Where to stay in Northern Cape
Northern Cape hotels & accommodations
Only con I have is late at night staff setting up tables for next morning breakfast are too noisy
River Place was our second choice. Based on our experience, it's now our first choice for when we come back. The only negative was the amount of noise the occupants of the room above generated, when all we wanted to do was sleep. Next time we will request a different room. I will definitely come back and spend more time next time. Upington surprised me as a ...
Kimberley is a very ordinary town with very limited tourist facilities...except the Big Hole.. This hotel is the best in town and full of history...and restaurant is good...as nothing else in town !
The host contacted us via email shortly after we booked online. We we sent a softcopy of their braai (BBQ) menu, which was extremely helpful! It was a long drive up from Langebaan, we arrived at 9pm at the guesthouse. Luckily with the braai food, we didn't have to go hungry that night! We didn't manage to pick up booze on the way. The manager was so kind to open up th...
I'm an often guest in this hotel as i travel for business to Kimberley and I've never been disappointed so far. Nice rooms, beautiful design, very good food and friendly staff. This time I had the room not prepared properly for check-in, the soap wasn't changed after the previous customer and the staff even discovered a shirt in the closet. There was also a confusion...
Staff was extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. Especially when a tour operator dropped me at the last moment, they made alternative arrangements and saved my trip. Rooms have espresso machines ... Will certainly come again!
This makes it right to my list of top holidays, I just loved the Farm House we were in, everything you could possibly need was there. You felt right at home!
The room was very nice. Being so close to the river a bonus BUT the food we got for dinner was so expensive, you won't pay that in a four star hotel. Fillet and a small salad R190. They broke into our car and the manager and owner did not assist us in any way to have our car window just covered for our trip to Cape Town, to help us clean the car with all the glass of t...
Very clean. Play area for kids , Swimming pool . TV and a comfortable bed to sleep on , I enjoyed my sleep over stay & I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed overnight on a trip to Cape Town. The house and room were homely, spotless and had a very calm, peaceful atmosphere. Very comfortable bed. The hosts were helpful and friendly and very accommodating. I would highly recommend staying here.
Excellent Guesthouse we enjoyed your stay there and will definitely recommend if to family and friends.Staff very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at Rene's, however when I did the booking it was supposed to be in Kimberley, but in fact it is in Douglas, which is 100kms from Kimberley. Still very glad that we got to see a town that we have never seen before and the Guesthouse was superb.
Spotless rooms, nice patio outside room to sit with glass of wine. Good, free wi-fi.
Electricity was not connected inside , kettle hardly reached the plug ... BUT maybe this is normal for 2 star & only 255 !
Friendly family run establishment - owner was such a pleasure to deal with.
We needed a place to rest after attending a funeral. We felt like we were at home and enjoyed our short stay. We will definitely use Hadida next time we visit Kimberly and will recommend it to our family and friends.
This was our second visit and the Oxtail was again superb We tell everyone abut the Hotel and we certainly will be back again Sheldon and Sandra Smuts
We had a problem with our booking which was courteously handled. The premises, especially the garden were to behold. The breakfast was first class and all in all, a great travelling experience.
Bit of a distance from the N1 highway if driving from jhb but pleasantly surprised when arriving in Victoria West. Accommodation is perfect for small family. Sven and Schalk were great hosts. Friendly and informative. Thank you
I would be more nicer if you install the swimming pool
After a somewhat exhausting Journey, Brown's Manor felt like an oasis where you could replenish your energy. It was an all-round good experience and we are sure to return in future!
My mother and I stopped here between Augrabies Falls and Jo'burg and it was very comfortable and clean. Pieter and Alta were really friendly and helpful and sent us on our way with a packed breakfast to take on the road. Lovely people and a great place to stay!
My mother and I were only able to stay one night on our way from Cape Town to Augrabies, but we wish we could have stayed longer; this is such a lovely, peaceful place and the chalet really made the most of the beautiful desert surroundings. Extremely comfortable and clean. Highly recommended if you need somewhere to wind-down and recharge your batteries. There were su...
Wonderful, I would book again for my return if I was going back the same route. Family works well together and everything runs like clockwork.
The location is perfect and the staff are very friendly. We enjoyed every second of our stay.
We were under the impression by the way it was advertised, that this was a Protea hotel, but it is not a Protea any longer. The Protea is across the street and fortunately, we could use the fitness room and pool for no cost, both of which were very nice. Our room was as expected and clean, but clearly hadn’t been used in a while as it smelled musty. Staff was friendly ...
Absolutely amazing, would highly recommend a stay there! Really exceeded our expectations. Keep up the good work.

We stayed in the Family room which is self catering and wish to thank Ester Jordaan for her efficiency. The double bed was warm, had lovely fresh linen and a much needed electric blanket. We visited Sutherland when a cold front was passing, so the two heaters provided came in very helpful. I just thought the place could do with some deep cleaning....the shower ceiling ...
Staff was kind, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. Very good value for money!
To be honest, Colesberg is a small town and I did not expect this level of comfort. The room is clean, smells great, they look after the small things and very friendly. I will stay here again. I made the booking for two but when I arrived they noticed I was travveling with my 8 year old son. They gave me discount. Most places in South Africa will not be this honest. I ...

Hospitable hosts, real country gem. Beautiful original house, lovingly restored, charming bedrooms within the house for bed and breakfast Well equipped self catering unit behind the manor house.Great bedding and even a better sleep on a freezing night. Thank you Gezina.
We enjoyed our stay for the night on the way up north. It was comfortable and all we needed.

More inviting and well taken of.
I stayed in room 410 which was very spacious and clean, however, a function was being held on the deck outstide the passage of all the family rooms, and it was extremely noisy. One can hear the function and the people speaking and then the staff clearing up afterwards were so loud I had to ask them to be quiet so that I could sleep and that was after 10pm ! The one w...
Aircon at room #1 sounds like a tractor. This went on for my entire stayand nothing was done about it even though it could be heard clearly from reception and actually the entire ground floor. Not good value for money. Rather stay in other cheaper places in Springbok. Food is good! And not to badly priced. The places looks great from the road.
