Sentosa hotels & places to stay

Yes it was hard to part with my money to stay on Sentosa Island. I googled, I read reviews and I thought long and hard about staying at Sentosa vs at a hotel near Sentosa and in the end, the convenience of staying on the island won (tip for parents with small kids) Then there was the hard choice of where to stay in Sentosa... I initially had reservations to staying at Siloso Beach Resort because of all the reviews but after seeing the pics, and reading the bad reviews and the good ones and the ones in between, I decided to take a chance and book Siloso Resort because of the price and because I was curious about an eco hotel and thought it would be nice to stay in a place surrounded by Mother Nature... And my husband and I are so glad to have made this choice. Yes the rooms were slightly dated but they were clean and quite spacious. We has a room on the 7th floor faxing the pool and what a delight it was to see it each morning. We loved the pool (look at the pics!) and the Jacuzzi and the greenery everywhere - so soothing and it really felt good to be surrounded by Mother Nature. The food for breakfast was to met, sufficient. Not a massive spread, but enough to fuel your day (kids will love the pastries and yoghurt) though do come early to avoid disappointment. Also I only met very helpful staff (thankfully) during our stay. As for the location, no complaints. A lovely stroll from the monorail (made so much more easier if u have a pram) especially in the evening. Many restaurants and cafes (and bars) along the way. We also had parking at the premises which was on the same floor as our room! (Hooray!) So to cut this long review short, yes, I would come back again and it was indeed a pleasant stay. I am glad I decided to take my chances and stay here. We will be back again Siloso Beach Resort.

Our family liked to stay in this hotel since the past when it was still under the Movenpick management. This was especially so because we had always stayed in the Heritage Wing. This is our first stay under Le Meridien management and in the Contemporary Wing. The room looked smaller and less classy but overall we still liked the experience very much. Plus points:- - Fantastic location just across the road from the Merlion Tower where there is a KFC, 711 convenient shop, Coffee Bean, etc. - Rooms are in general bigger than other hotels in Sentosa - Price is cheaper than other hotels in Sentosa. - The ground floor of the hotel is much quieter compare the bunch of hotels around AWS which are very rowdy and gave me the feeling of a supermarket. - The hotel staffs were generally very helpful and friendly. We were given a parking lot despite an on-going wedding reception - a much needed help in the heavy rain rather than parking at Beach carpark. The 3rd bed for my daughter was delivered very promptly. Minor points to suggest: - At the hotel main entrance, there used to be a nice Zen like fragrance. That always gave us the feeling of calmness and peace especially in the evening. Will be good to bring back that fragrance. - The welcome drink on the day of our arrival was too diluted. I could only taste water and barely a tinge of the fruits. - The gel-like body wash and shampoo was rather difficult to use. Could consider changing the bottles to a more classy one like before and in the liquid form rather than gel.

We were looking for a hotel in Sentosa to spend a weekend. It was a last-minute decision and unfortunately most of the hotels including hard rock, Capella and some RWS hotels were fully-booked. We were not into spa so Amara was not our choice. But, it turned out to be not only the hotel offering best rates among other sentosa hotels, but we were also very satisfied with the decor of the room and overall ambience. We would go back anytime. Also, the hotel is located rather near to palawan beach where we brought our toddler to the Port of Lost Wonder.

The staff are very pleasant and ready to help. The location is nice. While Sentosa itself is small, this hotel is about a 5 minute drive to Merlion and another 5 minutes ahead to ResortsWorld. Its also walking distance to the bus stop where the free buses (these buses go to convenient locations around the Sentosa island) take a stop. The views from the hotel are nice, overlooking the marina. It doesn't have the feel of your conventional hotel with closed walls. Its very open and is a nice pleasing property. They lack a dedicated bell desk, however the front desk staff are always ready to help with luggage. Please note that the hotel's room service is available only until 10pm and housekeeping until 9pm. They do try to accommodate any emergency of housekeeping if required (we did require). We stayed in the Monte Carlo Suite 2, which is the 2nd highest category room in the hotel. Its a spacious and well kept room with a large bathroom and with a balcony. The downside is there is no window or direct sunlight in the bedroom part itself. The only daylight that comes is the indirect one through the bathroom (the layout is such). At the prices charged, the toiletries should be of better quality/brand. The same layout and room size etc is available for possibly lower prices as other category suites, only without a balcony but more or less the same view, which makes this a little less value for money. One also gets a good room at the W hotel at the same price as mine, with the same location in Sentosa. We also had ants in one part of the room (in a cupboard and the adjacent open shelf). Unfortunately, 2 boxes of my younger child's food (formula milk powder and cereal powder) got infected with ants and had to be thrown. Luckily we had carried extras. We didn't bring this issue to the hotel's notice. We are vegetarians and the food options available were quite limited. Whats available however, is good to taste (don't miss the chocolate milkshake!). We did have one issue whe

It differs from other hotels in Sentosa, in a positive way, because of it's quiet and relaxed atmosphere. There is transport to all sorts of entertainment at Sentosa, and the staff are friendly and eager to help the tourists out. The in-room facilities were a great surprise, varying from the TWG teabags to the iHome smartphone stand. The room was luxurious and the restroom was humungous. As a fact, the restroom might as well have been the highlight of the hotel. It consisted of two spacious stalls, one for showering and the other for the toilet, two sinks, a make up table and a bathtub with a small television in sight, which was located beside the make up table. There is also a curtain, for there is a piece of glass between the room and the restroom, which is controlled by a switch. Moving on to the room, there was plenty space to move around and it was well equipped. There was a sofa, a king-sized bed and a small table below the television. A balconey was also included in the family room, offering an amazing view of Sentosa. Overall, the Equarius Hotel is an ideal place for a family to stay at when travelling at Sentosa and I certainly think their five star is well deserved.

Our stay at the W Hotel in Sentosa was fasinating. I think it was actually the Best Hotel of the year for us. We stayed 2 nights and felt so comfortable. Pool was so nice and lovely design and was able to relax and was able to release all the stress. Kids especially loved the pool and spent the whole day in the pool. There is a very nice promenade by the side where luxury yachts are all parked.. It feels very romantic when walking with your love ones. W is the best hotel in Sentosa and we have no doubt about that.

The Hotel was the best hotel in Sentosa for many years before the new ones open. But I like this hotel the best because of its natural environment and friendly service. The hotel is very guite and green. The rooms are maintained quite well and nicely appointed.The terrace restaurant offer quite good variety of western and oriental food and are delicious. You can walk down to the beach by a wooden walk way in about 10 minutes. The hotel can be acessed by free shuttle bus to other areas of the island so it is really ideal. Will definately visit again.

We had a fun and memorable experience during our stay at Resorts World Festive Hotel in Sentosa as we celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday. We got the flash deal here in Agoda for Deluxe 3D2N inclusive of 3 attractions. My daughter had the best time of her life and have always cherished our Singapore trip because of such superb experience. We are planning to book here again next year and would definitely make it 5 days instead. It was all worth it and we're very happy to have chosen to stay here. Moreover staffs are very friendly, accommodating and responds quickly. I have recommended it to my family members, relatives and friends. Big thumbs up!!!

Checking in was not very smooth for us as I forgot to bring my identitication card for verification, even when my companion volunteered to use hers, Capella is very strict to only verify the booking with the person who booked the room even though i produced the credit card i used to book. A little inconvenient but at least they are strict in the check-in policy which at least makes me feel safer on security standard.. They are however kind enough to release the room to us but still expect me to provide a softcopy of my identitification card within 12 hrs. While I was pondering (with a sunken face) on how should i get it done as Sentosa is very far away from my house, Sophia noticed my expression and out of concern, asked me whether I am okay and do I need any help. She seemed apologetic to my situation but they still stand by their policy.. Not complaining but giving them the thumbs up for attentiveness to guest and being strict on policy which i hardly see in other hotels. Fortunately i managed to find a softcopy and cleared the check-in fast. However, our room was not ready (even at check-in time) and we were ushered to The Library to enjoy their lounge with snacks and drinks. We waited for almost 2 hours before we were told that our apartment is ready. Not very happy with the wait as I would expect it to be ready by check-in time, and we got bored with the minimal snack selections that didn't get top up fast enough. The staff serving us has been very friendly and drove us to our apartment even though it was a 2-3 mins walk from the lobby. Upon arrival then the staff told us that they have upgraded our room from a 1-bedroom apartment to a 3-bedroom apartment apartment! Luckily we were here for a celebration, eventually those who are not staying decided to stay and enjoy the fantastic apartment. Totally awe by the apartment as it is very well equipped with stoves, fridge, microwave and even oven! There is also dryer and washer at the back of the kitchen. Every roo

this hotel in sentosa is a well known in sentosa. but it's my first time there due to the price but surprisingly i find my money very much worth while during my stay there. i got my own private pool with and also a outdoor bathroom which is so awesome. even if you dont wanna shower out there, you can still choose the indoor bathroom. everything you want is there. a buggy to bring you around the hotel premises. live life like a king

I called up the Resorts World Sentosa hotline and was shocked when the Guest Reservations officer announced that all of their beach villas were fully booked till Dec 2012. Fortunately, I did not believe her and looked up Agoda.com where I secured a 1-bedroom villa for a night. The beach villas are located adjacent to the Equarius RSW hotel within the RSW complex. You drop off your bags and register at the Equarius check-in counter. Thereafter, you are escorted by buggy to your designated beach villa for an in-villa check in. My friendly butler was there waiting for me with a welcome drink, and check-in proceeded uneventfully. The 1-bedroom villa was of a semi-detached configuration, with another adjacent to it...it was NOT a fully detached villa enclosed within its own compound. The interior of the 1-bedroom villa consisted of a spacious bedroom, connected to a bathroom with an outdoor patio and jacuzzi. Regretfully, there was no separate sitting area. The bathroom had a large tub, as well as a rainshower stall with a separate WC. Toiletries were from ESPA. Instead of a private pool, you had to share a common free-form swimming lagoon with the other villas. Each villa had its own outdoor jacuzzi although it is NOT private as the patio and jacuzzi are open to view from your neighbours. Moreover, the beach villa is a misnomer as there is no beach. The ESPA spa and gym were NOT open during my stay (this point was sadly NOT mentioned by RSW). Breakfast was at the Forest restaurant over at the Equarius. The buffet spread was mediocre but they did offer you the option of ala carte orders. Service was excellent however. Strangely, I had a problem with millipedes in my villa bathroom. However, the service from my butler was stellar! It is also worthwhile to occasionally forgo the buggy ride to walk among the lushly landscaped grounds.
