel room may be small but not tightly contained. The room is reasonably designed and conducive, with adequate in-room amenities such as lcd TV, open wardrobe cabinet, hair dryer, electric water pot, refrigerator, landline telephone, electronic alarm clock, & bed side control of the lights and aircon. Hotel safety and security is adequate with the issuance of an access card that serves as an elevator pass & door room key with the provision of an electronic safebox inside the room. Everyday room service kept the room and bathroom always clean and orderly. Bathroom hot water is available and water pressure is excellent. There are few TV channels with the lack of popular cable channels such as HBO, CNN, etc; whereas there are limited good English programs. Had a comfortable sleep in bed and a pleasant stay in this hotel with a good and clear window view of Bencoolen Street & would definitely book here again. -Professor LEE MARK

This is my second time staying here. I booked a doubled room this time instead of twin room. The room size was just right but small compared to the twin room. There is cold drinking water and sparkling water that are available in the hotel. The staff were great. As for the location, it is closed to Exit B of Bugis MRT (Blue and Green line) and about 5 to 8 minutes walk. There are shops and restaurant around the area. From the MRT exit, you can see Raffles Hospital and walk straight. Behind Raffles Hospital, there is a hotel and also another building called DUO Galleria, which also has a lot of gourmet restaurants. You can see 7Eleven and Dominos when you walk from the MRT to the hotel. There is a mosque right at the end of the hotel block. What I appreciate is that the location is not far from the main attractions, Bugis Junction and Bugis Street. They are about the same location as the Bugis MRT so you can reach the destination for about 5 to 8 minutes. Overall, it is superb!

My first visit to Singapore and so did not know this hotel or any other, was very happy to stay here and would stay here again, most of my normal travel is in the middle east and in 4 and 5 star hotels, this hotel does not have the extra trappings (or charges) of a 5 star, but apart from that it could be a 5 star. The staff are all lovely and would like to mention Christie / Kirsty ( I was given two versions of her name) who works on reception - always a "good morning" to begin the day, and a few words of welcome in the evening, plus offers of umbrellas if it was raining. A lovely person, and very professional. I also appreciated Mr Hata Amin the GM sitting down with me and asking me about my stay and if there were any things that might be improved, I couldn't think of anything. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very good and the choice of local or western food is a good idea, this was a nine night stay, though I did also eat out of the hotel some evenings Finally the hotel is very reasonably priced for Singapore, so, taking it all together this is my choice of hotel if I get to visit the place again, thank you to all at the Hotel Clover and I hope I get to visit you again.

Well, when booked this hotel I actually didn't realize there are two Bencoolens there: the hotel and a "serviced apartments" which I luckily booked. We got a 2-bedroom (plus living room) apartment, with complete kitchen and two bathrooms. The apt is little bit shubbed and some ceiling paint would help, but all the rest is very good: spacious, clean, comfortable. The kind-of-buffet breakfast is very basic, but if you are not too spoiled you will not leave hungry. The real advantages are: very good location (the taxi stand in front of the hotel, MRT station is less than 1 min walking, main attractions are in 10-15 min waling distance), the pool (including jaccuzi and toddler's pool) and kids playground on a top of the 12th floor, nice patio on the 5th floor. My conclusion : very good accommodation for budget famiky travelers!

Santa Grand is a small hotel at a great location at great price (promotion price, as compared with hotels in Singapore). The hotel is new and very clean. The room is very clean and the cleaners mopped the tiled floor in the room keeping it very clean. The room we got is small, however sufficient for us. It has all necessary amenities (safe, fridge, LCD TV, hair dryer, kettle, Wifi, etc). We saw other bigger rooms in the hotel. There is a bus stop behind the hotel, about 3 minutes walk, which will take us directly to the Orchid Road (stop at Dhoby Ghaut, Somerset, Orchard Stns). Along the road in front of hotel, there is a bus stop about 3 minutes walk which has buses to talk us to China town, etc. The hotel is about 10 minutes easy walk to Bugis Station where Bugis Junction and Bugis Street are. Along the way, you will pass Raffles Hospital which has a food court at ground floor. Walking further 10 minutes from Bugis Station will reach Sim Lim Square. Coming back from Orchid or Chinatown on bus will stop at the bus stop right in front of the hotel, across the road. All staff we have encountered are friendly and helpful. The lobby is small and always packed with hotel guests, however not a problem at all. The cafe in the hotel offer reasonable food and breakfast. They always keep the cafe clean and neat. During breakfast time, we noticed they were consistently keeping the place clean (wipe the tables, etc) and covering the food trays (when guests left them opened). An excellent place to stay. Will definitely stay again if price doesn't go up.

Location is good for being close to Sim Lim computer centre, Bugis Market, Raffles Hospital Northbridge not far from L ittle India and Mustafa 24hour Centre and Orchard Road. Relaxing as it is close to everything. Friendly and Convenient as there is a pool and breakfast all day-night restaurant and is part of Albert Court Village with many restaurants. I did not give a perfect score as the cleaners forgot to replace things during my long stay (9 days) and breakfast while of good qualitity lacks variety and is mainly western, but almost never has fried eggs; mainly boiled eggs. not major problems.

We booked the hotel for our 4-day trip in Singapore. It was very easy to find. We took the train from the airport and did not encounter any concerns finding the hotel. The signage outside the building was exactly as it was shown in Agoda. When we arrived, we found it easy to find out what to do since directions were indicated on the first floor of the building. Guests can rely on the green signage outside plus there's a sticker that says "85" on the glass door. We took the lift to the 2nd floor and when we showed the booking print-out from Agoda, we were checked-in rather quickly. Our room was on the 6th floor, so we were instructed to pass through the 2nd floor all-the-time on the way up since an access card from the staff is needed to go up. Location is superb being very close to Suntec City and Bugis. There's also a ton of food places within a 3 to 5 minute walk from the hotel. Staff was always ready to help. Bed was just the right size for two people, though we wished they provided two single blankets instead of one big sheet. We also didn't ask to change it, so we made do with what was provided. We can sometimes hear sounds (either voices of people speaking from other rooms or sounds coming from the pipes, maybe for their toilets & water system). TV standby blue light was impossible to turn off, so we had to find a way to cover it. The cleaning lady was superb, she was so nice and even reminded us that she hasn't given us our complimentary bottled water. It's a good place, considering the price, for a place to sleep and take a bath.

There is a Queen bed, AC, Water heater plus shower, Water closed, TV Cable. 4. Lift 5. Near Kampong Glam & Masjid Sultan & Masjid Malabar 6. Near Halal Foodstall (Nasi Padang, etc.) 7. Near Bus shelter 9. Near Bugis MRT station about 700m & Lavender MRT station about 600m 10. Pleasant and helpfull Staff 11. There is a tree in front of hotel (our room), so we could hearing bird twitter in the morning, always. 12. Azan (Athan) is clearly heard from Masjid Sultan, so we never left behind jamaah shalat. CONS: 1. TV Cable just a few channel, about 6 or 7 channel, no children channel 2. No Water Closed sprayer ------------- We will stay again in this hotel if went to Singapore.

I stayed in this hotel for a week. The room itself is new, clean, not too big (but enough) and you get free wifi in each room. Very good location, just 5 minutes walk to bugis junction and MRT, 2 mins walk too nearest bus stop. There's minimart, fast food restaurant, cafe, local restaurant nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful, when I told them that the hot shower in my room wasn't working, they kindly offered to upgrade my room for free. The breakfast was great too! Will make sure to comeback again in the future. Thanks for your hospitality, Hotel Kai.

The bed sheet in the room is not that clean, and the bathroom is enough with shower gel provided. The silver lining of this place is, it's close to bugis junction and MRT station. Also worth to mention is that it's really close to the 24 hours Seng Huat Coffee House that offers all the good food of Singapore. For those who are on a medical trip to Raffles Hospital, it's just 3 blocks away. and for those who are looking for a drink, Atlas Bar just around the corner.

walking distance 5-7min to metro station. I didn't have to use bus to get anywhere else. The metro covered most of the attraction: marina sand bay, vivo city to sentosa, etc. Room was clean and roomy (compared to other hotel). We used to stay at B.Hotel and man, it barely has room to breath. Affordable price with great location together with good staff. It doesn't have toothpaste and toothbrush so you gotta bring your own. We don't have restaurant inside the building but just downstairs we have Malaysian/ Idian food corner. Walking 3 min, you will get to Tekka food court with Indian/Chinese/ Jap/ Korea/ all kind of food. It is good and cheap, even though the quality might not be as good as Michelin 1 star booth or Tian Tian chicken rice but it's 3min away so who cares. Overall will stay here next time until I can find a better place with the same price, and I doubt it could happen in this lifetime.

In general, I had a good stay at this hotel. There were a few misses which I thought the hotel could address as little touches make a difference to the experience of a hotel guest. The location was great. It is surrounded by plenty of good cafes and restaurants, many of which open till late at night. There are also many interesting shops for one to duck into. A short walk away is the MRT station and a couple of busy malls. The staff are hospitable and friendly. Every request was met in good spirit. Free snacks and tidbits at the lobby is a great idea. The breakfast buffet is very small but the kitchen provides two hot selections every morning and you can ask for a second helping. I had a room with an outdoor Jacuzzi tub in the patio. The hotel provides a choice of four different bath salts which I felt was a thoughtful gesture. The tub is made for couples and we had a good soak in there. We also ended up showering in the private tub outdoors because the shower is separated from the toilet only partially by a glass screen. The first day I took a shower in there and it ended with the toilet area getting extremely wet. The room was very tiny and there was no wardrobe only some hangers and hooks on the wall. There isn't anything in the bathroom to hang up your wet towels after a shower. All in all, we had a delightful stay but our room (202) was too small for a couple. Would fit a solo traveler better.
