We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. It was very spacious and nice for a family of 4. The location was rather convenient but there is nothing much around. Was a bit disappointed that the spa don't provide just foot massage. Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly and helpful. Marco Polo is a great hotel. Its very classy in an under-stated way....its not overtly opulent like many 5 star Chinese hotels. Service is excellent, executive lounge great and the in house Japanese and Chinese restaurants are highly recommended.

I found out that this is HaiCang is a relatively new area in Xiamen, so there is a little distance from city center. It's about 30-40 min drive. If you don't mind the distance, this is a nice hotel. the location is quite good. it takes about 20 minutes from airport, and also 20 minutes to the city center. there is a bus station outside the hotel, so it is quite convenient to take the public transportation. the facilities in the hotel are quite good, it just fits the standard of four star hotel.

There are people who smoke in the elevator and hallway. Rules are not properly followed . Staff should also know how to speak English since this hotel was open for foreigners.

Every trip to Xiamen, Discovery hotel is the only one for me. Enjoyed the room, set up, cleanliness and best of all, the friendly staffs. For this trip, I ventured further into the amenities and tried the massage centre in the hotel. The price is competitive, the service professional! Another thumbs up!
There is a shopping mall right next to the hotel. Room is comfortable and spacious and there are lots of movies to watch in the room. We have stayed at this hotel four times before this stay and with each visit I am more impressed. They have been upgrading the rooms, restaurant ad service. This is easily the best hotel in quanzhou despite its reasonable price.
No air on during the day— it is hot on a hot May Day!! Sitcom controlled by the facility & it is closed during the day. Hard to communicate w/ staff. They speak no English. They also don’t speak fukianese dialect when the hotel is located in Fujian province. It is sign language & they are not happy!!!

We always stay here whenever we go to Shishi. There is a big supermarket beside the hotel, and fast foods and restaurants all over the street. The rooms were spacious enough.
Overall it was GOOD. It is a good idea to come with a tour because there is not much to do in the surroundings. If you are not with a tour it worths to have your own transport to visit the tulou from there, difficult to find a bus or taxi and private drivers will overcharge you. Experience with Xiamen Landscape Neegeen Hotel was good. The room, bed and bathroom was perfect except the cigarette smell though i had requested for a non-smoking room. Internet speed was really fast but not at the corner room, so my best advise is don't take corner room if you surfs the net often. Don't expect much on breakfast...is typically chinese BF.
The best thing about Xiamen Xinyi Hotel is the very very generous breakfast buffet selection however, without any warning, they closed the breakfast area and there are absolutely no decent clean place to eat that is walking distance from this rather ageing hotel located in a not-so-tourist friendly far-off location away from the city center

Just my opinion: -All of the hotel staf should now the english language, as you are an international hotel -Also, you can inproove on the internet connection ....I vas very dissapointed, that that large, conference hotel was with so bad Wi-Fi. -A part from that, it is an excellent hotel. At first I thought this place is very inconvenient but in reality, away from city centre and yet taxi is always available to take you to nice places in Xiamen from CNY11 to CNY80. Kids and my invited Guests all love this hotel. Plus, dining in this 5 star hotel is very reasonable. Spend at least one night dining at this amazing Chinese Restaurant at 3rd floor.
The staff was excellent though I was in a rather foul mood after got transferred to the hotel due to an unfortunate event and waited an hour on the street with a 10kg backpack in the middle of the night. It is new, well decorated, stylish, but a few resturants inside and they are small. I have not try the resturants as they are not look good. But the shopping centre is so close to hotel and have many good choices. Beauitful river view and quite environment. Basically, it is nice and will book again.
