Limpopo hotels & accommodations
Sensational place to stay in every way. We had the full board; and whilst a little pricey, we were extremely satisfied with our decision and what we received in return. The Staff are the nicest people you will meet and led by lovely Liza (Owner) who can not do enough for you. She also has trained her cooks to deliver her Grandmother's recipes so the food is first cla...
Staff is well trained, very efficient. Lovely people, everybody made us feel so welcome. The Chef's food was wonderful. The place is busy all the time, but somehow they keep the premises in tip top shape at all times. Don't know when the staff cleans, it's like fairies with magic wands. When you turn your back, its clean. Lost of wild animals to see. Had a lovely time...
This is the perfect bush get away!!! It is an oasis perfectly tucked away in the bush with animals roaming within the lodge. If you are in need of a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then this will be the perfect getaway. Although we arrived two hours earlier the staff were very happy to accommodate and help us to check in. The breakfast and dinne...
We really liked it because the rooms were big, comfortable and clean, the location sensational and the staff friendly and helpful. But its a grand old lady a bit past her best. The furniture is alittle shabby and the fittings good quality but past their best. The tennis court, and bowls are no longer used suggesting it performed a different function almost like a resor...
With regards to a double booking I did not get any response from Agoda what so ever and lost a considerable amount of money because they could not assist in this regard.
We were told a shuttle would be available from Mall of the North to the lodge. When we called we were told that because we were in the budget rooms we could not be picked up with all of our bags, so we had to walk. We were a group of 11 with 5 rooms booked. When we told them, they then said the driver wasn’t available. We had a great room booked for four people and aft...
We didn't know what to expect, however when we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Tidi who was very nice. No disappointments here. The room was quite cozy yet, very neat and clean. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job throughout our stay. Breakfast was great and everyone was very polite and friendly to us. I have no complaints about this hotel. The location is...
It was once again an amazing experience at Elephant Springs. The staff was absolutely lovely as always. We were only disappointed on arrival as the room we booked with Agoda was not what was reserved and this was not the resorts problem however they have moved us the next day to the correct room and we were really happy & impressed with the resort!
Great value for money - we stayed in room 2 for 3 days - upstairs family room, room was really nice with upmarket feel, view on river was fantastic - about 30 meters from river - with hippo's visible lying in the river at night. Service by the manager was really good. you really made us feel welcome. Self service communal kitchen at main lodge was clean and spacious wi...
We were a family group with older child in her twenties, plus a friend and only really had a weekend in South Africa. Decided a private game lodge was the best option to see animals and it wasn't too far from Jo'burg so was viable drive. The owners met us at the gate and took us on our first drive, impressed with their commitment to the conservation work at the rese...
Amazing villa with a huge open bathroom and living area and outdoor jacuzzi. In my view I would have swung the bed around to face the glorious bush and trees outside instead of into the living room. Also flip flops are essential to traverse the hard pebbles on the bathroom floor which is a bit weird. The game drives were fun, invigorating and informative. Pity the Wate...
The surroundings and set up were delightful and obviously a huge amount of imagination had gone in to creating the ambience of the place - wonderful lot of old and interesting objects, paintings, furniture etc around and they were even kind enough to let my husband have a book from the "library". We had an evening meal that was very tasty sitting outside on a beautifu...
Overall we had a lovely stay. The rooms were beautiful (and big!), the gardens lush and well maintained and the staff were very friendly. The fireplace in the room was also great during the chilly winter evenings. There were small glitches; we had booked a double/queen size bed, however upon arrival there was two 3/4 beds. Additionally, the Cordon Blue we ordered was ...

Very well appointed tents. Friendly staff, good meals, excellent price/quality ratio. Only 11 km away from Pafuri Gate. Nice rock art painting on the property. Since this year, free Wifi in the entire property.
Wonderful location overlooking mountains and valley. Friendly staff, delicious food, knowledgeable game rangers. A great place to explore the Western side of the park, and we didn’t see a single other car in the one three game drive we went on, which is always nice. The lodge was built quite a few years back so a few small things were a tad outdated like the insides of...
I really enjoyed my time here, the staff really takes the time to get to know you, they layout the safari experience for you and check in with you constantly to make sure that you are well taken care of. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, all of the little touches made for a great stay. The game drives were fun, you get so close to the wildlife, it rea...
the most wonderful stay of my LIMPOPO visit over the 5 days. I realy want to go back soon!!!!
This is a fantastic experience. It's more than a hotel - it's an holiday with a difference. The package includes two safari type trips around the game park (morning and afternoon), all your meals and accommodation. The accommodation is excellent. We were treated to a BBQ type meal in the evening, which was social. The staff did an African dance which was fun. All...
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is what made the stay memorable. The setting is also fantastic and the food was top notch. Great relaxing weekend.
Bad check in experience. Was told agoda didn't send booking to hotel. 2 assistance at reception on friday & saturday blaming each other & system. Day 2 i got call to check out after 1st nite. I had to produce proof of confirmed 2 nights stay!! No manager in sight to explain or apologise. Saturday evening got a plate of snacks as apology from f&b manager via offi...
The rooms
Excellent stay at Chisomo Safari Camp. Glamping in tent rooms with hot showers and a good spread of food at meal times. The guides were particularly helpful and damn good at their jobs. Do note that this is a private reserve and is next to Kruger National Park instead of being directly in it. The benefit of which there isn't too many people (and jeeps) on the trails at...
For an all-inclusive lodge, it was worth the price not having to be charged for every meal and all the snacks and drinks from the mini bar. The staff were really friendly and aimed to please the guests. I appreciate the additional game drive at another game reserve since this one admitted to not having the "Big 5". Its guide Colin was very knowledgeable and I learne...
The bed made funny sounds but besides that everything was standard its a lovely place lovely stuff and a very big thank you to Shaka for transporting us through out the weekend at a very affordable price.
Very good option for anyone that wants to see and experience it all if you have a short stop in Johannesburg.
Nice, friendly guest house, good security, very special breakfast. Good value for money. We shall definitely stay over here again when we go through or past Tzaneen.
We had some problems with Agoda booking, which means that it pulls down the overall grade. The hotel and the staff are very good.
On the first night game drive, the game ranger was unprepared, as he did not have a spotlight, which was essential considering we were going on a night drive. We waited around for 15 minutes to get a spot light. Eventually we met up with the head game ranger who gave us a spotlight only to find out later that it did not work and caught on fire. Thus had to return back ...
We arrived late at umVangati House after our SAA Express flight was cancelled, but they still went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful dinner! It was only the next morning when we fully realized just how fantastic the property and it‘s location is. The staff went out of their way during the 2 days we were there to make us feel at home and make the most of the...
Cheap places to stay in Limpopo
Camping area includes all what You need. There is nice big boma with river view, with fire wood, and big strong lights for evening, chairs, tables, clean shower and wc and small kitchen with fridge and warm water for dish washing. Safari tents are very basic but big, includes 2 beds but you need to bring Your sleeping bag. Tents have entrance platform under roof with...
The place is quite wonderful for the money that you pay. Clean nicely sized rooms and a very polite and helpful staff. The lady, Thelma went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. We got to the place at 3am after a long day working onsite and there was a gentleman who still assisted us. Customer service is very good here. Other services quite standard - h...

The most peaceful place , and the staff is very friendly. I would stay there every time I visit the Tzaneen area. Thank you
They don't take responsibility for their mistakes.
The beds are old and hollow.
Lovely place with nice rooms and facilities in a lovely neighbourhood in Hoedspruit. Hot water and coffee in the morning but no breakfast and very bad wifi service so don't count on it. But the owners were very lovely and accommodating and I would totally recommend!
To whom it concerns, I made a booking and paid ahead with Limpopo Lodge. The place was very different from what was advertised. Cockroaches everywhere, linen dirty, broken glass ect ect. I have been struggling to get my money refunded for the past 4weeks. I’m an avid Agoda user but this is scaring me off. Please make sure that I get my refund in full as w...
The owner of this guesthouse is absolutely lovely and welcoming! Our room was really nice with a really firm and comfortable double bed (besides lumpy pillows). We felt that with a few small improvements this guesthouse would do really well. We really missed having a small fridge as we'd bought a few staples with us (like milk) and we were told that a room with a fridg...

We had a very enjoyable stay. We found the room to be very comfortable equiped with a wonderful mixture of modern and antique furnishings. The communual dinning/lounge area with the balcony was lovely and an ideal location to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening sun downer. The entire lodge was clean and the Staff was friendly but not intrusive, as such we found...
The staff was warm and friendly, they made us feel "home away from home" The room was clean and had all we requested. Location was excellent, close to malls, gym, Peter Mokaba stadium. Breakfast was not too bad, more variety would have been great though. We will definitely recommend the guesthouse to our family and friends. Will definitely be back when in Limpopo, hos...
Lovely people, Agnes and her staff are all so friendly and caring! The location is a bit rough to get to, but we where able to get there with a simple, small car. The scenery was breathtaking and there are lots of places to sit and relax. We absolutely loved the fire place on the veranda near the river, where we saw some hippos crossing and a worthog, some antilopes an...
There was this rude man in the kitchen , he served us breakfast with a rude face and Worse part He gave us rotten baked beans
Welcoming staff with smiling faces & approachable. Breakfast was yummy. No noise on premises. U can rely on them. Keep up the good job guys.
Very good all round, needs an aircon in the room, at this price a breakfast at the club should be included.

The accomodation and surroundings were very relaxing. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to accomodate us, even taking us to town and back for grocery shopping, as we didn't have a car. The pool was nice, but the weather didn't allow us to fully enjoy it. It was a little paradise away from home, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone. T...

Place was spotless, staff really helpful. Only negative is the rooms were VERY small & my tv in room 5 kept loosing channel. I would stay there again.
Stayed at @Marula again. Unfortunately this time can see that housekeeping has dropped though so not quite the same as all my other visits. Location is perfect though as we drive form Botswana to South Africa often.

We were in Bela Bela for a road running race. This meant that we had to make several special requests. Our requests were met, but we felt as if we were a burden. If we are only in town for a road race and we have to leave on the same day after the race, we would most likely book another establishment next time.
What an amazing place this is. We stayed in a tent and it was OK, everything that you need is there. Even an air conditioning machine! Unfortunately, at night there was a big storm and it felt like the walls of our tent could be ripped out every minute. We didn’t sleep at all for 3 days.... but that’s nature. The view is spectacular. The restaurant is horrible, please ...
Great comfortable stay and hosts very friendly and good food. Very good value for money!
Not so good....couldnt get in....no cell reception, no 2 point plugs, couldnt charge phone let alone use it. no tv, no WIFI..breakfast was late and for only 1 guest not 2, misinformed on local surrounds info, COULDNT GET OUT AS NO PIN FOR GATE COMMUNICATED!
Its a giod place, well situated easily found. Garage and food nearby but i just wanna say the pool needs to clean there and there i am happy when i left the guys were busy with the pool renovating it. Price is the best i loved that keep it up see you next time
I will be staying at Tamboti Lodge in future. We dinned at the lodge and was treated to amazing food cooked for us by Chef Peter. We travel a lot for business and this is a great comfortable modern Lodge and would highly recommend
Peaceful and inviting. Will keep coming back!
I think they need to invest on bar fridges and micro ovens for the rooms. There was no cutlery on the rooms only one cup was available for two people. Shower rooms that were on the other rooms were too small spiting water all over the bathroom. the water was cold on other rooms.

If I was not on a tour, I would have stayed for days there. The receptionist know how to handle customers. And the foot massage machine wow wow after a long drive to Polokwane. I really enjoyed myself there. The price of the content in the bar fridge is reasonable and yes I finished the bar fridge.
First I want to say thanks to Brenda, Vlak, Ronald, the whole kitchen crew and the Dutch management for our wonderful stay. Our youngest daughter had a tonsillitis and felt really miserable so she stayed in bed for two days. Meanwhile we went for the planned trips and the whole staff looked after our daughter. They made here fresh soup, fresh fruit juice and so on an...
We arrived and were impressed with the hotel, grounds and room. Two things spoilt our foreshortened stay as we left before our booked time. 1) A group of noisy guests arrived in a bus at 4 in the morning. The noise from their incessant chatter and laughing went on until we gave in and went for breakfast at 6h30 and booked out. 2) The food was rally disappointing asthey...
The place was great and really well kept, but one almost feels they trying to save water because at certain times there just isn't any water or the water flow out the taps to bath is just so slow you cant take a good enough bath.
I will be staying at Tamboti Lodge in future. We dinned at the lodge and was treated to amazing food cooked for us by Chef Peter. We travel a lot for business and this is a great comfortable modern Lodge and would highly recommend
We had a nice stay at Pam's place. The place was intimate, quiet, clean and nice. Pam was such a lovely host she would tell us stories and chat with us while making our breakfast. She is also very helpful in finalizing our itinerary. The room was cozy, and bathroom was really clean.
Its a giod place, well situated easily found. Garage and food nearby but i just wanna say the pool needs to clean there and there i am happy when i left the guys were busy with the pool renovating it. Price is the best i loved that keep it up see you next time
Great staff although disappointing stay, cleanliness was a bit aweful. Definitely not a place I'd call value for money.
I had a fantastic time at Mopane Bush Lodge. The team were very friendly and efficient, the food was good, the rooms and beds very comfortable and the scenery and animals were absolutely stunning, and very different from where I have been in Kruger and the Masai Mara. A jewel in the north and at the gateway to Botswana - would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay, we requested an early check in and was granted, the breakfast was good, the room was clean.the only set back was that we booked for a delux room but were given a standard room without any explanation, and when I made an enquiry I was not given any reason for not getting the booked room, but was told that I will be charged for a standard room in...
Just as we wanted it. It suited our purpose - to relax, read, write and be with Nature.
Isilimela was a short but sweet visit to the area. We recommend staying for a few days to enjoy all they have to offer. Great game drive and most of all amazing and accommodating hosts with a lot of knowledge about the area one of our best spots on the trip :)))
This place is located about 5 minutes away from the Aventura Resort. You will have to pass a graded road to get there but is still okay for a sedan. I found value for money in the quality of the rooms offered to guests. The only food we ate at the hotel was breakfast as we were at the water park during the day. Breakfast was quite enjoyable with outside seating for the...
We had a wonderful family weekend Friendly staff, clean, great food. Zebula has something to offer for the whole family - we will definitely be returning !! Bush unit was nice and spacious and very clean.
Friendly atmosphere
The management didn't inform us that The Legent is been liquidated and Monomotapa was affected, the place was dead and we had to drive 80 kms to just to get snacks the Receptionists didn't tell the truth from the word go. They kept lying to us until I manage to find out my way and eventually the manager called me and he did confirm the story. Thanks to him and his nam...

Great park, nice clean rooms, very quiet for busiest time of the year (31-12). Nice to see the Cheetahs in the cheetah camp.
Excellent accommodation with great dinners outside by the fire place. Great attention to detail and very nice staff. Make sure to get on the game drives with Amos and Stanley - they are the best!
We've been to other private game reserves/lodges before in S.A. and love them all. It took a bit of getting used to on arrival because the lodge itself is quite small (ragarding grounds and capacity) compared to the other reserves/lodges we had been to. The grounds are quite nice with some nice flowers here and there but they also like to keep it as natural as possible...
We had two nights here. The address (and National Park) provided on Agoda wasn't correct so we weren't at the park we thought we were. Staff were nice and food great, but overall it is too expensive for what you get.
