Novena hotels & places to stay

We stayed for 5D/4N in a 30+ sqm Family Room, bigger than most hotel rooms in Singapore. It has spacious T & B with bathtub, complete toilet amenities, hair dryer, coffee making facility, laundry basket, safe, huge cabinet with hangers, LED TV, iron and board, room slippers and all those small knick-knacks. Breakfast: Not included on our booking, but you may opt to add this for a fee. Pool: Yes Parking: Yes Laudry Facility: Yes Drinking Water Refilling Facility: Yes! A big plus points! Bus Stations: Yes. Right in front of Hotel Royal Train Line: Yes. Few blocks walk to Novena and Newton stations. Shops and F & B establishments: They have resto inside the hotel, but quite expensive. If you don't mind walking a bit, you can find lots of choices in nearby malls and stalls such as Novena Square and United Square. All we need was already in those facilities, one happy and satisfied monkey here :-) Bed and Sleep Quality: Bed is comfy. Pillows and linen are warm and fluffy. Hence, good sleep quality. Staff: hospitable and accomodating. On our last day of stay, we needed some boxes for our goodies to bring back home. We tried our luck with the housekeeping and they happily gave us few sturdy boxes for us to use. Checking in and out: Quick and hassle free. Upon checking in, we we're welcomed by smiling staff at the reception. We just showed our booking print out and everything was a breeze. While upon checking out, we just paid our phone calls made by hubby and settled our bill in a flash. Over all, I would recommend this Hotel. We are looking forward to going back there soon! I went to Singapore the other day for a weekend escape with my mom. We planned to try something different by staying away from the hectic Orchard Road to somewhere we never knew before. I checked in internet and found this new hotel, I read the review and was interested because the rates are friendly for our pocket. This Hotel was super clean, the receptionist staff proceeded our booking so fast. In front of the hotel, there were an ATM machine, 24hrs convenience store, and most importantly, a bus stop, just took around 10 minutes to hop into #124 bus heading to orchard road. If u want to take the MRT, hop into the same bus heading to newton or novena station, took about 5minutes to go there by bus. if u want to walk from hotel to novena MRT station, it took approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Other thing that u might consider is the size of the shower room. Unfortunately, the shower room was small, convenience for taking shower but all things will get wet when u shower (like the sink, the closet-no curtain). Also, we could hear other room's noises when we were in our own room. However, my mom and I enjoyed our stay in Value Hotel Balestier :) will come back for our next short weekend getaway because this hotel is value for money and super clean. Really valuable just like its name :)

If you are the kind of person who fancies cleanliness and a tidy room to stay at, Oasia Novena hotel was better than expected in terms of the layout, utilities and cleanliness. It sort of gives you the classy businessman feel to it and the brightness in the room clearly makes it vibrant and lively. At night with the binds down, the night lights give the room a cosy aura to where going to sleep is much easier. If you like the modern day hotel, I definitely recommend to try this hotel as I have enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff and the room attendants' manners were on par with other 5 star hotels. I myself personally would want to book this hotel again if there is ever a need again.

hotel is quite clean and cost-benefit for any traveller including singel, couple, business man or family. i enjoy this hotel and will be stay here again if i have my duty to visit singapore pros - room and baht room is very clean and good for all ages - room is perfectly for two or three person - baht room is quite small but enough for do everything - facilities is enough i.e. key card access to your room, touch lights, tv, silent air condition - find food and accommodation easily i.e. 24 hours cheap good at bus stop, boon tong kee restaurant open around 11am to 4am, two moderate price for buk kut tae foods - hotel is quite safe for lonely traveller cons - location is not close to mrt - taxi do not know this hotel name, but you can tell go to 'boon tong kee balastier' - anyone know this restaurant, hotel locate on the left side of boon tong kee (you are heading to boon tong kee) just 1 minute - no breakfast recommendation for transfer to mrt - can be walked to novena or toh payoh mrt in 10-20 minute but i do not recommend since you have to walk through the hospital, in the night it would be crazy for somebody not comfortable with 'alone in the dark near hospital' - taxi in busy time charging around 8$-10$ between mrt and hotel - bus number 21 or 131 to novena mrt - 10 minutes - bus number 145 to toh payoh mrt - 10 minutes

We've been in Singapore several times, most of the time we stayed in Bugis, Little India, or East Coast. We hesitated to stay here at first, seeing as we're not familiar with Balestier and Novena district. We're glad we stayed though. Right next to the hotel is the bus stop, where you can easily transfer to Novena MRT Station. In the vicinity of this hotel there are Balestier Market (houses lots of delicious hawker food), Rochor Beancurd House (open till 1 a.m.), Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice (open almost 24 hours), McD (open till 1 a.m.), and 7-Eleven. The only thing you should worry about is choosing what you'd like to eat now. Receptionists are very nice and polite, they helped us check in earlier and provided mask (there was smoke haze due to forest fires). The amenities are impressive for a 2-star hotel, such as coffee and premium tea, electric kettles, shower cap, and hair dryer. Housekeepers are nice and polite, too. We always find our room in perfect condition. The bathroom can be improved though, there was a small black mold spot on the inside of the bathroom door frame. All in all, it's well worth the price of the stay. We'll definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel as it is actually a hotel at this rate (not an inn). The room has sufficient space and is comfortable to do work in-room with good internet connection throughout the day. The bed is good and the bathroom is clean enough with amenities. The TV had already been damaged when we first switched it on but was soon replaced when reported after some investigation (so make sure the TV is checked upon arrival). Free breakfast is reasonable, laksa is very nice (can be part of lunch buffet or ordered a la carte separately). This hotel is situated between the Red & Purple lines. We took MRT from airport, changed to the Red line at City Hall and got off at Novena station. You can walk to hotel if have no luggage, otherwise a 5-7 mins taxi ride can be taken.

The hotel is value for money. The location is excellent. Just behind the hotel is the famous Whampoa food market with very affordable prices. The complimentary WiFi in the room is very fast. The staff are approachable and very accomodating especially Edlyn and Jecel(?) who helped as with our luggage's when we left for the airport. They even arranged a room for us facing the Balestier Point, the best view the neighborhood has to offer. The room is always clean and made up every day. Water and bathroom supplies are replenished daily. Shuttle to Novena MRT station every morning is very helpful especially for a group just like ours. This hotel is very much recommended. We stayed in both Fragrance Balestier and Fragrance Rose during our stay in Singapore.(Availability and Agoda Discounts made us shift from one location to the other twice) And we enjoyed staying in both... However Hotel Fragrance Balestier has more comfortable and spacious rooms than Rose. The customer service received in both venues are exceptional and highly respected. Specially Aunty Jessica and Manager Micheal was very thoughtful, friendly and supportive throghout.... Selecting the best suited rooms for us ( as we had few big size luggages, they were kindenough to upgrade the rooms to superior loft and deluxe twin when ever possible) GRAB taxi bookings done by Micheal were affordable. From room boy to manager everyone in the hotel were helpful. Hawker centre, close by offers veriety of chineese food at an affordable rate. Bus stop close by is the easier and faster way to travel than the MRT. Clean Bed linen and Comforting rooms makes Fragrance chain standout from the rest!

Excellent service, especially compared to Oasia Hotel Novena right next door. Cannot commend their staff enough. The room is a little small but well designed. One issue I had was that the guest toiletries were not sufficient. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel bottles are small — not enough for 2 guests. They need to make the bottles bigger or add more bottles per room. The fitness centre is nothing special, but having it open 24 hours is a plus.

Wonderful, Amazing, Peaceful this is the best hotel I have stayed in. I was a little bit concerned when booking this Boutique Hotel with 2 little children but was pleasantly surprised how child friendly the hotel was and the hotel's staff made our childrens vacations extra special the best in the Business. The hotel is situated near the heart of the city yet it’s on a road which is so peaceful. The MRT is about at 8mins walking distance which is also connected to Square 2 and Velocity Malls, United Square Mall which is great for all things kids related is also close. Location wise you cannot ask for a better place. We booked the Executive One Bedroom which was amazing. The Room is artfully decorated with Modern fixtures and a huge comfy King Bed separate living space with sofa. There’s a small kitchenette with Microwave buitIn an oven, full size fridge and electric stove. All the appliances looked new and worked perfectly. The kitchen comes with every type of cuttlery, pots and pans .The Washing Machine/Dryer was high-end and worked great there was even Washing Liquid and Comferter. The bathroom is a little small but Modren and very clean with a stand in shower. The living space has a very comfy sofa a few tables and an extra TV which was great for the kids. The Balcony is huge for a hotel with chairs and a table to sit and enjoy the weather. The swimming pool area isn’t huge but is very clean and enough because the hotel only has like 38 rooms so it’s not crowded at all. The complimentry breakfast is amazing it’s cook to order so it’s always fresh there is a good selection of fruits, beverages, breads and cereals in the buffet area. You have the option of sitting outside on the patio which makes it even more special. It’s not like other hotels where breakfasts are usually crowded and loud. The best thing about breakfast here is the hospitality of Sylvia Chan who is the HR director. This woman is like sunshine and rainbows she’s is such an amazing person my kids abs

Zen Rooms Novena Hotel is actually Hotel Royal. The only plus points are that 1. the location is within food and other amenities (5 - 10 mins walking distance - Novena Station, UE Square, Novena Square 1 & 2) 2. a fairly big room of about 35 square meters Upon check-in, you are only given Wi-Fi access to 2 devices, internet charges are at $8+ per hour. In the room, each guest is entitled to 1 serving of complimentary tea/coffee per day only. Charges apply for additional servings. There are no drinking glasses and no mini bar items. Cleanliness is a major issue. There were food crumbs on the sofa when we checked in.
