Where to stay in Shaanxi
Shaanxi hotels & accommodations
This hotel is by far one of the very best 5 star hotel I have ever stayed. It suprassesd all my previous experiences in other 5 star hotels I have visited around the world. Great English speaking staff even the local staff. Great team work among the staff in knowing the guest and servicing the guest even between shifts. Great customer handling. They completely surpr...
I had a two week trip to China. I stayed at the Beijing Prime (4-5 star)then this hotel(4 star) then Chengdu Prolit Lanke(3 star) hotel and finally the Days Inn Beijing(4 star) I had the economy room with no window. So i'm guessing the rooms only get better. My room was on the 16th floor and it was lovely. Modern, clean and spacious. I would rather have had this room th...
The facilities at Hilton Xi'an is as good as any 5 star hotel. It is comfortable, clean and has great food. The location was convenient, close to the metro and walking distance from several popular tourist sites. The best feature of the hotel is the staff - the reception desk staff, the concierge, the staff at Cafe Xi'an where we had our breakfast, the staff o...
Excellent Room. Very classy. Jason the manager was a great guy and very helpful. Front desk staff were a bit too demure even for Chinese standards. I didn't get the welcome feeling from anyone other than Jason. Also, hotel policy states that housekeeping doesn't do dishes. Bad policy at a Resistance. Hotel needs to do this. Excellent gym too. Really special.
Stayed two nights in a Deluxe Suite at Grand Soluxe International Hotel in Xi’an and that was a great decision. We arrive at the Xi’an Railway station from Shanghai and the hotel was only a block away. As you depart the station and pass the city wall the hotel is at 11:00. The second reason to stay at the hotel is Tourist Bus #5 (route 306) leaves from the east side of...
We had a very pleasant stay at The Sofitel Hotel. The hotel is well located within walking distance to some of Xi'An's main sites and is modern and attractive .The best part of our stay was the outstanding service provided by Mark and James at the concierge desk. When we discovered that our next morning's flight to Chengdu had been cancelled, they immediately gave th...
Back packer combined with low budge hotel. Newly renovated with simple furniture, if you are looking for a cheap and clean place to stay in a good location this is a perfect choice. Rooms close to public toilet and shower could be noise which is the one we have got but no room is available to change at the time, remember to mentioned this to when booking. Rood top bar ...
Great hotel but further from the heart of the city. Need to take taxi to places of interest.
One thing which strikes us most during this stay in Novotel Xinqiao was the exceptional service from the staff at the concierge desk. Two male staff, particularly Lee, helped us a great lot in booking a tour in China. When we approached them, they even went to the extend of using their own phones and accounts to help us, ensuring we are able to book the tour as we did ...
I have traveled extensively & have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels around the world, & I found Angsana Xian Lintong hotel among the best there is, hands down. Class is written all over it. WOW!
Gran Melia is a truly 5 star and most wonderful place to stay in Xi’an. A hotel I will not missed when I visit Xi’an again and will surely recommend to my friends and family. It is located at a high end prime area of Xi’an. The hotel is big and quiet with many restaurants and dinning options nearby within 5-10 mins walking distance. It is a 15 min taxi ride to major sh...
I choose it because of it is closest to my girlfriend's campus.
Got to Xian for a day trip just to see the fabled Terracotta Warriors. Tour guide picked us up from hotel and afterwards dropped us off at the hotel. Xian was different from the other provinces i had visited.Compared to beijing and shenzhen, Xian actually felt more like china (if that makes sense)it had an old world china feel to it. Chinese architecture was visible f...
The hotel is not located along the main road, so will require guests to walk down the smaller road to access it. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel because of the exceptional service rendered here. Hotel staff are very courteous and prompt in providing assistance and follow-ups. Users of computers with heavy security features (e.g. company laptops) may hav...
It was one of the best Stays I have ever had with Kids, I travel a lot & I must say this hotel was one of the best in all matters as of now in my travelling history.
This hotel is centrally located in a former government building built with Soviet assistance in 1953. It is flanked by a 'regular' Sofitel on each side and a Mercure and Grand Mercure behind. It was amazing to find architecture like that in Xian, and it was refurbished beautifully. A really exceptional facility. It was opened in Sept. 2014, so was still very new at...
My wife and I had travelled to Xi'an in early May for an extended stay of 8 nights in order to visit the sights in and around this great city, and we considered ourselves very lucky to have chosen this hotel. We found the room to be very cosy and pleasant. It was well equipped with everything that you'd expect of a hotel of this standard, although the Wi-Fi was not tha...
Although location might not be the best but the hotel staff service was excellent ! Very helpful in trying to help us resolve matters with the local cab company when my sister left her phone in the cab. Did not expect to be able to retrieve the same but attitude of the hotel staff made the incident much bearable. There was a game room with Daytona, basketball, snooker ...
The location and cleanliness were great. The beds were on the small side--usually Chinese double rooms have two Chinese twin beds, which are about 42" wide, halfway between an American twin and an American double. This hotel had on Chinese twin and one American twin. It was clean and the AC worked well though and the location was perfect. NO ENGLISH IS SPOKEN by the s...
Stayed here for one saturday night on a weekend break in Xi'an. The staff were really helpful and attentive. We had a Club Room so you expect a little luxury and i wasn't dissapointed, the room was massive and immaculate. The buffet breakfast was wonderful, this is not the hotel to choose if you are on a diet. The only downer is the location. Tt's too far to walk from ...
Very pleasant stay. Very Friendly Staff. Would stay there again.
It's a new hotel. Location is at the outskirt of the city, some taxi drivers are not familiar with the location. But the surrounding is new and very clean and quiet.
Everything was good. New hotel, good clean room, good gym. They have snooker and pool table too. Breakfast is cheap if you buys it when booking the room. Very satisfied, nothing to complain.
For Americans familiar with the Howard Johnson brand don't think of an orange roof family style hotel. This is a modern high rise hotel with the quality room one would expect of a 4-5 star hotel. While not of the same standard as Sheraton, Hilton, Shangri-la, it is not much below this level. Personally feel it is great value for the money with an excellent location.
I had absolutely the best experience at this hotel. Couldn’t fault it. After getting off a long 13 hour train ride I was ready for a nice room and it didn’t disappoint. Great large comfortable room with big open bathroom. The service was also outstanding. The girls behind the desk were more than helpful. All of them. Also hotel is situated in a great part of town near...
For sure I will book this hotel again next time when I travel to Xi'an. The view is amazing!
It made us feel at home immediately when we arrived in this authentic American hotel, especially after our night train ride to the dusty ancient city in China. The room has good size, well appointed with new furniture. The bed is heavenly soft. We stayed in Chinese 5-star hotels in other cities and found their beds too hard. The bathroom is clean and spacious. Towels ...
I live right outside of Xi'an for work and come into the city every weekend. I've tried a few other hostels but I find myself coming back to Seetang time and time again. It's by far one of the best hostels in Xi'an. It costs a little more than others in the area, but it is worth it. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms and facilities are clean, and it is in a ...
Cheap places to stay in Shaanxi
The staff at the hostel were really friendly and spoke good English, they even booked us a taxi to the train station when we were leaving. The sky bar on the 12th floor is great and the staff in there were really nice and the food was ok. Only downfall was the room was stinking of cigarettes when we arrived and it was freezing cold, the heater didn’t work very well but...
I had been missed my train so I found this hostel and direct booked. It said only 6 bed dormitory and I thought it was mixed but it's female dorm. Located near Xi'an Drum Tower and Quarter Muslim just walk 10 mins. They provide sandals, toilets are clean, even so staff couldn't speak English fluently but we communicate easily. Just two things minus for me : * The rece...
I booked 3 nights stay with them, I am happy with the services provided. Except for the room unavailability on the first night though it was a prepaid booking, it became a hassle for the old folks especially when arriving at the owl hours. Other than that, I would say the staffs have rendered very good services by making arrangement for all the short trip which include...
I had a lovely stay here. I stayed for 2 nights. The first night I came in expecting to be in a dorm room an was pleasantly surprised to find that I would have a room to myself for the night. The second night I stayed I was told the same things, but then it was changed and I was to have a room mate. This was not a problem for me as I paid for a dorm room. The location ...
they are quite warm-hearted people,i felt i came back home when i arrived there.Great location for many scenery spots.Anyway, its wonderful!

The room description on the website said "shower" and as it was a separate room on the top floor I assumed it was in the room but it was a common shower room/ laundry room. I knew it was a hostel so this wasn't a problem for me but my wife was less understanding as I said the room had a shower in it. The room description could be a bit clearer. I wouldn't have booked t...

The hostel is within a local condominium and the host is staying at the same apartment. Walking distance to the subway as well as bus stations. The facilities are okay with reasonable pricing of the stay.
We stayed at Zergs for four nights and really liked it. We got delayed on a very long bus ride from Chengdu, and missed our first night and they did not charge us. We also got a lovely room with two beds, but asked for "the big bed" we saw in the photos, and they switched us to one. The room was just lovely with a thin mat on a huge cement platform (get the western ...
We were there for only 2 days and highly recommend it. The hostel has great tours that can occupy all your time in Xian. The hostel is owned by the same group along with a couple more, whose guests you will join on your tour. The rooms were very simple but clean. The beds were not the hardest Asian beds I've slept in, and were a bit larger than the "twin bed" we are us...
Booked 2 nights here and ended up staying 5 nights. The owner is lovely and really went out of his way to help us, he also did our laundry for free too! The room was spacious, clean and so warm and cosy considering it was -4 outside! The location is great, close to shops and restaurants and right opposite a bus stop. We had trouble finding the property as there are no ...
This was a NIGHTMARE place to find as the cab driver and several people just did not know where this place was. We resorted to going to an expensive hotel and asking directions as they could speak English. We were there during the week long National holiday as the rooms were seriously over priced. The guy working there was ok but spoke no English, so had to get another...
It was ok, it was just to sleep. The bed sheets were clean but the room was DURTY & the bathroom..... Wow, it gets rinsed when u take a shower but it needs a good bleaching!!
The building of the hotel is quite old. the staff don't speak english but they are quite friendly n willing to use app to translate and help you. location is just outside of the city wall. bus transport is easy from here. just walk less than 400m or so to a bus stop. the Air conditioning works but during autumn when it hits 0 or less, it is not sufficient so you will s...
Good location, close to everything that we need. Although a bit noisy at evening due to the live music played from those bars located at the next street, the lovely design, clean and comfortable beds, still made this small old house the best place to stay in Xi’an. Mr Hengyang Liu had brought us so much fun during the stay. Another gentleman of the front desk also had ...
This is a good place to stay if you are on a budget. It is in more of a traditional area, back off the main roads. The staff is very helpful. If you are looking for traditional western standards then maybe think about it, but if you are used to traveling around and especially in China, then this place is a good one.
A nice and clean inn. Good for your money and handy to to to anywhere
The Chinese couple that run this hotel are so kind and helpful with everything you need. They will always pick you up and drop you off at the airport no matter what time of day. The woman there also speaks English which is really helpful! They also give great travel advice for the best ways around Xi'an. Definitely recommended! 깨끗하고 친절한 호텔입니다. 3일동안 이 호텔에 숙박하며 감사하고 기...
This was a great hotel in xian. The owner and his daughter are so kind and helpful. They pick you up from the airport for free and we're always there when we needed them. The daughter showed us around the area, which has tons of street food and some markets. It's only 5 minutes from the airport and about one hour from the city center. They can help arrange transportati...
We travelled in 4 , stayed 2 nights in King Beds. Hotel was clean dan nice staff but didn't speak english. Use google translate. Location is good, not far from subway station, easy to find meal, not far from Xi'an South Gate. Very recomended.
We stayed only 1 night. On the next morning, we ask for 1/2 day car rental but they didn't provide such service. The staff has assisted to get a car for me (I think is China Grab) at reasonable price.
Hotel is good, location is very strategic..very easy to recognize. Room is spacious and clean. Staff is also very friendly. Definitely worth your money
this is a rather good value - basic amenities but very clean, very helpful personnel (despite their limited english) - they helped with ordering a taxi to the airport etc.
good, comfortable, good staff, good, comfortable, good staff
We had a most wonderful stay in XiAn thanks to the wonderful host. Help us with transport arrangements and took us around the city for a day and send us to airport at very reasonable rate. Highly recommended for one who want an easy and relaxing time in XiAn.
Good location. Very convenience to go any attractive spot .
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We have been to three jinjiangs throughout China and this one was by far the best. Shopping centre across the road is very big. Located near a lot of shops. Okay Internet connection in the lobby. This was very good value for money.
20yuan per hour if you depart after 1:00p.m
It's good for the price, but the bed is not kind bed at all, even smaller than Queen size bed. There's no wireless. It's pretty clean though. Good for the price.

Very nice and will book this hotel on the next time.
The hotel was very nice with spacious, comfortable rooms and soft beds (hard to find in China!). The western restaurant food was also very good with reasonable prices for a hotel. The pool looked nice but was quite cold. There are not a lot of food or snack options near the hotel as the area is still being developed. Snacks are available in the hotel store but are v...
Read mixed review about the hotel, but my stay ended up to be a great experience. I was lucky to be upgraded to the new wing. Everything in the room was sparkling new, there were even choices of lights for the bathroom, spa soft or spa normal. The service was at best efficient, though at times could be curt. I would still go back to this hotel for other great points t...
Great location situated in the old town where all the attractions are. Cool decor with modern Chnese vibes. No TV or desk or wardrobe which is a bit inconvenient if you are staying more than 3 days. The hotel pets are cute & add a certain charm to our stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
3 of us checked into 3 different rooms on 6th floor and we were astonished to find out that the Hotel uses Central air conditioning system and during this autumn period the staffs actually told us the Hotel doesn't turn on the aircon instead they are taking in the air from outside and blow it into our rooms. Luckily my room windows can open just a bit to ventilate, bot...
We are backpackers who were given a free upgrade to this hotel due to some booking issues. We checked in maybe half an hour after the booking was made with zero issues. So we were pretty thrilled with how spacious our twin room was and the luxury of having more than one pillow and a fairly comfortable bed. There was a TV, desk, wardrobe and a mini fridge. We had a pri...
Very good hotel, best I have stayed in before. Hotel was clean, new, modern. They missed no details. This is the type of hotel that provides umbrellas to you when it's raining outside, and the type of hotel which has fast stable internet. Location is not dead in the centre of the city but its only a short distance away. Only problem is it was alittle difficult to find ...

The hotel and the staff were great. The breakfast was good, a fusion of "American" and Chinese fare. The staff were helpful, occasionally they had to find the person with the best English, such as when we wanted to get a cab to the Terracotta warriors and airport but they were always accommodating. The location was relatively nice and quiet. Unfortunately there wasn'...
overall, hotel is decently well maintained, valued for money especially for biz traveller who only need to spent time having desired rest, and not staying long inside the room for comfort. however room does provide comfy armchair and serves small 2 person meeting well. room are spacious and able to acommodate small family purpose. location is well positioned, within t...
This place is beyond our expectations. Convenient location but not too crowed. Subway station is steps away. Ten mins to bell tower. The room is very clean. Comfy and luxury. I just love the bathroom. I think the owels they used there were from luxury brand, much softer and comfy than any other hotels that we have ever been.Food there is reasonably priced, some food is...
We had to change rooms 3 times. Aircon was pumping out hot air. Got to 30 degrees!! Some rooms had terrible cigarette smoke smells. Size of room huge & clean but quality of amenities poor. Breakfast pretty sad.
I booked thinking it was a boutique hotel, but was surprised that it had that feel, but in a large, well appointed hotel! I made a mistake booking one day to early and Agoda had no problem working with the concierge to move it to the correct day. The exterior of the hotel exceeded my expectations, as did the classic interior, and stunning garden with swans and peacoc...
The hotel was booked on Agoda after cancelling a prior booking for another hotel which reveived some bad reviews. This is one of the nicest hotel experiences in 40 years of travel . For under 200$ USD/night we had a suite with 2 large comfy beds for us and our 2 nine year old girls. Bathroom spotless and huge , with TV in spa tub and separate shower with steam option. ...
In general the staying was nice. a minor problem with the small nails that hold the carpet which was fixed when I asked very quickly. Breakfast was nice and the location of the room was also nice. the room coffee and sugar was very poor and there was no water in the fridge and I had to ask to it. the location not very far from the wall only a short distance which I do...
every thing good
Room great - very big, very comfortable bed & all amenities you would expect. Bathroom fantastic - shower could fit 4! Visited the Western restaurant one night & the food was good & not too expensive for a hotel. Staff were great on all occasions - most spoke English. Only two criticisms: the WiFi didn't work for the duration of my stay & the location is quite far from...
This one is the best service hotel I have expericed in China. Nice staff. Free parking, free laundry, free tea break.
Most helpful staff at a hotel I've come across in my entire stay in China. One guy stood out the most, unfortunately didn't get his name but he was extremely helpful from giving suggestions on what to do for the day, to arranging transportation and providing adequate info for us to catch bus's on our next leg of our journey's. Good location being right in front of a...

The aircon was not able to set to cooler temperature thus was sweating after my warm bath. And I'm the VIP in the hotel, but the staff got missed up and sent the fruits to my colleague's room as we both have the same family name.
I would also like to highly praise the staff of Concierge, in particular, Mr. Xi Jun Dong 席俊东, because he offered prompt assistance in booking the ticket of Shaanxi History Museum.
It was my first business trip stay at this hotel. When I checked in, I was welcome by very friendly staff Summer 夏秋 with her great service and smile. Through the hotel we booked an airport pick-up with a car and driver which was much more expensive than taking a taxi, but worth every penny to be greeted by the smiling face of a hotel meeter and greeter and to be handed over to the driver. Head Receptionist, very officious. When we checked into our double room she informed us that it was hotel policy that the room price only included one breakfast. This hotel rates 10 out 10. We stayed for three nights and there was nothing we found that needs improvement. Paul from Australia
I’m actually already booking home stay in Xian via Airbnb but after I see the room condition, I decide to look for a hotel... I had find at least 6 Hotel, travel by didi, spent at least 3 hours to find it... this hotel is the best location for traveller
Location was great, close to subway and eating street. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The room look great, clean and neat. Wifi works good as well. The only thing not good is the drainage system in the bathroom, always clogged and water unable to drained causing the bathroom full of water. Overall, I'm satisfied with the accommodation.
The room was wonderfully clean and spacious with good views through the two windows. It is in a new part of town and most of the shops are still being built so there were no bars and very few restaurants. One drawback was there was no fridge otherwise it was worth the money.
We had a most wonderful stay in XiAn thanks to the wonderful host. Help us with transport arrangements and took us around the city for a day and send us to airport at very reasonable rate. Highly recommended for one who want an easy and relaxing time in XiAn.
