very fun place to stay, the hotel provided all kind of facilities. However, beware when book the hotel with AGODA! we booked seaview room during promotion period, however after we continue to next page, agoda showed promotion room only without further details. At first, we thought is ok until we were there, the staff there told us agoda send them details is room with city view. The room were almost full so we have no choice but to stay. So BEWARE of AGODA promotion, make sure they listed down ur room details before u make the payment.

We had a good long weekend away in Sanya. We wanted to stay at Yalong Bay because friends said the best beach was there. It's a good beach with nice sand. The hotel provides chairs with umbrellas for relaxing. A life guard is patrols and area of the beach to swim in. The first couple of days the surf was too choppy to swim in, but it was fine on the third day. The hotel pools are very nice, spacious, with an area to do laps. We ordered food and drinks at the pool. It was common for the pool and beach stations to run out of towels. I would walk around all the stations asking for towels. And they would just tell me to wait 20 minutes, they wouldn't offer to bring me towel when they received new ones. The problem with the pool area is too much stone and no shade. It feels extremely hot because all the stone and concrete are reflecting heat. The buffet breakfast which was included in our package was ok. There is a decent selection and quality is ok. The coffee was poor. The 399rmb per person dinner BBQ buffet by the pool was very poor value. The food wasn't nice, the staff were unreliable and unhelpful, and the selection was poor. The hainan restaurant called Pinju was great though. Very tasty, and high quality. Really felt like a 5 star place. Much better value totalling around 300 per head including a bottle of wine. You should try the hainan chicken rice and the bridge made of ribs. The staff are polite but their language skills are poor. Most cannot communicate even basic things in English. They also cannot or don't try to understand my Mandarin. They frequently mis-ordered drinks or left out items.

Le Parker hotel was one of the better hotels that I have stayed in over my years of travelling. The location is ideal for folks on vacations as it is within walking distance from the main shopping districts and yet, a slight distance away from all the busy noises. Le Parker hotel was officially opened only about 7 mths ago and the management team has done a great job by providing modern and comfortable facilities to its guests. The room even comes with a bath tub that you can relas after a day of heavy shopping or sight-seeing. The breakfast was worth the visit as it provided a wide spread of both local and international selections. This is unlike other 4-5 stars hotels that I have previously stayed in Hainan. The only setback of the hotel is that it is difficult to flag a taxi. Thereagain, it is difficult to flag a taxi in most part of Hainan. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, good facilities, great service staffs, Le Parker is thew place for you. ps: You can get better rates for sight-seeing packages from the service staffs at the driveway. Sometimes, the prices can be cheaper by almost 25%

I had booked two rooms for our 4 nights stay but was told one of the rooms was still not ready when we arrived, which was post the hotel’s standard check in time. Instead of trying to organise another room for our tired family members to rest, the check in staff Miss Zheng couldn’t careless. End result was that the five of us had to squeeze in one room for almost two hours until the second room was ready. During the two hour waiting time, I have had to call the front desk two times about the second room and again no effort was made to speed up the waiting process or try to organise another ready-to-check-in room for us. I find the check in experience very appalling given it is a 4.5 star hotel. The room we stayed at (room #1040) had a dead crocroach behind the sofa and moulding tiles around the shower area. Other than the above, all other staff particularly the new hotel operation manager ( French lady) have been fantastic. Breakfast buffet was great.

This was my first time in Hainan with my family. Despite the miscommunication, Mr David Zhang and his team able to provide excellent service to resolve the miscommunication. Moreover, they provide ginger tea for my brother who is not feeling well. The room is clean and the cleaner provide excellent service with a smile. Overall had a wonderful stay at Hilton Haikou. Just a note: Those having acrophobia may avoid this hotel as their receiption is at level 35. Also, you need to sign up hilton member (free) to get free wifi.

We've stayed at the Lakeview Premier Family Suite for 4 nights. There were few things that really touched our hearts and made us feel very much at home in Sanya. 1). It was my son's birthday on the 2nd day of our stay. Although I didn't mention it in our booking, a complementary cake was delivered to our room on that day. My children were very happy. 2). We were well taken care of by our room attendants 欧才益 and 林赛梅。They've left us kind notes about keeping hydrated under the hot sun, leaving small gifts for the kids, and take good care of our belongs. 3). My 7 yrs old girl realized that she had left her bag at the hotel room when we were at Sanya airport heading back to Singapore. I called the hotel and spoke Mr 唐永辉 (管家部), he immediately arranged a taxi to send the bag to airport. In the end, we managed to get the bag just on time before our flight. Therefore I'd like to give a big thumb up and thank you for this resort. We will surely be back next time! :-)

During our stay, we experienced a lot of disconnection about the hotel WiFi, and we have to say the WiFi in this “five star” hotel is horrible especially when you are going to stay at the very end room... Second of all, it takes us 10mins to wait for a elevator... slow slow slow... But still we love the location of the hotel, friendly staffs (department of cleaning and welcoming staff), and the room is big.

We stayed in the Anantara Sanya Resort & Spa for 5 days and 4 nights. We booked the delex ocean room . You can look at a beautiful sea view at the balcony. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back in future! Becoz this hotel really gave us a relaxing moments all the times! Also, we never experiences such a friendly and perfect services in other five stars hotel. Their ppl are well-trained and always with smile. Their services showed that they take care of their guests. It made us feel warm. Their room are big, clean and with everything that you expect from a 5 stars hotel. Room decoration is simple, stylish and comfortable. Also, their towel art decoration is amazing ! It was surprised us that they folded the towels into different animal shapes every night! It was really cute and made us happy! Surrounding area of this hotel is nice, clean with fantastic pool and good gym. I love the massage function in the pool. For the Spa, you cant miss it at all! Their restaurants are great. The Thailand restaurant must try there! I love the mince chicken and deep fired fish with sweet spicy sauce! It was so yummy! This hotel gave us a wonderful holidays. We had a very quiet and relaxing moments at Anantara Sanya. We would love to come back if i visit Sanya again. I am also interested their resorts in other Asia places!

We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa and we loved it! the resort is wonderfully natural-like held with a big lake in the center. Of course there are few mosquitos but it was not too bad. it was nicely quiet. The 2-floor villa with living room/dining room area, kitchen, the 3 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a big terrasse on the second floor a lot of space. The pool was clean and big and had the right temperature to chill in total privacy; to get to the beach was a quick way of less than 10 min only. the beach was clean and they offer jet-skiing there and there is a nice but expensive restaurant at the beach, too. We tried the local style hotel-restaurant once and it was not bad. You better love the local food (hainan style, sea food) or else it will be difficult to find something from the menu. it is quite pricy but still ok. the breakfast buffet was good with western and chinese food. once we ordered to our villa western food and that was great. i would recommend that hotel and would go again but there are so many nice places that i might try another place to compare them.

The hotel is near to the airport (approx 15min) taxi ride and it cost RMB 18.80. Go to the main taxi stand for hire if u are exiting from Intl airport. We stayed 3 nights at the premium king sea view room. Friendly staff, cleaned and spacious room. The only thing to improve to again that 5 stars is that the toilet does not have a bidet otherwise it would have been perfect. Huge swimming pool, family oriented facilities, sandy play ground. Try the seafood seafood that worth the money and end your night with live band at the lobby (very good singer) but he only sings mandarin and cantonese songs. The hotel is 20 mins/less than rmb 30 to get to the city. If u intending to go several places, do get a day hire taxi driver that offer RMB 260/day. Taxi service are easy to hail on the street. It was my girlfriend birthday. The staff surprise us with a birthday cake and a sweet note. Thanks for the thoughfulness! We enjoyed our stay in this hotel that u r reading at. Don’t hesitate!

Clearly the best hotel in Sanya, if you can afford the price, you must stay for at least a day! The pool villa is very comfortable with good privacy, it is reliable even if swimming! The breakfast is very delicious, I think it is the best I have ever had in any hotels. The hotel private beach is good, it is not easy for others to enter so it is quiet. There is also a 500m long bridge to the 'sea', best for viewing the sunset.

We went there mid of July for 4 nights. We were not disappointed! We arrived around noon and asked for early checkin, not only was it accepted but our room got upgraded as well, we had a superior view and then got a laguna room. On the last day our trip back had some issues due to the Typhoon, so Hotel gave us late checkout at 3pm. We then had a driver service from the hotel to the airport for 120RMB. Room: Big room with balcony, bath tube and shower. Overlooking the Laguna Pool and the Garden. Very comfortable, no moscitos in the room. The only negative point is that the TV is small and there was no DVD selection as advertised (would have been good during the Typhoon). Breakfast: Extensive selection, really tasty and very patient and friendly service. Nice mix of Western and Asian dishes, lots of fruits and vegetables. Coffee was great and juices fresh. Hotel Restaurant: We had in total a lunch, a dinner and some pool snacks during the 5 days. I will explain more about prices, since other reviews dont cover that part and it is quite intertesting to know (and I love food..) Lunch and Dinner at Lotus Cafe, food was great and reasonably priced for a 5 star hotel. Service and Staff: All the staff were very nice, friendly and we never experienced a negative encounter. Hotel Area: Lobby is amazing, really has the flair of an exotic getaway. The garden is beautiful with many different kind of trees and plants. It is walking distance to some other hotels if you want to try other restaurants. You can also walk to Yalong Bay Square for food but it's quite expensive. It is useful if u look for known brands like Starbucks, Pizza Hut and Honeymoon dessert. Beach: From the room to the private beach it took us less than 5 minutes. The beach itself is very clean and offers enough sunloungers.

This hotel has a Can-Do attitude. I emailed the hotel in advance about my dietary need to eat gluten free. The concern was immediately addressed during checkin. The restaurant manager brought the chef out to discuss with me. I expressed my desire to have gluten free bread for breakfast if I can. The chef didn't know what it was or how to make one. I informed him of recipes are available online. Later, the hotel manager brought up a recipe to our room for verification. The chef made me fresh gluten free cupcakes daily. In reality, I was able to eat a lot of things from the breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh. Each table has a stick with the table number on it. You take the stick to stations where you want fresh dishes done, (e.g.) noodle soup with chicken, seafood congee, eggs prepared your wife, grilled fish, ... etc, then you give the kitchen staff at the cook station your table stick and your meal is brought to you when it is done. The food is freshly prepared every time. The staff recognized me the next day and immediately brought out my gluten free cupcake. They remembered what tea my husband and I liked. We were treated as VIPs. I definitely will be back. Thanks for making our stay memorable.

this is one of the best hotel in Sanya Bay in Sanya. the hotel is big, good location and nice service. I'm pretty happy with my first two times vocation in Sanya because I booked two ocean-view rooms in this hotel. However, due to fully booked I only could booked Leisure room last time and this was a so bad decision. these kind of rooms are face to noisy roads, and the big problem is we booked two rooms are very smelling!!! even we opened the window for few hours but still the same! I couldn't image how come it happened in 5 stars hotel? finally we made the decision to changed the hotel even we lose alots of money. During China public holiday, all of the hotels in Sanya are very expensive, but compare to other 5 star hotels in Yalong Bay, I won't chose this hotel again!

We stayed here for a night to celebrate my birthday. Service was excellent from the concierge to the front desk, restaurant and house keeping. We were checked-in by Lucy and she was really helpful and very welcoming. Even when checking-out, she helped us until we had went inside the car. We had lunch in one of the hotel restaurant and met Stephanie. (I forgot the name of the restaurant) The food was great. We ordered the Hainanese Chicken Rice and Nasi Goreng. Stephanie was very informative and helpful. She even met with us at the sky bar and had a little chat. After having lunch, we went to our room. The room was great! We love everything and enjoyed the bathtub inside the room and at the balcony. The hotel has 3 swimming pools and it was great as well! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back and recommend to my friends and family.

I stayed there last year. I have always wanted to write a good review but keep forgetting until I need to look for hotel in Agoda again. My take as follows: Hotel staffs were very well trained and helpful. Upon arrival, my girl friend was not feeling well so I called hotel staff. They did not have anything for her at that time but they offered to go out to get some medicine. I was impressed because the hotel is rather remote and I suspect there is no shops in its vicinity. When at the lounge we wanted some recommendation on the red wines they served, the waitress was really up to the task. Location wise although it is far from any civilization, I would think it is perfect for people who only want to relax. From our balcony we had a perfect view of the sea. The spread of food at the dinner buffet was great and dining experience was further enhanced by service only fit for 5 star hotel.

rooms are large, views can be great and hotel seems better organised under new management. they seem to understand the importance of getting quality staff. great breakfast, especially if agoda get it included in room price. western buffet dinner is great by western standards, but mainland china is becoming very sophisticated and for this to be value, the hotel needs to watch its standards. the chinese restaurant again was disappointing, but my chinese fiancée does not agree. sanya is doing a lot of very public (for china, that is) soul-searching about sanya ripping off tourists. it is an expensive place, even by australian standards. but it has the workd's best climate and this pullman is one of the best value places to enjoy it.

Although the hotel was almost 20 years but the internal was well kept and comfortable although it was only 4 star (which I personally think should rate as 5 star hotel). The location was also convenient which with easy access to other shopping areas.The service of the hotel is good with friendly staff (which is rare in Hainan Island). If I will to visit Hainan Island again, Maritus Mandarin will definitely be my choice

I think Westin is a nice cosy resort, not too huge like the Hilton/Conrad complex down the road. However, the location is far from everything, except the Duty Free Shopping Center. All the facilities are up to par for a five star resort, except the food and beverage. Only the chinese restaurant is functional but too expensive....RMB 80 for a bowl of noodle. Also, the security within the resort needs to improve because there are outsiders coming in to the resort to check out the resident vacationers.

I have travelled in Thailand and Malaysia best beaches so when I booked that resort, I was very skeptical about everything. I booked it for the Balinese style. What a pleasant surprise to see that Hainan can offer such a great place: clean and spacious room, friendly staff, excellent service , nice garden with lots of trees, excellent Thai food, excellent Chinese-style steamed fish, perfect clean beach with turquoise water, comfortable beach chairs, nobody to bother us. We must have gone during the lowest season as there was no crowd, almost nobody on the beach.. that really helped to enjoy our stay. There are 2 main swimming-pools: the long one had lots of leaves as it is surrounded by trees and did not look attractive. But once inside, it was actually nice. We speak Chinese so we faced no issues. We came only for a w-e and did not do sightseeing, 3 nights were enough.

This was a very enjoyable hotel. There is major construction happening right beside the hotel but was not an issue and could not hear any noise from it. The rooms are luxurious and spacious with wall to wall marble large shower and toilet very comfortable bed with quality linens room was very well maintained and cleaned with towels changed daily. The breakfast was great with lots of quality food choices. A couple of things let this hotel down. More English speaking staff in key areas the chef in the breakfast area doing the eggs had no idea what I wanted when I asked for 3 eggs even after pointing to the examples on show. You either got the standard 2 fried eggs or scrambled eggs.. The pool looks attractive but when in there you can see all the algae on the tiles it needs a clean. Location is good not a lot of English speaking food places around area. Overall we enjoyed the 5 days we stayed here

this hotel is so new that none of the 3 taxis we took know the place and we need to pay surcharge for the cab to fetch us from the hotel because the place is slightly secluded for the time being as they are still developing the area. :) - we reckon that there would be grand plans for the xibudao area. we felt very warm welcome by the staff and very impressive with the sales co-ordinator ms ella. she is very passionate, friendly and helpful. there were 8 of us in transit in haikou for 1 night (in transit from sanya to haikou for our flight early the next morning.we booked 3 rooms, 1 twin and 2 triple. other than complimentary fruit baskets to each room, they offered 2 complimentary breakfasts for the extra beds we added. though at the point of booking, i thought is too early for breakfast. (6am). ms ella and her team took initiative and offered very good advice, tips on where to go for the evening knowing that we have very limited time in haikou. free wifi at hotel lobby & wired internet in the room too. the rooms were really great. big beds, nice pillows, large lcd tv, beautiful bathroom and spacious balcony overlooking a potential river front. but one down side of the bathroom if you are sharing rooms with colleagues. the rooms are blind with glass wall instead of a solid wall for the bathrooms. although, at hojo newport, you can adjust the lighting for the bathroom so that view into the bathroom from outside is masked, so to have some privacy. as the hotel is new, there were not many guests at the hotel yet. so for breakfast, they offered set breakfasts instead of buffet. there were choices of chinese, american & continental sets. this area in haikou isn't exactly a tourist destination, but from the hotel to the city area is about 10 mins taxi ride and cost about (which includes the surcharge). returning from city area to the hotel is cheaper (~30cny). will be nice if facilities are all ready and the weather is good for cycling along the r
