"Very nice and clean rooms, mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Room amenities were nice. Toilet flushed well and the shower head is massive with sturdy pressure that heats up fast with great range between really cold and really hot. Close enough to Sai Kung by bus or taxi for touring. Best surprise was the breakfast. Expected the typical continental buffet but the meal sets were fantastic, especially the Japanese set with the perfectly cooked salmon filet and miso soup. You also get fresh orange juice and coffee. Didn’t get to use the pool due touring but looks really nice and had a great view as it is on rooftop. Nothing around by foot though so best to bring any snacks or drinks beforehand."

"We stayed at the "glamping" option. Just a big tent, but with mattress and linens. Location is excellent- can catch or get dropped off on bus #7 line which runs every half hour from Sai Kung, also about 20 minute walk to Hoi Ha, where you can rent kayaks, and have a small restaurant during the day (overpriced). The kitchen/ bathroom at the YHA were a bit dirty, but typical hostel standard. At the YHA you can get drinks and eggs/ bread, but that is about it, so would recommend bringing in food to cook if you can, or they have hot water for noodles. We were lucky to get an Uber from Wu Kai Sha MTR, only about 100HKD, but taxi would have been around 220. There are some hiking trails nearby, but main attraction is kayaking out on the coral reef at Hoi Ha, though didn't see too much fish, but still fun for the kids. Note- you have to pay for "membership" to YHA if don't have it- addititional 25HKD I think. Staff spoke great English and extremely helpful (even brought in laundry w/ storm)"
