Once you get past check-in, the experience gets infinitely better. Asked ushers at the lobby for club lounge check-in but was informed staff are busy attending to other guests, and that I check-in via normal counters. OK, so I queued at the lobby, and later on was advised by the receptionist that I should check-in at the club lounge and managed to call someone to assist us. It seemed the ushers didn’t know how to handle club bookings. After that, check-in experience at the lounge went smoothly. Room was fantastic, well maintained and clean, and beds comfortable. Club lounge experience was excellent, food and service were good. I would say this is better value than more expensive club rooms in Singapore.

Staff is forthcoming. Clean room but not much of a view because it is block by the library opposite. But at least it is pool facing and no afternoon sun It is central of city with shopping mall and walking street, drink bars and restaurant within 5min. Parking is not free. Valet on booking basis, and if so, $15 a day. Might be $25 if overnight. But Concierge might let you park for 30min depending on space. Breakfast is a must. They serve nice nasi lemak.

Stayed there for 2 nights and we found the place to be well connected to all the sights in Singapore. Facilities are clean, room sizes are huge by Singapore standards and staff provide excellent and personalised services. 3 mins walk from MRT station. There are plenty of malls and shops within the vicinity. Highly recommended

• We stayed at the InterContinental for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel staff was kind and attentive. Our room was quite comfortable and well-appointed. The bed must be one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfast spread was extraordinary and we enjoyed long, unhurried meals to start each day. • The location is great as well. The hotel is connected to the Bugis shopping area and a quick walk to the subway as well. You may be interested in visiting the National Library right across the street to add a literary touch to your stay.

Stayed 2 weeks at Intercontinental Hotel Bugis for business. It’s one of our favourite hotel. The hotel is well maintained even though the room especially the bathroom is a bit dated and needs a facelift. There’s still room for improvement on cleanliness, like the corners and edges need to be vacuumed better and floor area that’s not carpeted needs to be mopped, but these are just small things, the room is very clean overall. The only thing that was rather disappointing was the food at the lounge restaurant. It was overly salty, so much so that after a couple of spoonfuls it was just inedible we had to tell the staff. They very kindly offered to prepare the food again for us. It was still on the salty side the second time round but at least it was edible, when drinking water at same time. Everyone is very professional, courteous and helpful, from the concierge, front desk, restaurant to the housekeeping personnels. I’d like to especially thank Jeff from the concierge who looked after us so well, Ronnie and Safiq from the front desk who took care of the problems (toilet and extractor fan not working) promptly and Eddie from housekeeping who cleaned the room well and respected our personal items.
