"Perfect location in Pemberton - just 2 minutes drive from the small town centre where you have a small bakery, artisanal butter, IGA supermarket and Liquor Baron for those that love your beer/ wine. We bought some steaks and lamb chops and had a wonderful BBQ at the gas-powered BBQ. Bring your own seasoning, meats, veggies but tongs are provided. Amazing wildlife surrounds the property as well - plenty of birds and kangaroos! We also enjoyed walking around the lake, its also stocked with rainbow trout for those that enjoy fishing."

"What a pleasant surprise this place was. On check in the host took the time to give us a layout of what was available to see in the Pemberton area, the best part was letting us know what was closed due to renovations etc. the host informed us the fire in the chalet was already lit which was a godsend as it was cold and raining. We sat in the lounge and just watched the rain come through over the lake, very relaxing. This place is designed for self catering if you don’t intend to eat out, there is a BBQ on the front verandah, hopefully we can use it next time. "

"After 6 years of traveling and living in hotels I haven't left a review until now, I decided to review this place because it is by far the best stay I've had. The property is very well developed offering private jetties, fishing, private Jacuzzi's canoeing, archery, children's playground and probably a lot more that I didn't see, after looking at some of the other accommodation in the area I think this is the best one. The rooms are closer to a comfortable holiday home than a hotel, they are well spaced apart so your unlikely to have any problem with the neighbours, we were also lucky enough to be the only guests at the property. Although food is n/a I gave it 5 stars because we were greeted with a bottle of wine and some chocolates left in our room by the owners as well as them baking us some fresh bread for breakfast also there are a lot of excellent restaurant's in the area. 4 stars for condition and cleanliness, the rooms aren't new however they are maintained and cleaned at a well above average standard. 5 stars for location, although it might not suit everyone this place is quite secluded which suited myself and my partner perfectly. 5 stars for room comfort and standard, The rooms are fully equipped with kitchen spacious lounge room, fire place and much more. 5 stars for staff performance, nothing was too much trouble for the owners, everything was managed perfectly. 5 stars for value for money, although slightly more expensive than others this place is far better equipped. My one regret about staying here was that I only stayed 2 nights, I will definitely return"

"Nestled against the age-old Karri forest, lies this very private, almost secluded accommodation. Charming 2-bedroom chalets with sufficient space for families, come with almost all mod-cons such as a kitchen, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, flat-screen TV, wood-fire heater and running hot water. There are even DVD's available at reception to borrow, to keep the family entertained. The 2 Queen beds were comfortable, and sufficient towels were supplied throughout the stay. The outdoor hot spa/Jacuzzi was a bonus, as we discovered how peaceful it was to soak whilst having a glass of wine, overlooking the magnificent Karri trees ahead. The only sound you could hear was the wind rustling in the leaves, and the odd chirping of birds. There is limited mobile reception, but this is expected of a place with such tranquillity. Pemberton and Manjimup being only 20 mins away, offers good selection of getting fresh produce and also many restaurants and wineries to suit even the most discerning of tastebuds. Thank you to Gavin and Amanda for being such wonderful hosts, and attended to our requests with a very high level of service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scarlet Woods, and highly recommend this place for both families and couples alike."
