congratulations to the staff of the fishtail lodge. the service is excellent, be it the housekeeping or the restaurant, or the reception. the whole team is very guest-focused and oriented, always ready to help adn go beyond. their food, especially a la carte menu , is exceptional. and they serve the best coffee in town. we were staying in a deluxe double room on the 2nd fl, with a balcony. the room is quite spacious and spotlessly clean. beds were comfortable and teh fridge was working well(not always the case in asia). thanks to all at the fishtail lodge for making a wonderful 5-day stay in pokhara.

We came over here by taking a boat from the other side of the lake and climbing up to the hotel with all of our luggage on our back. Yes, it felt like torture as the way up was about 1.5hrs and we were both panting and sweating when we finally got to the hotel. In the beginning the hotel gave us an old lodge, and we were very upset as we had paid for a new lodge price. Then the hotel moved us to room 108, which was a LOT nicer and we were happy to finally rest. We did not find hot water the first night thus went to bed dirty, however, the other guests told us that we had to keep the water running for a long time in order to get water. So we tried that the next day in the afternoon and had a good shower. The room was clean and new with many comfortable carpets. The best thing about the room is that we were able to watch the mountains from our bed. It was awesome during sunset, very very pretty. And the terrace was great for sunrise. There was a staff especially helpful, he was smiling all the time and gave us details about our hikes the next day. The hotel provided hot drinking water for the rooms. And the sandwich and hot lemon with honey were great in the restaurant.

We stayed in Temple Tree Resort for 3 nights. We planned 1 night after our trek but that changed due to weather and we decided to go back earlier to Pokhara and we booked another 2 nights here which was the best decision ever. Our stay was just perfect. After getting engaged in the mountains we wanted to treat ourselves a bit. The food in the hotel was so good and they even helped us to take the breakfast to our room. We also had a massage there which was very good. All in all, the hotel is perfect and worth the money. We definitely recommend the hotel and we will come back here for sure.

Firstly, The hotel is near the Lake side from where you can take boat ride. Also, the view from top of the hotel is fascinating I.e in the morning to you can see the mountain with glacier of himalayas. Secondly, the food is made beyond excellence the chef knows how the food should be made and guest taste and look better. In conclusion, it is best and must place to visit. Hotel, staff made booking for sightseeing etc as cost outside was same,we started off with paragliding and ended with bat cave. There is renovation in progress for swimming pool and Spa .

My wife and I stayed in the honeymoon suit for about a week even if it was not our honeymoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the week. The hotel provides a good starting point for exploring the lakeside, damside and starting some simple hikes. The hotel breakfast incl. in our room cost was very good. The best thing about this hotel is the very friendly and accommodating staff as well as the owner. Time permitting, the owner is willing to offer some tours to guests... at a lower cost, to less touristy spots and a much more personal experience compared to all the tours you can book at the dozens of tour operator shops in Pokhara. We definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is near Phewa lake and the shopping area. The shopping area is across Phewa lake. My room is on the fifth floor (the first floor is not the ground floor). I have two balconies. My room faces the lake and the mountains. The hotel is nice and clean. I really like the hotel. However, the staff made my stay there outstanding. One staff in particular, Ms Ameera Shrestha, was outstanding. She was able to advice me on my itinerary and politely answers all my queries. She know the hotel well and was able to arrange suitable accommodation for my family and I (we had various arrangements due to needs). On her own initiative, she made checks to ensure that we had the best stay in Pokhara. Well done, Ameera!

Just follow my advice and book this hotel when you go to Pokhara. Trust me and you will thank me. The staff is the best all around in any hotel I've stayed at. Don't even go out to book your tours. The hotel has a travel service and they offer the best prices for all tours. Krishna the travel coordinator , he set me up for all of the site seeing during my 3 days stay here. Breakfast is buffet style and had great masala chai. The entire staff I am overwhelmed by their service and attention that they gave me. I thank them for a outstanding job in treating me like their own family.

Pavilions was everything my wife and I were hoping for. The beautiful natural setting, tucked away in a small village, is a peaceful retreat. The design is tasteful, with wood, stone, slate and other natural materials creating a rustic-elegant effect. Our room was huge, comfortably furnished, and provided us a private view of the snow-capped mountains. The pool was cold but refreshing and clean. The food, spa, and restaurant were also all top-quality. Best of all were the extremely attentive and kind staff, seeing to our every need, knowing us by name, and quickly responding to questions and needs. There were several things that did not work, including the jacuzzi by the pool, the jacuzzi tub in our room, and our room phones. One other area that could be improved is the in-room kitchenette. Towels, a waste basket, dish soap, and a microwave all would have made it more functional. But these are all minor things that did not detract from a very wonderful experience.

This was by far the best hotel we've stayed in Nepal. Its location is near the airport and only a 200nepalese rupees taxi from Lakeside. It was a pleasure to walk in the room and find all the luxuries of a 4/5 star hotel. Its a very spacious hotel with a small shopping alley and even a casino but i think the latter is best avoided. Its one smoky gambling room with about 3 tables mostly filled with locals wheeling and dealing.

My wife is very choosy about the hotels and i am very cheap. 😂 So its always tough for me to book a hotel meeting all the expectations. This time it was fulfilled. The room was big enough, the balcony was good. You can see the world peace pagoda and the mountain and the cloud touching the mountain. You can easily spend a whole day just sitting there with a cup of tea which is complimentary. 😁 The room was clean, the laundry service was good. The swimming pool was clean. Now let mw say something about the location. It was not on the main lakeside road but it was only 3 min walk away. The breakfast was buffet. It was great. On the second day they put "bangali parata" on the menu it was really interesting because we were from bangladesh. And we didn't expect that from the hotel. I asked them and they said its their way of making the guests feeling like home. All the stuffs were super friendly and helpful. Overall they deserve A+ rating and i will always ensure that my FNF stays there while traveling to pokhara. 😁 Thanks Jamil

Rupakot rsort is situated 22 km approx from the city and at a height of approx 1100 mts and initially during our way up to the resort we were bit skeptical of our choice but just as we reached it was worth every penny. The climate up there is way better than in the city, view from the resort and rooms is awesome. The resort is very clean and maintained and was a good entertainment for the kids. We enjoyed it so much that we cancel our city tour to spend family time at the resort only. Panorama restaurant has excellent view and its quite peaceful romantic and you can see the entire city in d evening. Sunrise and evenings at the resort are unmatched. The reception, restaurant and other staffs were very welcoming and helpful. Overall it was a very nice stay and would thank Agoda for the best price and wud surely love to visit again.

So we got the best room, with the best view of the lake & people paragliding down. We finally got hot water & i took a long bath. I read my books on the porch surrounded by the beautiful lake & hills. I didn't even want to get out of the hotel because I was too comfortable. The only minor setback is the location. It will cost you a $5 taxi ride from the town, where all the mini markets, restaurants, cafes are all located. However, they have shuttle bus that goes by schedule to town. Some people prefers to walk back but it is too dangerous without lights at night & the climb is steep, the roads are uneven. This is place is worth the stay if you are looking to pamper yourself. Also, you can exchange your dollars in this hotel because they have a better rate than the one in town.

I stayed 2 days, 1 night in Hotel Tara and I must say my first impression was very positive because of how welcoming the staffs were. They were really attentive and fluent in English. The second thing I was amazed with was the cleanliness of the hotel. It was sparkling clean as it is relatively a new hotel. Rooms (including toilets and bathrooms) were really clean with warm shower and the bed was super comfortable. I had a chat with the owner, who was a real nice guy. He said the beds, along with mattress and curtains were imported from Thailand, which I thought was something that sets this hotel apart from others. Also, they provide a soft duvet, which I prefer over blankets as I generally found these blankets at other hotels to be dusty. I had a magnificent mountain view from my room, which is an added bonus. TIP - If you really want the best view, book the rooms at the top floors, little bit on the expensive than the ones in lower floors but I think its definitely worth it. There is a small balcony with the room, which I thought was a nice addition. Location was great, very quiet and peaceful and just a short walk to local shops and the main street. High speed internet was provided via WiFi, which I had no problems on. Breakfast was simple but adequate and delicious. The girl in the receptions was well informed about sightseeing options. I booked a city tour and a mountain hike with them and they quoted similar prices compared to other retailers at the main street. The car, the hotel provided was modern, clean and comfortable, definitely better than the ones you hire on the streets. Overall, I was really fascinated with the level of service they provided and I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pokhara.

This was my third time staying here...and I have been to Nepal many times since 1999 - I do research in the mountains near Pokhara. You can look up my two previous reviews on this place here at Agoda. This review covers the eight days I stayed here in mid-December 2016. First, Khem (the manager of the hotel) and his staff do a great job of looking after people...they give good, honest advice; (2) this hotel does the basics well: the TV works fine (I only watch BBC and CNN news); internet is good - unless many people on-line (breakfast area is a problem area) at the same time...but for 95% of the time one gets good wi-fi coverage; (3) hot water in the shower is exceptional especially in the afternoon as the solar panels supply more power...your early morning shower before a bus/plan departure might only be a warm one in the late November through early March time frame (because so many people are taking showers and the electricity can only do so much to heat the water)...so take your shower in the afternoon or early evening and rejoice in the hot water (and great water pressure - at least on the first/second floors where I have stayed); finally, they will make up your room every day if you ask them...Rooms are large. Anyway, I think for $20 USD or so (December 2016), this is the best hotel in the $20-$30 price category in Pokhara...Two tips: the restaurant right across the street does a good daal baat for about $2.50 USD...and the Kabab King (five minute walk - ask desk for directions) does the best Tandoori chicken/mutton and naans in town at great price - and lots of food...about $6-$8 USD for giant dinner. The folks at the desk can call them and/or give you directions...easy walk from hotel one block away.

This is probably one of the more luxurious places to stay around Fewa lakeside area. It has a pool, sauna, and spa, which looked fairly nice. Pool is pretty much indoor. Room was large and well-appointed, and had a nice balcony. I think they were in the process of doing some renovations during our stay, but it wasn't disruptive. In fact, it was one of the more quiet hotels of the trip. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful; they helped me to book a bus to Kathmandu and also get some laundry washed and dried very quickly, which were greatly appreciated. Buffet breakfast with a good variety of dishes. As of Nov 2017, it seems everything here must be paid in cash; I thought I had prepaid and actually left without paying for the room, but we got it sorted out with minimal hassle.

Was there for 1 night only before departure to annapurna. Unable to get one after back from ABC, For this hotel is really popular. The location is perfectly located at town centre and next to the lake walk. 5min walk to the bus pickup location. Their staff are really helpful and thoughtful, although I didn't stay there after I'm back from trekking, they still helped me to book bus ticket, and even sent their guy to look for me when the pick up location changed. Overall, clean room, perfect location, reasonable price, best staffs.

Hotel Overview: The Hotel is almost new. Elevator is not installed yet (not a big deal, not tall stairs to take) Restaurant is at ground floor with a small setting. open terrace at 5th floor with a great wide view of Mountain and Lake. Service: This is the best part that I loved. The hotel is managed by a very small team. We were always greeted with a smile. Every time we encountered the front desk manager, we were greeted with vast enthusiasm. They offered us all the possible activities in a appropriate cost ( we also verified outside). They also honestly suggested us what activities we could take or not but not pushing us to buy it. Room service is also very responsive. Manager Rajesh and Jyoti and another young front desk guy (don't know his name) are the people who will be a great key for the success of this hotel I believe. Good luck to the team! Room Quality: Rooms were very open and clean. As the hotel is almost new it seems it is also very well-maintained. Hot water worked Perfectly. Cozy Bed enough seating arrangement at both Balcony and room. Light was too Low I felt.

I booked the room last minute, but it is really a surprise. The location of the hotel is just behind the main lakeside street, which is very convenient and quiet, and you could see the mountain and world peace palace from the room as well. The hotel provides healthy breakfast with vegetables, juice and hot tea and coffee, simple but nice. The room is big enough for even family trip with balcany, full equipped, especially the bath water is pretty warm. The boss and workers here are very polite and considerate, who provide all type of travel consulting with enormous patience. Definitely will come back and recommend to friends. Best choice for Pokhara.

It was like in a dream, couldn’t believe that it came true in undeveloped Nepal full of bad hotels and services. Breath-catching views from multiple big windows, huge and nicely decorated rooms, some interior design details were also hypnotizing, beautiful garden to walk and look around from the hill top, very helpful and competent staffs. I will definitely come back, it was above all my expectations.

The staff is kind as they helped a lot on my itinerary which helping avoiding redundant time, especially during the last day where there was a "Banda" which means Local people having a strike due to political issue. It is greatly influenced on tourism as shops are closed and transport are all prohibited from operating. Thanks to the staff I got catch the plane on time. There is a nice rooftop area where sun bathing and mountain/ star viewing is available whenever the sky is not hazy. The hotel is located at the northern crowded area with a lot of bars, cafe, agencies etc. I would definitely visit them again if I go to Pokhara again.

We booked two types of room, the forest view rooms are the lodges beside the main building, the interior is practically the same, but there will be no view of mountains esp when u get the room on the 1st floor, 2nd floor is ok, rooms are also comfortable. The Mountain View rooms located on the main building and when the weather is nice, u can see the sunrise from the balcony. Hotel also short drive from the Sarangkot view point. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean.

The view from this hotel is magnificent. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very nice. We requested for large lake view room and view is very good. The hotel has a very nice restaurant as well. can ask to sent food to the room. It is really convenient. They used the hotel jeep to sent us to the bus stop. This hotel is the best choice in the trip. The price is also very affordable.

Really impressed with this place, big bedrooms with really comfy beds, decent hot showers, friendly staff and a perfect location in Pokhara. But best of all was the breakfast - quality over quantity here and everything is top notch. They’ll even make you fresh coffee to order. We had a trek booked and the hotel kept our bags safe for 4 days too, which was really convenient. Highly recommended.
