Traveler impressions of Langkawi
1\ love the sunset, so peaceful, so beautiful. 2\ love the seafood restaurants behind the beach, delicious and good value.
we rent a car at the airport upon arrival. the price is reasonable. we use waze for all the journey. but most of the places i went is near airport area.
Those who love drinking alcohol and eating imported chocolates, this would be the best island to go to.
A beautiful island, got lots of activities, eg. jet ski, mangrove trip, car riding, fishing.. The seafood is also very delicious!
Langkawi is duty free island and you might consider to tour to whole duty free outlets (mostly located at Kuah) to survey chocolates, dinning wares and sarongs.
Basically is a small place but a relaxing for family and couple. Good to spend 1-2 night for drink and refreshing the mind.
Well developed town. The ferry terminal is really 3rd country standard, faulty aircon without maintenance, unorganized boarding system.
definitely a duty free shopping haven. Alcohol and Tobacco tops the list but I see a lot of kitchenware, especially Correle, being a top shopping item.
Places to Visit + Island Hopping (Pregnant Maiden Isalnd, Eagle feeding, etc.,) + SkyBridge, Cable Card, 3D Art Museum + Mangrove Park, Buddha temple, waterfalls
driving in langkawi is quite good as the road there not complicate at all, beaches there are nice, like the life there, quite relax, the sky cable there not bad to visit and walk around but not in peak season.
Fanstatic seafoods, nice beaches and sun. Great view from the cable car. Duty free chocolates and wines.
Beautiful Island, but the shopping appears to be aimed at lower income bracket...lots of cheap products.
Look around for cheap ground tour which offer the same package, have a break at the Nest-rooftop Agate Royal Hotel along Cenang beach where you can have a breathtaking and spectacular view of the sea especially the sunset at the same time enjoy your drinks/food.
the place is good with nice beaches and a good choice of restaurants/cafes, do take island hopping trip for half a day, amazing and very cheap
The Cenang Beach is a place where you really need to visit. Nice view and white sandy beach are to die for
we found the island large and very interesting. the geology of the region is amazing. take time to visit or talk to the people from the UNESCO world heritage office by the cable way also I believe they have people and an office at the mangrove tour and bat cave area.
Nice infrastructure in general, helpful inhabitants, plenty of sun & sea activities for everyone... However, things are getting expensive & can be comparable to prices in KL, especially food in the restaurants.
A small town with rich heritage. And developed over the past decade with Underwater World, Skybridge etc.
Good place for holidays and please aid the long holidays to visit Langkawai as this place would be crowded and the service standard would drop, as expected.
langkawi has the main attraction of Skybridge (cable Car), - a must visit in Langkawi. The other main attraction is visiting island around Langkawi, its fun!
Renting a car to travel around the island is a good idea but you might want to book it in advance as it can be very popular especially during peak season.
ISLAND HOPING is a must try activity when you are in Langkawi! this trip will cost you around rm30-rm35 per person and they will bring us to visit 3 different island which are Tasik Dayang Bunting, Pulau Beras Basah and Pulau Lang (eagle feedin session).
to enjoy the utmost activities, recommended to come during school holidays. However, to those who are planing to reach Langkawi by bus or ferry, please ensure to get the ticket earlier.
Very laid back town. very pristine beaches. the Geopark was wonderful. the seafood was so fresh and excellent.
Langkawi is a quite/calm city where you can sit back and relax ..enjoy beaches, water falls..with nice sea food /drinks in the evening! Ofcourse, Vegetarians like me will have less options except few reasturants.
If you come to Langkawi, you must take the Island Hopping trip at the Teluk Baru Jetty for RM45 per person.
Fantastic island. Lots of place to visit. Seafood is cheap and for non-muslim, alcohol is cheap as well since Langkawi is duty free island.
Generally is good but there are too many of illegal car rental there. The authority departments should look into this issue seriously.
A best place go away from your work. A peaceful place where you can regain your energy levels. A beautiful place which you should not miss.
nice shop at oriental village, got cable car for sky bridge langkawi, duck town and telaga harbour park , nice eagle square at kuah jetty
