Wanchai hotels & places to stay

the property on the wanchai stop for the fifth time. there were other hotels, particularly in the king hotel in wanchai, but there are horrible little room. there were in the city garden hotel, but it is much farther to the east, and expensive. this excellent location, very convenient to the metro 3 minutes on foot. up to two central stop on the subway. prior to the exhibition center on foot 10 minutes. non-normal, with two children 5 years and 10 years, enough space for themselves. 22-24 m2. the main thing is that they take into account the mistakes of the past, and really made the wifi for free if regestrirueshsya through agoda. near plenty of pubs, restaurants, bars where you can really revel, if you want much, then say goodbye with a certain amount of money without a fault. go go girls you really help in this. there is a very cool bar, where they play real hard rock, the real guys from the philippines, you can purchase and hear eagles, or nazareth. title bar "amazoniya". near the hotel also has two pool bar where you can play billiards, and immediately order a meal. a cool morning to visit the gym, then swim in the pool, which runs from may to october, from monday to friday from 8 am to 13 days on weekends and holidays only opens at 10 am. breakfast is not cheap, if ordered separately is worth 95 hk $. the station will bring you to hongkong on the bus shatlbas, which passes almost the entire central hong kong, and goes round and around the people on the two routes. including up to wharney gd hotel. similarly, in reverse order, every 30 minutes you will be taken and delivered to the station of hong kong. around the network of shops "7 ellevan", the only thing that is not very good when drunk americans, australians, irish shy away down the sidewalk, and it is not possible to pass through their noisy crowd.

Pros: - New hotel - Clean and nicely decorated - Friendly staff - Away from the old building area. It is relatively quiet place. - Location is convenient. It located in between Wanchai and Causeway Bay MTR. There is bus 15 to the victoria peak nearby. - There is a good Chinese restaurant in the hotel. the food is pricey though. Cons: - There is a cemetery behind the hotel. Avoid if you have concern - Nothing much to see and eat downstairs - location. It is a 10 mins walk to MTR station. Bus or tram might be a better choice. Overall: This is a hotel I will definitely consider for my next trip.

This is a new hotel in wanchai and I was in Hong Kong on business alone so it suited my requirements. The location was superb and the design and detailing of the rooms above average the only negative thing I would say is just the size of the rooms being barely big enough for your queen size bed. However the toilet was well set out and comfortable .... definitely would stay again !

I stayed in Dorsett Wanchai hotel for four nights with my daughter and a friend. We reserved for an extra bed. The room was quite full for three people inside with three suitcases. However, the facilities are okay such as iron, hairdryer and amenities. The room is cleaned well everyday and the staffs are nice also helpful. I am happy with the hotel location since it is quite close to Ammar mosque, which there is a moslem canteen there serving delicious halal meals especially the dimsum. Causewaybay area is just about 10 minutes walk from hotel. The closest MTR are Wan Chai and Causewaybay (located inside Times Square mall). It is recommended place to stay during your visit to HK.

I had stayed with my wife and 3 yr old son at Wanchai 88 Hotel on 18th to 22nd Mar. Walking from the Wan Chai MTR to the hotel takes less then 5 minutes. Do take Exit A4 which is the nearest and also has the only station street level lift. Due to night check-in, I was not sure if the concierge would assist with our luggage and therefore brought it up ourselves to the reception at Level 3. The check-in was pretty fast. I had booked the Mountain View Queen Room but they had informed me that I will be given a free upgrade to the Mountain View King Suite! It was a pleasant surprise! The room is huge, all aspects of the room in terms of facilities, cleanliness, bed, etc. was pretty good Do visit the reception for light breakfast from 07:00 to 10:00 am. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Wanchai 88 and I will recommend this hotel.

Hotel is at a convenient location between Wanchai and Causeeay Bay. Easy reach to most amenities. Under 7 minutes walking distance to airport bus stops. Customer service took over 20 minutes to response to my request to change room due to left over curry smell from previous tenant who probably heated up a microwave dish of curry in the room. Hallways were very hot because the hall air conditioner was turned off or not functioning. Room is clean after they changed it, towels are clean but thin. No free airport shuttle.

I was pleasantly surprised by the close proximity from the convention centre vs the rate I paid. All the other surrounding hotels cost much more. Room was of very decent size (for the hotel rating & hongkong standard). Conceige was excellent, very helpful to my every needs. We required assistance to ship some stuff back home & they were very helpful to carry our stuff to the post office nearby. Disappointed that there is no free wifi, otherwise this hotel would be perfect value for money for any business traveller that is looking for a hotel in wanchai area.

This was a last minute booking as we had changes to our flights and we did not have too many choices. The hotel is a little pricey for an old hotel but it is well maintained and has many F&B options. Upon check-in, the receptionist had received our request for a baby cot in the room and this was done efficiently. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality and new condition of the cot. The baby linen were beautiful and an added plus. The rooms are spacious for a Hong Kong hotel and there was lots of room to move around even after placing a baby cot. The toilets had gold taps and lots of mirrors, providing lots of amusement for our baby. The bed could have been better. It tended to sag a little in the middle but we were too tired at the end of every day to complain. We were greeted warmly every time we stepped in and out of the hotel and this made the experience wonderful. The MTR subway was quite a distance but after the second day, we figured out that using the overhead bridges was the best way to get there. It took about 15 minutes to walk to Wanchai station, given we had a baby with us. The sports facilities are wonderful. There are 2 pools and a huge playground. The gym looked very nice too, even though we didn't have a chance to step in there.

OK This hotel will not be for everybody. Remember hotel rooms in Hong Kong are expensive and small as space is at a premium. The room was fine but small. Had all the required facilities, fast internet etc. Was fine for me I was on my own. 2 people and cases would be a squeeze. Location, Right next to Wanchai metro and bang smack in the middle of the Wanchai bar area/ entertainment area. Dont dispair turn left out of the hotel and within a few hundred yards is the White Stag bar. Ladies plying their wares are banned. Run by a British cycling fanatic. Was looked after very well by him and all his staff. The other great asset of this hotel is that it is walking distance to the exhibition centre. Having found this hotel would not stay anywhere else when visiting Hong Kong

Always a pleasure to come back here, friendly staff, hotel under constant improvement, perfect location for business and pleasure. Easy to reach with public transportation, smoking rooms are missing, but that is pretty much the rule in HKG nowadays. All in all one of the best budget hotels in Wanchai area, not only because its newly renovated and modern, but because it's kept in good condition unlike other hotels in same range and area.

good hotel in wanchai in a good location. the room size is excellent and the bed is quite comfortable. there was no noise from outside or inside the hotel, something that is important for a light sleeper like me. staff is friendly and fast in dealing with my requests. i was placed on a smoking floor but fortunately had no smells at all which suggest cleaning and house keeping is good. the location is just off the main corridor with the trams and busses and a short walk from the ferry. i will consider this hotel again on my next visit.

very nice hotel in wanchai, that i would recommend. design of room and hotel is very cool. free wifi is good. short walk away from mtr stations, buses and trams are even closer. my only complaint is that the room does not have a heater. it got really cold in the room as i stayed during winter time. to compensate the staff offered to double my duvet to help keep me warm.

I chose this hotel for the location, and it was great. Wanchai MTR was a 5 minute walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ended up doing an upgrade to a premier room, which was worth the extra money. With that I got a room on the highest floor, unlimited wired internet access in the room, late check-out until 4pm, breakfast, and free cocktails in the evening. I'm not sure how much bigger the room was than the regular rooms, though. The room was smallish, but I was fine with it. The shower was great.

This was my first time staying at the Regal iClub. I usually stay at other hotels down the road in Wanchai, but those were overpriced for the night I was there. The Regal had a very good price (for Hong Kong), and I was pleasantly surprised about the location and quality of the hotel. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Wanchai MTR station (exit A4), so you are not that far from all of the opportunities Wanchai brings. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy and the staff were very nice. The room was bigger than most rooms I've had in Hong Kong, so I was pleasantly surprised with that. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was quality, as well. Overall, it's a very nice hotel, and I will definitely stay here again if it has the best price of my usual Wanchai hotels.

Renaissance Harbourview Hotel in Wanchai is my hotel of choice whenever I come to Hong Kong for business or leisure. It's location in Wanchai is fantastic. Very accessible. The Hotel itself is very modern and contemporary. It's decor and ambience is very international, and the staff all speak English. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel has great amenities. I find the hotel very useful for business meetings, and the food in the restaurant is of high quality. Definitely recommend this place to other business travellers in Hong Kong.

I was here for a short stay in Hong Kong with medical-related reasons (about a family member). I came here alone. Hong Kong Island has more areas which are less crowded. Cosmo Hotel is near a residential area, a horse race course and the Causeway Bay- a shopping center area. This place is so accessible. Right in front of the glass door is the bus stop which leads you to 2 MTR stations, Ocean Park bus stop at Admiralty and Central. The hotel provides shuttle hourly to Causeway Bay MTR, important places like Admiralty, HK Convention & Exhibition Center in Wanchai and IFC, where the Airport Express is. Their staff is assisting. Unlike quite a lot of workers in Hong Kong, they have good command of English language. One turn-off is that my room's view is the cemetery beside the hotel. It gives some creeps, though that's quite psychological and biased. However, the hotel area is not part of the overcrowded parts of Hong Kong.

thought i had to settle for the last deal during the 2011 xmas accommodation rush in hong kong. but i definitely had the best deal for this unknown property in a fairly convenient location. the room is strikingly large and has given me the impression of everything there being new, the toilet, the shower and bath robe. the living area is big enough to entertain a few guests. what impressed me more was that there are windows on both sides of the walls that make the room look even bigger and lighter. it is only a walking distance to cwb and wanchai shopping areas, making this property even more attractive for people to stay. i will certainly have hesitation to stay there again. but i do hope the room rates won't go up as much as they are now.

We were surprised at how nice the rooms were. 2 Single beds (bigger than standard), couples can fit easily. Very clean, small details were thought about, and comfortable feeling through. Nice mosaic on the wall. Huge floor to ceiling Windows with electronic curtains had a view of the mountains or other condos in wanchai depending what side you are located. Bang and O speakers had a nice ring to it. Balanced seperate speakers With good highs had a nice ring to it. Mini bar was enough to satisfy one's drinking palette. Good service by the people, quick to your requests. Pool at the rooftop was not as great as expected, small and lacking a pool side bar. But still nice. All in a all a great boutique hotel in the heart of Wanchai.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is also centrally located within walking distance from several modes of transportation. There are many amenities in the neighborhood from the Wanchai Market to well-known and well-regarded dining establishments. The only negative to this hotel is that very steep and narrow road up to the hotel from the main road. It gets very slippery when it rains. Taxis also avoid this road.

My stay was for 6 days at the mingle. I stayed in the single room. As expected space was tiny but as a single traveler it was fine (i've stayed in smaller rooms in hk). The best thing about the hotel was the cleanliness, the room's and toilets were clean and well designed. Only problem was the noise from the busy road, which will do well with better sound insulation. Also, if you've got heavy luggage, take note that there's no lift. When you want a respite from the busy streets, head up to the 6th floor rooftop for a drink under the moonlight (surrounded by other tall buildings of course)

Ou room: Bright, airy and well designed with efficient airconditioning ample closet space and even a shoe rack by the door, mini-kitchen complete with microwave, water heater, utensils, even a little chopping board, bathroom was complete with toiletries, thick towels, strong water pressure and heating, strong wifi signal. Location: On Hennessy Road in the middle of Wanchai, close to the MTR, numerous dining options (one door away from a Michelin star restaurant) supermarkets all around. Entranceway and elevators were well-ventilated and clean, no weird smells. Staff was accommodating and efficient. No-frills facilities but basic amenities are complete. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. Would stay here again.

I stayed in Check Inn HK for 12 days, and found it to the most economical, value for money accommodation right-smack in the heart of HK. I did some research, and found Check Inn to be the most affordable stay per night; and great staffs with great service willing to assist you in the best way they know how, and are flexible enough to accommodate to your request. I was allowed to switch beds due to being uncomfortable sleeping near some weird folks, and the staffs are kind enough to accede to my request, giving me the upper deck at the location I prefer. They have WIFI and free computers for your usage, so no need to bring your laptop along. Any photos or videos you take can be uploaded to your social media via their computers provided. There's also free snacks on the staff counter you can help yourself to, and the shower is a little small, but that's the way in HK, where apartments, toilets and rooms are small, but overall it's clean and service is excellent. GO downstairs, you can head to any eateries and just a short walk to Wanchai MTR. Take your time to explore HK if you've got lotsa time. Oh, the staffs here also organise trips to the peak to view the HK landscapes from the mountains! There is no doubt about it- If I am ever coming back to HK, I will book Check Inn again!

during my stay at this hotel, it has been a fantastic stay here with excellent services which i received from the staff. the location is also gd(abt 7-10mins walk to the nearest mtr going by the rear of the hotel following the highway). this is truly a 5star hotel which i'm talking about not mentioning the lift as it currently going through some renovations. overall, thumbs up for v wanchai hotel

Last minute booking, it’s more like apartment stay, not an hotel, but my checkin was really good, Indonesian girl (forgot the name) was super friendly and room was better than I expected, I had the inroom bathroom, but some rooms have the bathroom outside which is clearly stated while your booking. Bed was good and had some HK channels to look if like to, location is just super, all the Wanchai bars nearby as well many restaurants. Would like to have safetybox, maybe they can add. Can recommend the Home Plus Inn

We had a great stay in this incredible apartment. The place was clean and comfortable with arctic like AC, a real plus in the middle of HK summer. It was steps to the ding ding, short walk to MTR and the neighbor is full of shops, restaurants and nice bars. The roof top pool and lounge area were a true added bonus. Isaac and his staff was super accommodating. We hope to return!
