“Clean and chill place to stay”
Good value for money and great location. The rooms are small but clean. There is free coffee/tea and water in the lobby. Staff is also very friendly and helpfull.

“Safe, Clean, Excellent Price - Recommend”
Finding a cheap hotel in Hong Kong feels like an Oxymoron. Especially in a central location. Woody House is 1. Central: The hotel is just minutes from MTR, about 5 min ride to Central Station/IFC and 1 stop to Causeway bay. 2. Clean I mean, its just a small room and a bathroom but in HK this is good 3. Cheap I had to stay for over a week for a conference. There are seriously scary hotels in some Mansion block in Kowloon - STAY AWAY from those. This is a gem, safe, kind staff, close to many great restaurants and a lively market. Cool cafe's to work in nearby. Overall: excellent value for money. Know that rooms are tiny - though in HK I've seen worse? Big windows make it better. Plus, they often surprise with breakfast downstairs and free coffee. Staff are so kind. So yeah, I mean its tiny but as a solo traveler or for business its a great find in HK!

“One of Hong Kong's Best Values”
Woody's is one of my two top go-to hotels in Hong Kong. In terms of price, location and value - can't be beat. Wan Chai is VERY central, whether for tourism, a trade fair or conference... just steps away from the metro, easy to get a cab and a great neighborhood with an historic local market and decent dining options. Rooms are clean, hotel is safe and staff kind and attentive. Cost unbeatable - other places in Causeway/Kowloon at this price are NOT the same standard. This place is safe, clean and professionally run. The only caveat is they used to have great (free) espresso machine in the lobby, it was really good coffee. The machine is still there, but they recently changed the beans. You may like it. I miss the old blend, was the best in the neighborhood.

“Great value for a barebones budget”
The room is small, but just enough for most average Asians. Anyone over 5'9" may have a tough time because the bed has not much leg room. If you just need a place to sleep and will be spending most of your time outside, it's a good choice. The room heater doesn't seem to be working though. Free coffee, tea, and water for your entire stay. A cartwheel and a hop a way from Queen's Road where all the stuff happens. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Book if you are a solo or couple traveler. Do not book a single room if you are not traveling alone and not comfortable sleeping in the same same bed with your travel buddy. Overall a great value. Will definitely book again if I find myself needing a place to stay in Wan Chai.

“Simple, clean, all you need”
I had a really good time at Woody House. Staff is super friendly, there is complimentary coffee and water in the entrance area, sometimes special drinks like milk tea on the house, wifi works great, water pressure in the shower is top, I had a big window, and most importantly: it’s clean. I was also impressed by the good noise isolation. Sometimes you hear water running but I didn’t hear other travelers at all. Sure, the rooms are small, but that’s Hong Kong for ya. And you really don’t need more if you plan to be outside all day exploring (or working, like me). I would book again. Def recommend!

“Cozy place at reasonable price”
The location is quite convenient, it’s close to Wanchai MTR station, next to the Blue house. There are may restaurants nearby. The room is clean, staff is nice. There is no toothbrush in the room.

“Good enough for short stay travelers ”
Clean and great location. Tea, coffee, water provided downstairs in the reception. But the room is too small. Two guests booking and staying in room but one chair and small table provided that cannot enjoy takeaway in the room.

“Great stay, would choose it again ”
I had a comfortable stay at Woody house: the location is great, bed and pillow are comfortable (although the bed might be too short for tall people), it’s quiet and good for a short stay.

“Above expectation ”
The room may be small, but it's fully equipped. The staff is excellent kind patient helpful. They even let me store my bags during the day as I walked around the city and it was easy to retrieve them at the end of the day. I usually stay in much higher priced places in Hong Kong and I'm rarely in the room. This place is so perfectly located has so many interesting shops around it's Location and even has a convenient place to sit outside and eat food that you may have purchased right around the corner not only do I recommend it. I will stay here in the future.

Lovely little hotel in wan chai area which is on Hong Kong Island , nice peaceful setting but 5 minutes walk to hustle and bustle of all trams , food spots and subway. Room was great and clean with good shower /toilet combo.. the room is small and so is the bathroom but at this price that is what you get in Hong Kong I believe. Free coffee & tea was nice and staff really nice and friendly. Would highly recommend recommend a stay a Woodys House.

“Great Value and Service, but Cleanliness Needs Improvement”
My wife and I recently stayed at Woody House in Hong Kong. The location was excellent—conveniently situated with easy access to transport, shops, and attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very welcome. The facilities were also quite good, offering everything we needed for a comfortable visit. However, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. We expected a higher standard, and this aspect detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience. Overall, while there’s room for improvement in terms of cleanliness, the great location, helpful staff, and decent amenities made our stay enjoyable.

“Excellent Location and Value – Triple Room a Bit Tight”
Great location and a very good value for our trip to Hong Kong. The room itself was extremely small for three people—it felt quite uncomfortable, as we couldn’t fully open our luggage. The beds were short, and the double and single bed were placed too close together. The air conditioner also blew directly onto us, which made it a bit too cold at times. The bathroom was quite large, but the usable space inside was limited. A towel rack would’ve been a helpful addition. That said, the location was excellent, and the price was great for the area. We had a quick peek at the double room for two people, and it looked much more comfortable—so the triple room might just be a bit cramped in comparison. The staff were friendly and allowed us to store our bags after checkout, which was really convenient. We’d stay again, but probably in a room for two next time.

“Value for money, excellent location”
Splendid location, in a quieter street with eateries, Wan Chai Market and 7-Eleven close by. For runners, Bowen Trail and Wan Chai promenade is less than 20mins away. Room is basic, but has sufficient - soap, shampoo, towels, front desk also gave me a toothbrush. Coffee, tea and water at level 1, with the ocassional surprise of a small bite and homemade juice. I stayed at level 5, water pressure was great, no sewage smell. Toilet is cramped though - might knock a few elbows along the way. Otherwise, it is as value for money as it gets!

“Great value budget room for quick stay!”
I booked a budget single room for a quick stopover in HK. Whilst the room and bathroom are small (as expected being budget sized!), it does include everything you need for a very good price given the location. The hotel is right next to the historic Blue House, one block away from buses and 5-min walk to the MTR station and trams. You can walk to the local markets one block away, and be in thick of things but without all the noise and crowds. Exceptional value for this location - if you're staying longer, suggest a bigger room for more comfort. For a quick stay, suggest a budget room but ask for a quiet room (I was placed next to the water pipes). In general though, the hotel is quieter and better soundproofed than most other budget hotels in HK - I didn't hear the neighbours at all!

“would definitely stay again”
after hearing horror stories of hostels in a certain building in tst, i found this place which wasn't that much more pricey for an individual room and toilet. it was quite clean, albeit not spacious (but that's hong kong i guess) and came with a tv and fridge. location is also great with a short walk to the mtr and bustling streets and shops all around. will definitely stay again next time im in hk! con: there is a slight foul smell everytime the sink tap runs for too long

“Nice stay ”
There is no real downside here. The rooms are clean, the wifi okay and you can grab a free coffee in the lobby. The prices fluctuate quite a bit. For 318 HKG, I think it's a good bang for your buck.

“Woody I stayed 52 days in room 2201”
I was glad that they followed my wish and placed me in room 2201 which is the top most floor as I have requested a top floor room. The room was clean. The location of the hotel is convenient to walk to things in Wanchai. It is just behind the heritage blue house. One of the cleaning lady with glasses I think she is the best because she kept knocking on my door everyday to make sure that I got enough supplies in the room. The other one without glasses and the taller one she is not very good because she always have an angry looking face. Her face is grudging looking. The room is clean. But the toilet always have sewage smell coming out and the sink when you turn on the tap always when water rushes down then will have a foul smell coming out from the toilet sink. I am used to it after awhile but it is never pleasant. And the drain hole on the floor when you take a shower will always have foul smell coming out too! So the toilet always have sewage smell and foul smell. Also when you take a shower the water never drain fast enough so you will always have a pool of water beneath your feet. The 22nd floor is quiet. The guests on that floor did not make noise during the night. But there were occasional door slamming from guests that I heard sometimes the door slamming woke me up. I could not hear noise from next door neighbour but often if people talk in the corridor in front of the lifts then I could hear them. In general it was ok and bearable. The worst was the toilet smell actually and the sink smell. Owners were helpful when I could not enter my room one night and they rushed back in to help me open the door at night much appreciated thanks. People downstairs are sometimes friendly depending on who it is. The one with glasses that usually works at the front desk at night that guy was very friendly and talkative and I enjoyed chatting with him he is very friendly to the guests.
